Epic thing to hear on ones birthday.
YAAY!
New music late 2012 me thinks!
which hopefully means a tour in 2013.......gives me plenty of time to save Hope she brings butch walker along with her again......and goes back to arenas
I hope she goes back to her more rock side, as that's what she does best, the pop-rock
I want something like Try This - it's not my fave Pink album but I liked the general sound. Basically I want classic Pink and also a bit of R&B Pink wouldn't go amiss
Electro Rock and a Matt Cardle duet
No, she will duet with Matt and then Alanis Morissette.
I don't want another Try This...there were only a couple of songs i really liked from it, and nothing stood out compared to her more recent albums...I want another I'm Not Dead, with a little bit of Funhouse mixed into it.
I don't really want her to go back to the sound of any of her albums, I want something new.
LOL Grant. Matt has NO chance. We will be getting a P!nk and Kelly Clarkson duet before that and that ain't happening anytime soon! ( )
I really, really want her to go back to the Try This sound. I still love that album.
If I'd want this next album to sound like any of Pink's previous albums, I'd go for a mix of M!ssundaztood, Try This and I'm Not Dead.
I want the honesty of M!ssundaztood, the attitude and rock edge of TT and the various themes and rawness of IND. One of Pink's finest moments was 'Dear Mr. President'. I'd love for Pink to touch on politics again. As a whole, I wasn't a fan of Funhouse. I actually found it rather dull tbh. I know it's a break-up album but at some point through the record, I think Pink loses her ear for what makes a great album and makes it rather tedious instead. Songs like 'I Don't Believe You', 'It's All Your Fault' and 'Why Did I Ever Like You?' are great, as are many of the other album tracks, but as an album it just didn't work. I hope the next record isn't like that.
Do you think "bridge of light" will feature on the next album? I love this song and was wondering whether to buy the german import cd or wait.
Doubtful, its just for the movie. Just illegally download it
wiki rumour - the new album will be called 'lover's end'
That's not a brilliant title Still excited, I just hope it was some Wiki troll and not truth!
I dont think its true, but i thought i'd post it anyway
for a start, i dont think it sounds very 'Pink'. and to me, 'lovers end' doesnt sound like what you would call your album when you've got back with your husband (since your last studio album), and just had a baby.
You're right I predict a more happy tone to the album title.
New album confirmed by a representative of SONY for the second trimester of 2012!
http://pink-addiction.fr/news/813-news-album-2012
That's not long at all
2012 has so many brilliant combeacks, Madonna, Christina, Pink... it's endless!
Aerosmith's comeback will shit on all of those other comebacks, apart from Pink's of course
We're all gonna be skint this year
I already am!! I bought two VIP tickets for bowling for soup yesterday, I got a tweet from them for it though
"Your bank account WANTS you to have fun! RT @troublepink: my bank balance was fine until @bfsrocks tix went on sale. RIP bank account"
I have tickts for my soulamte (Matt Cardle)
I saw that on fb, I hope your heart is okay after the shock.
can't wait. 'funhouse' is now my second favourite album of all time, I loved every single track on there to bits and find it hard to rank them. if her new material was more in vain of that then that'd be fantastic.
Pink is apparently working with Dan Wilson, who co-wrote someone like you....
I think I will die of excitment if she does a ballad like Someone Like You! Imo Pink is one of the best at ballads
Pink is more than capable of doing something much better than SYL
I dont want Pink to do Adele-styled music
Well Dan has also done stuff with other artists, so maybe he and Pink will do something different
Someone Like You is better than Pink's entire discography except Who Knew
No.
Looking at his writing credits, largely they are ballads, I'm glad we're gettng at least one lovely Pink ballad!
The fact that she is working with Dan Wilson doesn't mean that she's recording a ballad, does it?
And it's pointless to start debating which of the two singers is better, as they are completely different artists and very talented in their own right.
From Pink's twitter.....the lady herself has confirmed she is working on a new album
Back to Basics;)
Okay the hair is the palest pink.... You know what that means!!!!!!!!!! NEW RECORD TIME!!!!!!!!!!!!
Let's get to making some tuuuunes. Looney tunes.
Whoop Whoop!
I know its never going to happen but i would really like to see do something like Cant Take Me Home. i love that album
Joe Dexter....you guys have probably never heard of him, but he is awesome, is working on new tracks for Pink
Didn't he work with Tim Armstrong (who previously worked with Pink on Try This)?
I think Pink should go all Gangsta Rap with this one she is such a badass anyway i don't think people would be to surprised
I want a rock album with duets with Butch Walker, Aerosmith and Bon Jovi....then the four of them can tour together, and make me a very happy lady
Electro-Rock ala Alanis Morissette's last album please. Some tracks on it (Straightjacket pour example) I can see Pink doing.
Who is Alanis Morissette?
really though who is she?what kind of music does she do?
