Well the prediction game didn't work out so I am trying out another idea which isn't really a game. The new releases are above and you vote in the poll for what you predict the film will open with. Posse post your answers and hopefully this creates discussion smile.gif
This one is for the American box office

US new releases:
Focus- Will Smith and Margot Robbie action thriller
The Lazarus Effect- Horror movie

My predictions:
Focus should do very well. $28M
The Lazarus effect will bomb. $6M

Focus and The Lazarus Effect should be close together in their opening weekend grossings. The latter has Zoe Saldana, so...

Hmm. I think...

38.3m for 'Focus'
4.1m for 'Lazarus Effect'

I dunno, but I really am expecting big things for 'Focus' (I'm usually wrong on these type things though, so don't quote me! laugh.gif).

That's a lot less than I was thinking 'Focus' would do at worst! I genuinely thought $25M would be the worst to expect. ohmy.gif I don't think it'll be a "flop" as such, just a bit of under performance! Especially with all the promo that's happening.

'The Lazarus Effect' seemed to have some hype then I guess! I thought it was non-existent. Glad though. I'm looking forward to seeing it!

I would agree with focus being a bit of under performance but nothing too bad. It will be interesting to see the legs as the directors last film crazy stupid love opened with like the exact same and finished with 85M
I wonder when the Lazarus effect will get a UK release date
