I’ve went for 13.5K ish with a #3 debut.

I wouldn’t be shocked if it did go to #1 but iirc Drakes heavily rumoured to release and he’d beat her on streams alone.

I’m intrigued to see the first week sales / position of this though. It’s definitely beating the peak of Witness though.

Very hard to predict
I think she could do similar to Ellie Goulding... which is enough for #1 on a quiet week
so in the end it will depend on others... first, on Drake (if he releases or not)
and second on how the Dua Remix album performs...which is also hard to predict but
considering it doesn't have a preorder maybe it's just streaming so Katy might have her #1 in the end

The fact that the instant grat hardly troubled the iTunes Top 100 isn’t a good sign is it?

I didn’t realise Gregory Porter was so popular mess, he’s already #12 on Amazon while she’s #98 :’) #2 at best then.

Katy is predicted for 10k at #2, while GP is predicted for 12k at #1 currently. Greg will get a lot more casual sales, but Katy will get a lot more sales from her store from fans.

didn't realise Gregory Porter was such a big selling force, from MW when he released his last album:

US jazz singer Gregory Porter was never in the chase for No.1 but scores his third straight Top 10 album, and secures his highest chart placing to date with his fifth studio album, Nat "King" Cole & Me. As its title suggests, the album is a tribute to legendary crooner Nat "King" Cole, and consists primarily of songs associated with him, though there's also a Cole-inspired original, When Love Was King. With first week sales of 29,694 copies, the album opens at No.3. It is the highest sales for this chart position for 32 weeks.

Porter's previous best position and first week sales came in May 2016, when his fourth and most recent studio album, Take Me To The Alley sold 19,320 copies to debut at No.5. Porter's first two albums, Water (2010) and Be Good (2012) were both modest successes, peaking at No.182 and No.113 ahead of his breakthrough album Liquid Spirit, which debuted at No.40 (2,502 sales) in September 2013, and peaked a year and a half (78 weeks) later, reaching No.9. It has sold 348,910 copies to date, substantially more than all of his other albums combined.

What’s she predicted to do in the US? Is she likely to get the #1 album there providing there’s not a surprise release from a megastar or streaming force happening?

In terms of the UK I think anything higher than #6 we should he happy with as that’s what Witness entered the charts at.

Around 50/60k in the US. Taylor will probably keep her from #1 as she's still doing over 100k.

She did 180k with Witness with tour bundles and a big hit on the album, as well as big promo like SNL, VMAs, Carpool Karaoke. This album has one moderate hit from a year ago, no tour bundles and minimal promo due to Covid (and the fact shes pregnant).
