Sci-fi show which is a co-production between Netflix and Canadian streaming service Showcase, starring Eric McCormac, MacKenzie Porter, Nesta Cooper, Jared Abrahamson, Reilly Dolman and Patrick Gilmore. Summary from Wikipedia which explains it way better than I could:

QUOTE
In a post-apocalyptic future, thousands of special operatives are tasked with preventing the collapse of society. These operatives, known as "travelers", have their consciousnesses sent back in time and transferred into the body of present-day individuals who would otherwise be moments from death, to minimize unexpected impact on the timeline. The transfer requires the exact location of the target, made possible by twenty-first century smart phones and GPS. Prepared using social media and public records concerning their targets, each traveler must maintain the host's pre-existing life as cover for the rest of their lives, while carrying out missions in teams of five. These missions are dictated by the Director, an artificial intelligence in the future that monitors the timeline, aimed at saving the world from a series of catastrophic events. One method by which the Director communicates with travelers is via pre-pubescent children used as messengers; unlike adults, any child can safely be taken over for a few minutes and then released from control without risk of killing them. All travelers are required to behave according to certain protocols to protect the timeline. As the series progresses, however, travelers affect the present and future in unanticipated ways.

I watched season 1 in three days, really enjoyed it. Loved seeing both sides to the show - the missions and their daily lives, having to slot in and live their host's life with a partner, kid, etc. Very excited to get started on season 2!

This sounds quite interesting, but I feel like it might just be another one of those Netflix shows that isn't bad, but isn't necessarily good either and doesn't get given a second season. I'll have to have a look at some point though!

It already has a second season! tongue.gif

I finished season 2 last night actually and it was brilliant, I'm praying it's renewed for a third season but no news yet (the second season only came to Netflix on Boxing Day tbf). Philip is my favourite character (for both shallow and non-shallow reasons), he's much more likeable than I expected him to be a couple of episodes in. The main cast are all very likeable though I find, and a shoutout to Grace who is an absolute hoot after she becomes a traveler.

Season 3 came out in December and I've just finished it.... what a mindf*** LOL.

It was brilliant for most of it, really high quality drama and the characters continue to get more and more interesting. When Trevor was about to get overwritten, I really felt for him and I'm not sure I would have if that happened a season earlier. Philip continues to be the most interesting character for me, although his timeline confusion storyline never really went anywhere in the end, and I'm not sure it will after that conclusion. Also I never expected to end up shipping David and Marcy so much but when David died, I was absolutely heartbroken. I really hope that the reset timeline/whatever angle they go for next time will bring him back because this show would seriously be lacking without him.

The ending was....weird. I've only just watched it so I'm processing it but I don't know what to think. David and Marcy seemed to find happiness in the end which is brilliant but what about everyone else? Mac must have died, and there was nothing to stop Carly, Trevor or Philip's original deaths, so it's not exactly a happy ending if we don't get a fourth season, nor is it a satisfying conclusion either imo. I'm praying it's renewed again, it seems to have quite a big following online so hopefully that can keep it alive once more.
