hoax isn't top 100 (and is quite a bit off, it'd be around ~115)

I think I'm settling on this being my album ranking now after a couple weeks:

1. epiphany (untouchable)

2. cardigan
3. my tears ricochet

4. seven
5. the last great american dynasty
6. mirrorball
7. exile

8. august
9. Betty
10. the 1

11. mad woman
12. this is me trying
13. the lakes

14. illicit affairs
15. hoax
16. invisible string
17. peace

that 4-7 section is SO close. 8-10 are close. 14 to 16 are SO close as well. ahhhh drama.gif

was also thinking that, besides the vinyl, the cassettes had a different release day, didn't they? cannot find it now but I thought I saw a different shipment day than vinyls...so we could see another bump when those cassettes go out

ooh hopefully this'll provide exile & cardigan with some stability on iTunes, especially as it seems like radio 2 playlisting has really helped songs climb/stay stable on iTunes this year more than ever laugh.gif get those extra 50 sales *.* (and hopefully they'll playlist something properly next week!)

number #1 in America for a 2nd week with 135k cheer.gif a fab hold and next week should def be 3 figures, possibly an increase due to the target/in store physicals *.* <3

More weeks at 1 than Lover!

Of Folklore’s second-week units, SEA units comprise 102,000 (down 53%), album sales total 30,000 (down 95%) and TEA units equal 3,000 (down 81%).

981,000 total units and will pass 1mil asap cheeseblock.png

I’m optimistic we will do this if she’s already at #1 in the midweeks it’ll likely just extend the lead it already has hopefully!

6,700 sales whew! cheer.gif

some physicals definitely shipped for this week's chart then considering last Monday's update was 4,680 and streaming is lower this week!

Lover did 11,459 3rd week. Lover had 4.1k on its 3rd Monday update so I'm guessing this week we'll end up in the ~14-18k zone

This is amazing. Can’t believe it is doing so well! Clearly the impromptu release (plus the amazing reviews) have really worked!

US 2nd week:

08 01 01 02 Taylor Swift - cardigan
23 04 04 02 Taylor Swift ‒ the 1
36 06 06 02 Taylor Swift feat. Bon Iver ‒ exile
66 13 13 02 Taylor Swift ‒ the last great american dynasty
69 16 16 02 Taylor Swift ‒ my tears ricochet
73 23 23 02 Taylor Swift ‒ august
85 37 37 02 Taylor Swift ‒ invisible string
91 42 42 02 Taylor Swift ‒ betty
93 26 26 02 Taylor Swift ‒ mirrorball
98 35 35 02 Taylor Swift ‒ seven

the other six fell out.

Pretty great on the whole cheer.gif def wasn't expecting that many songs to last!! It's interesting whilst the UK's 2nd week most the tracks were still in trackless order, the US has really gone out of tracklist order! invisible string in 7th was a surprise to me ohmy.gif betty also unsurprisingly climbing into 8th! <3

in comparison this was lover's 2nd week:
12 04 02 12 Taylor Swift ‒ You Need To Calm Down (with f***ing dull Lewis Capaldi 11th both times with songs that took 9000 years to take off in the US)
23 10 10 03 Taylor Swift ‒ Lover
54 11 02 20 Taylor Swift feat. Brendon Urie ‒ ME!
61 23 23 02 Taylor Swift ‒ The Man
71 29 29 02 Taylor Swift ‒ Cruel Summer
74 28 28 02 Taylor Swift ‒ I Forgot That You Existed

everything else dropped out so slay folklore!

3rd week projected same figure cheer.gif streaming units expected to decrease around 50% whilst physicals climbing by about 20-30k.

It's at 10,653 atm so just under ~2k on each of the last two days! Looks like #1 is v. likely happening <3 <3

with the extra day of streaming, we're probs looking at around ~6k, so I'm expecting a week just above/under 16k rn!

'epiphany' and 'exile' are career highlights, with 'cardigan' and 'seven' not far behind.

Do you guys have any idea why Taylor is not huge in the rest of Europe? She's doing fantastic in the UK and Ireland, but in other markets like France, Germany, Italy and the Scandinavian countries she's just not that big.

I can’t wait to listen to this album in Autumn and Winter, I feel like it’ll sound even better
I get that it was released in July because it was recorded during lockdown but it really doesn’t feel like a summer album at all laugh.gif

This is now my favourite non Gaga album of the year so far!

I still can’t get enough of it as a whole piece. I love how she just didn’t hype this up didn’t even do any promo before hand just literally released with an announcement hours before. The music speaks for itself though.

It’ll be so hard for her to beat this album for me now wub.gif wub.gif id love her to do some sort of intimate type tour purely just for this record the tracks would work so well in that setting (obv when it’s safe to do so etc).
