We haven't had a Semifinal this bad in a WHILE. Beyond tragic. I am only excited to hear Georgia... and that's literally it (apart from Cyprus for the eye candy of course!).

I'll be fine as long as Australia sweep aside the competition (as they should), and I get Albania / Slovenia in. Georgia and Romania are on my wishlist but I fear that especially the latter might be asking too much (still my 3rd fave in this semi, suck it haters - and yes I will concede that that says a few things about this semi's quality but I do really like it)

Otherwise many combinations are possible. Only certain NQs are San Marino and sadly Romania, neither have had much love all season and the rehearsals haven't been kind either. |

Theres no universe in which Austria DNQs. Its a solid bop and they have on point vocals. The rehersal footage looks fab and they went OFF at the pre-parties.
Like Pavita Im backing Cyprus because hes pretty. His costume designer was clearly hetero tho because theres far too much fabric |

Austria have given up any hope of televote success in the final by not bringing their video concept to the stage. Still hoping for a top 1o finish though.

This result is a terrible semi, I only care about Armenia and Austria both of which should easily be safe Id have thought. I like a few others, Slovenia, Iceland, Belgium and Lithuania are solid, Australia is ok I guess but meh, or much Im hugely excited about only Armenia and Austria from my top 10!

About to watch the dress rehearsal (my second and final live show). Very excited for the show and seeing the staging, less so most of the actual songs. Im not really bothered who qualifies as long as Austria and Belgium make it out alive, which of course they will.
Id like to see Slovenia, Lithuania and Iceland in too but I cant imagine the latter will be in the mix. |
