Chart Commentary:

• It's a big clear out in the chart this week as Armin van Buuren's new album is out and unsurprisingly has a huge impact here. Out of the 28 tracks on his album, 18 chart this week, including five in the top ten and 17 in the top 40. The rest of the album has been starred out to make way for other new tracks in the bottom half of the chart. Last week he had his 29th top 40 hit and this week that number rises to 39. In all of chart history only Avicii and Calvin Harris have had more hits.
• The highest of these is current proper single 'It Could Be' which rises to a new peak of #3, whilst four of the brand new tracks enter in the top ten including collabs with Sam Martin and Haliene.
• The #1 single this week however is a new entry from previous unknown producer CloudNone, who was brought to my attention through the Laura Brehm feature on 'Changed'. Brehm previous appeared on three big TheFatRat tracks including the #1 'Mayday' and top five hits 'Monody' and 'The Calling'. Last week's #1 'Save You' drops a place to #2 after just one week at the top.
• Aside from the Armin album bomb we have three other new entries in the top 40. The highest of these comes from Galantis who get their 7th top 40 hit, and their first in over 2 years. 'Faith' enters at #22. It features Dolly Parton who gets her first hit (her best tracks pre-dating this chart by many years) and Mr. Probz who gets a third hit, following the megasmash 'Waves' (#1 for 9 weeks, 2014) and Armin collab 'Another You' (#8, 2015).
• Nora En Pure gets her 15th hit with 'Homebound' at #23. It leads three new songs from her this week, the other two falling outside the top 40.
• Selena Gomez gets her 9th hit and first of the year with 'Lose You To Love Me' at #24. It is her highest peaking non-collab single, with only 'It Ain't Me' (#5, 2017) and 'Wolves' (#14, 2017) having been bigger.
