Oh wow wasn't expecting an album! I've loved his recent singles, so looking forward to this
This came out on streaming earlier, just another of those EPs consisting of songs that already exist but the title is JB6 and includes Holy, Lonely and Anyone, all but confirming they'll all be on the album.
Let's hope the start of each song doesn't sound exactly the same again!
I suppose Lana will likely beat him to #1 here?
I reckon so, Lana's last album sold 31k on first week verses Justin's 18k.
but there's been a lot of backlash against Lana
don't think she's gonna get the universal acclaim she got with NFR
That's a really good album cover!
Ugh.. that cover is tragic
Love the artwork, and I'm so ready
The singles have been solid so far in the UK at least, I think depending on what the next single is that could sway the album to number 1.
Anyway I am in the minority but I really liked Changes. I've enjoyed the singles so far from Justice, interested to see what the complete album is like. Definitely sounds like it will be more pop/MOR.
Although I hate Changes, I've quite liked the singles from this so far so I'm interested to hear it!
The cover alone is stunning, hope he releases a better album than changes which had 1 good song.

His collab with Laroi could be huge
Hmm none of those features particularly excite me, other than Dominc Fike but he's not been living up to his early music lately :/
Though I'm not really a Chance fan and Holy is brilliant!
Moderately interested in the Burna Boy feature I guess ~
I actually really liked 'Anyone' so I hope that's more indicative of the quality of his other new stuff than his 2020 output which was all very middling at best.
Sorry if i sound old... but who is Laroi ???
People saying the album cover looks good?! Wash out your eyes, girls.
Not sure what's meant to be so bad about it? It's a great shot, love the colouring and fonts used too. He's hit and miss with album covers but this is a lot better than Changes in my opinion.
It reminds me a lot of certain late 90s album (or compilation) covers in a good way!
I like the album cover! Stands out anyway which is the job. Also the title reminds me of Justin Timberlake and Justified back in the day so I quite like the tie-in with his own name! I'm just hoping it's not an album of him being mopey and calling out for justice in his world.
The cover looks like something that someone who is reasonably okay at working photoshop might create. It's not bad but it's just not to the standard of a professional team, which I assume Justin has. There's a lot going on effects-wise and I think it would benefit from being toned down (although I would probably use a different photoshoot all together).

I feel like Bieber collabs with my faves rarely live up to my expectations yet I'm still SO hyped for the Laroi collab...
Looks like some of the rumours are true and there will be at least one Skrillex produced track on the album.
Oops! To be fair, when I saw the album cover the first thing I thought of was Justice's logo
What an album !!!
As I am is that tune
Why is peaches being pushed
That lawsuit is pretty much all the press this is getting in the industry publications right now. Not sure, if it has any effect on GP though
In next weeks album chart, I reckon Lana will be #1 on sales but this will be #1 officially
I'll have to give this a few listens, it's always the same with his albums. As I Am stands out as the most instant for sure, it is definitely the catchiest.
I quite like Peaches too, I can see why they are pushing it in America especially. It does sound like it would have fit in Changes more though.
He's releasing a Deluxe version on Monday
Well this album is a GREAT return to the Bieber we love. The production is sublime for the most part and pretty much every track works.
My only point of contention is, as important and powerful as the Martin Luther King interludes are, they don't really fit with the surrounding songs that seem to be overtly about his relationship/love for Hailey. So they seem a bit out of place, but of course, the exposure and messages they convey are welcomed!
'Lonely' is probably my least favourite song on there but even that works as a strong album closer with the vibe suddenly slowing to a halt as it closes.
Overall, the album is fantastic - so many highlights This is the return I wanted!
His best album and as cohesive as Purpose.. what a stunning return to form.
It really is such a return to form, what an incredible album! Not a single dud track. I agree the MLK Interlude felt quite out of place despite the lovely message but that aside, I can't really fault it. The sequencing, the actual material, and the features are all great.
The alternate artwork CDs each have a bonus track - Red Eye (feat. TroyBoi), Hailey (not as cringeworthy a song as you'd expect x) and Angels Speak - so I assume they're the three deluxe songs for Monday.
Wow this is a great album
Chalk and cheese to the last album! His best album to date by quite a distance! Some great reviews as well (and some poor ones by reviewers that see its Bieber and don't actually listen to it). As I am is the one!
I think this album is great, people defo hate on him for the littlest things - there’s nothing really wrong with the artwork either IMO.
