And it will go to US pop radio in early 2015:

Can't wait to hear how this sounds!
nice girl & singer
Out February 15th.
Is it just me or do all her songs sound the same now?
it's the epitome of PEDESTRIAN
lazy, boring and...very cold. for a song about love the entire thing feels entirely clinical.
It's trending WW on twattir. Eugh.
There's such a lack of new music I'll accept just about anything right now. This is kinda decent and isn't so generic like Burn etc.
Oh my, that chorus. YES YES YES.
Surprised at the generally muted reaction to this - really liking it on first listen. Great chorus. I'd imagine this'll be the type of sound she's going for with her third album - more commercial than 'Halcyon' while retaining her idiosyncrasies.
produced by max martin and co-written by tove lo
I personally think this is brilliant, that's a mega chorus and the production is fantastic. The string outro is gorgeous too.
Sounds really good on first listen - the chorus is definitely the best bit!
Can't believe how pop she's gone! This is a world away from 'The Writer' or 'Guns and Horses'. Agreed that the chorus is the best bit.
Love this and great fit for this soundtrack.
Well I love all of it. Sounds perfect for what a soundtrack should be imho. Plus it's better than Beating Heart as well which sounded nothing more than average.
This is amazing. Everything she does is great!
sounds dated already. Her vocals on the chorus don't even sound like her
Coming from somone who at times can't bear Ellie's voice, I was pleasantly surprised on first listen. Shamelessly repetitive chorus aside, I think it's a great song for the 50SOG soundtrack. The lyrics are nowhere near as generic as 'Burn' with a few lyrical gems in there, her "what are you waiting for?" is the best I've heard her voice and to the person who says it sounds too clinical - I haven't actually read 50SOG and only know what it is vaguely about but I always thought it wasn't actually a "love story" it was more of a, I guess, "clinical sex story". Maybe I'm wrong though.
For a soundtrack single, I really like this! It's much better than the previous one. It does sound more like a poppier version of a 'Halcyon' track.
Oh Ellie. You've finally given me another track I can get behind. Absolutely loving this on first listen. It's really, really nice.
It sounds exactly how a smash single off a soundtrack should. It's not the most distinctive but it's well produced with a huge hook. Ellie slays again.
SLAY
This fits the film well I think but her voice suits a song like this. I'm very impressed, sounds like the sort of song Sia would write that would go on to smash. Love it <3
This is amazing, and the part where it goes quiet just after the "middle 8" and all the production crashes back in for the final chorus is sensational!
Released February 15th in the UK and can be pre-ordered now!
No one wants this music from her.
I DO x
This is a really really good track, WAAAAAAY better than Beating Heart if we're comparing her soundtrack singles.
This isn't the Ellie I fell in love with I'm afraid
Really kicked in at the second chorus and was so good through to the end.
Everyone needs to stop dissing "Beating Heart" though, I loved that one too.
This has the sound of hit all over it. Love Me Like You Do bridges the gap nicely to her new album which we are told is coming this year.
I have a feeling this will have 'Boom Clap'-like success worldwide and may turn into being the first single from her new album in the same way 'Boom Clap' did for Charli.
I love this
Looking at the YouTube of this racking up 20,000+ likes in 12 hours, this is shaping up to be massive..
Just perfect for hooking up with the emerging film popularity.
The first time I have heard a song by Ellie and not felt like my ears would bleed. Lovely song.
Very nice, I agree that it sounds more in the vein of the original Halcyon than her recent releases, and that was always way better than the genericness that followed so that's great (and I was expecting that same genericness with this title as well!). If this turns out to be similar to the sound of her new album, I'd be very much on board.
LOVE it, of course it's leagues better than 'Beating Heart'. That was nothingy.
This is going pop in the right way for her, I liked 'Burn' but this is a lot better and more natural sounding for her.
After playing the track a few times, its finally clicked with me, its got a great chorus, such a lovely song, a great power emotional ballad.
Very good effort! Beating Heart >>>> tho
That chorus is very good tbh.
SO SO GOOD.
Really impressed on first listen, absolutely nothing 'grower' about this, straight in with a killer chorus and is capitalising on the hype of a big movie by not just producing something a bit half-arsed as I felt 'Beating Heart' was. This is so gonna be on repeat for me.
this is sounding quite good, I'm sure it'll grow on me too. Better than Beating Heart anyway, no surprise it's set to do better in the chart
Sounds very promising on 1st listen (which is normally a good sign).
This is so stunning
I love the verse and the 2nd chorus is just absolutely stunning
This is actually very good! I wasn't rushing to listen to it after 'Beating Heart' disappointed me, but Rob insisted I should. Thanks Rob x
So amazing, best thing she's done since 'Anything Could Happen'.
God this is fire.
Echoing the love for this throughout the thread. It was so immediate for me (especially as it's one of the first songs that I heard the radio premiere of in years!) Hopefully Ellie gets a massive smash out of this as well, I'm hoping for her third album to be released this year and for it to absolutely dominate!
This is incredible and I can see it being huge!
Surely another number 1 for her? I really do believe that (obviously ignoring any "surprise" releases) this will be the song to knock 'Uptown Funk' off of the top spot. But I do wonder if she'll perform this at the BRITS if she gets a slot. I hope so.
Thank God this could actually smash in the US.
most added on pop radio this week and looking to all intents and purposes, being the next #01 after mark ronson (a brit replacing a brit too)
ellie is well on her way to becoming a global force and though whilst not a great fan of hers anymore compared to the early days, i can't help but admire her career trajectory. from the herefordshire girl with the 'under the sheets' demo on myspace to international popstar, it really is quite something...
i can't get this song outta my head. pop perfection
the song (which has grown), video and film look tacky as fuck and all the better for it *.*
The video is a bit meh for me, especially after Thinking out Loud did the dance thing....
Still a great song though.
Does anyone know if the song actually features in the movie??
HMMMM someone has to piss on this parade so I'm not really massively feeling this on first listen The vocals in parts sound a little odd and it all just feels a bit half-arsed and boring. Like, could they at least have written more than 2 lyrics for the chorus? And I see what she's going for with the last chorus but it just seems to me like the same boring thing just repeated a bit louder which doesn't make it any better. I'm sure it'll grow on me but very disappointed with this especially after the massive love it's received (plus I've been a big fan of most of Ellie's singles including 'Beating Heart').
I think Ellie succeeds in delivering emotion in this more than most of her other stuff.
AGREED. And as for not having a moment, that final chorus is about the biggest 'moment' in pop for like the past 12 months, I find it so impactful and incredible. 3 weeks later and I'm still not even slightly bored of hammering it.
Great new tune and its already no20 on just pre-orders so I expect this will do very well.
Well the release date of this has been pulled forward to this Sunday - maybe if (when) this is a huge hit right after 'Uptown Funk' there could be some lessening of pre-order times for other songs??? (Nah).
Anyone wants to take stabs at how long the track will be at #1 , I say 5 to 6 weeks until the Comic Relief track drops in early March
Her best song for me after Figure 8 and Lights!!!
Getting a new version on Feb 09!
DREADING it. The original is so perfect..
Back Pink really surprised the audience by listening to the music. Attractive music.
