Whether you're still a die-hard stan, casual listener or full blown Little Monster, during which period of the past 10 or so years have you stanned Gaga the most? Which year, era, single release or maybe just moment has been your peak stan period?

I don't know ohmy.gif

I remember stanning super hard when Perfect Illusion was released and played it like 60 times a day but I adored the whole ARTPOP era already. I think my stanning has grown through the years so maybe now? I've seen ASIB so many times and played the soundtrack for 10 months straight soon. Hard to tell!!!

I guess one knows when one realises that one's NOT stanning any more.

For me it was the release of the Telephone music video and its aftermath (pretty much up until the end of the Born This Way era!). I had never seen ANYTHING like the music video and I showed it to everyone that walked into my house. I joined Twitter and just spent every waking moment tweeting, discussing and loving Gaga. Then when she did the VMAs in the Meat Dress and announced Born This Way, I knew I was going to be a fan for life. Her snippet of the single at the awards sent me into overdrive and during the months that passed until we got the single..I stanned SO f***ING HARD. I spent every moment I could thinking about her. cry.gif

WHAT A TIME TO BE ALIVE.

I could say the SUPER BOWL is the total peak moment in every aspect! Not a month goes by without watching it tbh

For me it was literally during the ASIB era.

Like between September / October of last year leading up to the Grammys 2019

That’s when I was most obsessive over her too. I was constantly checking Twitter and social sites and it just felt so special.

I felt like that was for me the time when people I knew sort of begun to understood why I love her so much and people started to see what I’d been saying for near enough a decade. Plus the material was my personal favourite material from her in a long while and vocally and everything she just shone. I felt like she just seemed so happy in herself too and I was just like wow this is special.

Before that I’d say it was in summer 2011. The Born This Way album come out the day of an exam I had like my first GCSE lol and I literally couldn’t focus on anything but rushing out to get the album asap as soon as the exam finished.
I even ran out of a revision class to make it out for HMV closing laugh.gif the day the actual Born This Way single premiered I skived the afternoon off to hear the stream live and accidentally answered the phone when they rang my parents home phone
to ask why I wasn’t at my final lesson lol. The Born This Way era was released during a time I was self discovering and I was an absolute rebel in some ways too at that time.

Tbh though I literally remember where I was during pretty much every Gaga era. I got in so much trouble at school during the The Fame, The Fame Monster and Born This Way eras. Whenever she released anything when I was at school I would always skive or do something to try and get out and watch it. I was so bad for that in years ten and eleven.

The Born This Way era was something else wub.gif

With ASIB, of course I have stanned hard, but it's actually more feelings of PRIDE than sheer looning obsession. I am so proud with how far she become and her recognition for her TALENTS during the ASIB will always have a place in my heart. heart.gif

I still love her now of course but my peak of diehard stanning was the entire period of 2009 to 2011. The Fame got me into her with the catchy pop songs and visuals like 'Poker Face' and 'Paparazzi'. I then remember hearing 'Bad Romance' for the first time and being blown away, still my favourite Gaga song! I then had the same experience when it came to the video. Such an exciting pop star. 'The Fame Monster' did not disappoint as I LOVED every new song on there except 'Teeth' which had never clicked. Don't get me started on how many times I watched the 'Telephone' video. My hype for the 'Born This Way' era was insanely high and I remember the day the title track premiered so well. My best friends were huge Gaga fans too (yesssss) so we were all eagerly anticipating it together. I ended up spamming the song many times and loved how uplifting it was. Then the album came out and what an album it was wub.gif seriously epic. I would play it to anyone who would listen and always made my parents put the CD on in the car laugh.gif I was still hyped for ARTPOP, I remember being in Spain when 'Applause' premiered and specifically went to an internet cafe to hear it, but I wasn't so fond of that era on the whole compared to the previous ones.

Wow, I'm clearly not a STAN compared to some of you, but Gaga definitely became one of the more exciting pop stars for me back in like 2009. She was so different from most of the stuff I listened to. I remember when 'Poker Face' was everywhere and I kept hearing it, not rly liking it at first but after a while it got stuck in my head. I didn't care much for 'Just Dance' at first either but PF made me kinda interested.

So I think I bought The Fame Monster based on my sudden love of 'Poker Face' and I used to play the hell out of it. I loved 'Paparazzi', 'Paper Gangsta', 'So Happy I Could Die' etc. There was something about the catchy and sometimes euphoric melodies on her songs that I found easy to connect to, without them feeling throwaway at all.

I still like her obviously but don't actually listen as much as I did a few years ago. Similarly to Jade, my 'peak period' was probably like 2009-2011, that's when I was most excited.

I feel like in late 2008-early 2009 in the run-up to her UK launch was my real peak obsession, I was telling everyone I know to watch out for her because she's amazing and they were like "yeah, whatever" - until she was huge that is. laugh.gif

I was really obsessed with the BTW album around release, and as a whole piece I still regard it as her best. I've always loved her but my fandom slipped a bit at Artpop.

2009-2011 was my peak with the TFM era being the absolute peak where everything I did and talked about was somehow Gaga related laugh.gif I used to check GagaDaily more or less everyday so see what she was up to and where she was in the world.

I wouldn't call myself a stan by any means, but the closest I've come to it is during this ASIB period. I bloody loved her Superbowl too though wub.gif Couldn't stop praising her.