Ghost, Somebody and Unstable are my favs atm
Whole album except the interlude is top 50 on UK Spotify, Peaches is just a few hundred streams off #1. Hold On #7 on Spotify and #3 on Apple so looking good for it to FINALLY become a top 10 hit!
He has the whole top 7 on US Spotify and every song is top 30 there, except the interlude which is #34.
This is actually a really great album! Way better than I was expecting and I already know I'm going to be listening to it so much more than I listened to Changes.
I think Ghost is my favourite atm
Deserve You really is THAT SONG
This is such an incredible album based on first listen - no filler at all, and a definite return to form after Changes (which isn't even a bad album, just very forgettable).
The album is so good! It's going to be massive *_* There are still so many single choices after "Hold On".
"Somebody", "As I Am", "Deserve You" & "Ghost" are what I'm thinking. Even "Die For You" actually - I really like the 70s/80s vibe of the production.
I know I am in the minority, but I bloody loved Changes. It took a lot of listens to get the album as a whole, but I really enjoyed it.
I'm finding the same with Justice. I've enjoyed the singles but I haven't been blown away. Hold On for me is the weakest of the singles, I am a little surprised they went with that to lead the album. This is way more of a follow-up to Purpose in terms of style, but it's far more Pop orientated. The only minor criticism I have is what a few people have said already about the MLK stuff. Reading interviews I know what he is wanting to achieve with the message and meaning but it doesn't quite work for me.
Love You Different, Off My Face and Peaches are my fav. The latter is an absolute pop, glad to see it doing really well.
Not quite sure I'm up there with the hype surrounding it atm, but it's definitely a bigger improvement on his previous album but it's still a bit uninteresting, for me.
No idea why they're pushing 'Peaches' as the single to launch the album off of? It's definitely the worst on the album for me 'As I Am', 'Off My Face', 'Die For You' & 'Somebody' are my highlights (I've finally come around to 'Anyone' too!).
A solid album don't get me wrong, but it's still pretty much just "there" ultimately for me. I assume that will soon be wiped away the more I become familiar with the album.
I could only get through half of each song, which is admittedly an improvement on the last album.
Also, what exactly is this justice he's fighting for?
It's obvious that he is using MLK and those upcoming r&b artists such as Giveon and D. Caesar to get some genre credibility. But is it the "Justice"?
Or MAYBE just maybe he loves R&B and appreciates the genre. I hate 2021!
I wouldn't be so sceptic if the Grammy rant didn't happen.
He's clearly an R&B fan. This album isn't R&B at all really, if he wanted genre credibility he probably wouldn't have put out one of his poppiest albums to date?
Yeah the album obviously has *some* R&B influences but is not at its core an R&B record - it’s pop. But it’s been apparent for the best part of a decade now that Justin clearly has an affinity for R&B music, a listen to Journals would confirm that in a second (which I, probably controversially, think is his best body of work).
Aside from the fact that Justice has maybe one too many ballads for my taste, it’s a GREAT album and I can’t stress how much of an improvement it is from Changes, which was literally just ambient noise.
I absolutely love Peaches
Daniel Caesar would be a curious choice of artist to gain 'genre credibility' considering he's had some controversies of his own
Btw am not planning to listen to this album but I am continuing to be impressed by the massive improvement in his singles in 2021 - 'Anyone' was the best thing he'd put out for years and I think I like 'Hold On' even more!
Why would you not listen if you were so impressed by the last two singles?
Also, I am v impressed by the album! I love the two singles, Peaches, As I Am and Die For You the most so far
I wasn't keen on Peaches initially but it's grown loads and I'm happy to see it be a hit.
Lonely is by far the worst.
'Peaches' grows more and more with each listen. I'm really happy it's a single now
The album as a whole is such a great listen. I've had it on repeat pretty much all weekend!
Can't stop listening to this whole album My ranking so far, including the bonus tracks from the exclusive CDs:
1. Anyone (truly a career best, this still hits me so hard )
2. Hold On
3. Deserve You
4. Unstable (I wish this popped off more than it does but I can't get over how good Justin and Laroi sound together, I hope there are more collabs on the cards!)
5. Love You Different
6. Ghost (this one's soaring up with each play)
7. Holy
8. Off My Face
9. Peaches
10. As I Am
11. Die for You
12. Somebody
13. Loved By You
14. Hailey
15. Lonely
16. Red Eye (this production *_* )
17. 2 Much (though this is the perfect opener!)
18. Angels Speak
Angels Speak is genuinely the only one I don't really care for
I think the problem with the MLK interlude is leading into literally a love song... about your wife. it's a really odd placing.
I really like 'peaches'
Not feeling this unfortunately. Definitely better than Changes but I still not the level I'd have thought after reading online comments. Maybe I'm just not a massive fan anymore after him previously being one of my favourite artists. Sigh...
Also Peaches is absolutely revolting and one of the worst, how is that song blowing up?! Truly baffling!
Guess that deluxe isn't out today then!
Not sure if they always been there but his website is selling cassettes. I don't remember seeing them earlier.
New tracks:
17. There She Go (feat. Lil Uzi Vert)
18. I Can't Be Myself (feat. Jaden)
19. Lifetime
20. Wish You Would (feat. Quavo)
21. Know No Better (feat. DaBaby)
22. Name (feat. Tori Kelly)
Loads of collabs! And the three physical bonus tracks remain just that for now.
The Tori collab is stunning
Wow I wonder why he didn’t put some of those big name collabs on the original release
Haven’t listened to the deluxe tracks yet but I hope it doesn’t keep up with the recent trend for me where deluxe versions drag the album down as a whole
Like the whole album, I think the extra tracks take some more listenings. I can see why they are left off the main album for the most part as they don't fit the whole tone as much. A couple of them I do actually wonder if they are leftovers from Changes (Wish You Would and Know No Better). They have a similar type of production.
Just had a listen to the deluxe tracks and ngl I'm quite disappointed
'There She Go' and 'Wish You Would' really do sound like Changes rejects and most of the others are just quite forgettable. 'Name' is stunning though so at least I like one of the new tracks!
Number 1 in Ireland this week with Lana Del Rey at 2.
'Peaches' is quite nice, not blown away by it but I can definitely seeing it being huge.
The Tori collab is stunning, really loving that the most of the deluxe tracks Do agree with the comments about some of the others sounding like rejects from Changes though oops
Lifetime doesn’t fit the main album but it does sound like a smash, it’s the sort of ballad Ed Sheeran would chart with for three years straight. Really liking I Can’t Be Myself and Name from the bonus tracks too.
The main album is very solid overall, vastly better than Changes for me. I’ve liked all of the singles from it to some extent, particularly Anyone and Hold On. Peaches is not my type of thing but it’s very catchy and I can see why it’s smashing.
See it’s really interesting, I can’t get it on to Name at all but I really like I Can’t Be Myself, that definitely sounds like it could fit on the album. Gooddelta- I totally agree about Lifetime- I had to check the song credits to see who wrote it to check it wasn’t Ed Sheeran! I definitely think it could have fit in the first half of the album before the MLK interlude.
I Can't Be Myself is the only one of the new tracks that could slot into the main album for me, it's my fave of the six! I really like There She Go though and both Lifetime and Name are lovely. DaBaby's rap on Know No Better makes it worthwhile Wish You Would is probably my least favourite across the whole 24-track thing (!) (ignoring MLK lol), it's perfectly fine but quite average.
Still though, among 24 tracks there's 22 I find worthwhile - that's such a great hit rate and perhaps even better than Believe, which is my favourite Bieber album. We'll see how I feel about this when it's brand new but I think Changes proves that a new Bieber album doesn't always get stan bias from me
there was a miley deluxe that was originally due on the album but for whatever reason they didn't include it (cough scooter)
#1 in the US confirmed, 154k units - over double what Lana managed at #2
I wonder how often the deluxe coming in the second week is going to be a thing... look at Nick Jonas starting a trend.
my last.fm however is ruined.
Lol at you thinking Nick Jonas started the trend. It's been a trend for a while now (Lil Uzi Vert was the first one).
Was it NAV who released the deluxe almost BEFORE the actual album (like two days after)
Yeah, NAV released his less than a week after the original album. Conveniently turning an album that was looking like a pretty close shave between #1 and #2 into an easy #1 debut in the US.
Very relevant x
Officially the first male artist to debut at #1 on the Hot 100 and the Billboard 200 simultaneously
Male *solo artist it's the fourth time there has been a simultaneous debut at #1 on both charts, and all four of those have been in the last year (Taylor Swift with 'cardigan'/'folklore', BTS with 'Life Goes On'/'BE' and Taylor Swift again with 'willow'/'evermore'), this has to be one of the most rapidly devaluing Billboard records ever
(but still, WD to ha, getting those #1s is obviously always a noteworthy achievement even if this particular stat isn't as impressive as it would have been a year ago xx)
I made a playlist with all of his single. Am i missing anything?
Thanks
is he going to do anything else with this?
it makes no sense why their bothered with a deluxe edition and didnt promote one of those songs...