Crap
Pop/rock, like Pink but quite a lot 'angrier' sometimes. She does downbeat and mellow acoustic-y stuff too. She's no Pink, but I quite like her!
I quite like her too, if you like Pink you should check her out on youtube. She also has one of the best lyrics of all time... "are you thinking of me while you f*ck her?"
She is the 4th greatest singer of all time
Well i just checked out some of her songs and Liam wasnt joking when she said she's angry .I dont really like her tbh and that ironic song is just stupid. It's not ironic at all just a bunch of coincidences.
AWWWWWWWWW Im sorry Regina but she really isnt very good
WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU!?
In other news.......
A new track (just title and info..) was added on BMI.com site.
"MAYBE YOU STILL LOVE ME"
written by P!nk & Max Martin
I hope its an acousti-ballad. I want more of them, like Love Song <3
If it's written and produced by Max Martin, it probably won't be
One can hope Franky
Love Song
New tracks added on BMI
HYPOCRITE
Written by P!nk & Butch Walker
and
GO TO HELL YOUR WAY, I'LL GO MINE
Written by P!nk, Butch Walker & Brandi Carlisle
OMG SHES WORKING WITH BUTCH AGAIN
AND SHE'S WORKING WITH BRANDY CARLILE She's great too!
Wicked song titles
BRANDI <3
Also lol at the song titles, sounds classic Pink Although obviously you can't tell from just titles.
Did Pink ever work with Dr Luke?
Yeah, he did some of I'm Not Dead (co-wrote and co-produced Who Knew, Cuz I Can and U + Ur Hand).
oh so he can produce some good songs.
He can produce quite a few good songs thank you very much!
Katy Perry - Part Of Me
Rihanna - Where Have You Been
Marina & The Diamonds - Primadonna
Britney Spears - Inside Out, Hold It Against Me and Til The World Ends
Ke$ha - Blow
Katy Perry - E.T.
Miranda Cosgrove - Kissin' U
Miley Cyrus - Party In The USA
and practically half the rest of his discog
oh well to be fair i didnt know he did keshas Blow.
What do you all think of pink as an actual singer alot of my friends think she cant sing at all.
She cant sing? the woman spins around in the air while singing live! I think its time for you to get new friends
I think she is the best female singer, past and present
Yes quite clearly she is
and as we are all posting in the P!nk forum, I think we are all convinced she is quite talented and is a good singer

Such good titles
Now, I want a duet with fellow new MILF Alanis Morissette, she is also releasing an album this year, June apparantly its fate!
THEN, get her son to date Willow
I still just love Go To Hell Your Way (I'll Go Mine) - I'm already expecting it to be epic from just hearing the title
I love all these song titles
The titles sound very good, even though we have NO CLUE what they will sound like
I DEMAND a duet with Pink and my QUEEN
HAHA
The new album is due to be released this autumn
I would prefer summer, as it's closer
It will be around the same time as Funhouse though, to think it's been coming up for 4 years SO EXCITED TO FINALLY HAVE A TIMEFRAME TO EXPECT ITTTTT
I can't believe its been 4 years I think it will mean we'll have a new single July/August, and album late Sept/early Oct? Maybe...possibly.....kinda like Funhouse
I have to say, I'm quite glad there was a long break. I needed a Pink break. Yesterday when I watched the Funhouse DVD I cried a little bit, well, got a few tears in my eyes because I missed her.
Also, the tours can be so stressful, everytime I go to a Pink show I got a horrible feeling in my belly, stress of trying to be at the front, not get pushed about etc, so I think it would be a good idea if she did fan club packages, especially if she does stadiums again, there should have to be some sort of divide in the crowd when there are so many people in a close space. When I've seen Bon Jovi before they have three sections on the floor in stadiums and it works so much better. Ok rant over
Alanis in summer and Pink in Autumn. All I need is a J-Lo album in Winter then I will have each of my fave singing MILF's releasing music in a different season.
Another album title (with Billy Mann)
BLACK GOLD!
Added a list of the possible new tracks to the first post in this thread
Healed would be a good album title.
Not sure about that title...
I want my Kelly Clarkson duet for this album please
Deborah Anderson will shoot her new album pics!
"Shooting P!NK in the Californian Dessert was incredible... about to start on her new Album Artwork."
Oooooh!
Fantastic news!! Letd hope that means the record is finished!
“Lunchtime at my album photoshoot. Deborah Anderson takes some purty pictures:)”
YAY
The single is called BLOW ME ONE LAST KISS
Album title announced on The Today Show!
Im not sure i like that
I really like the title There are so many layers to love, maybe there will be so many layers to this album? Either way I am very excited about this, so much for an early night last night, I think I fell asleep around 1am thanks to all the Pink hype
I prefer White Knuckle Ride
I dont really care about the name because this is the first time in 4 years we have a proper pink album!
Album announcement video...just posted!!
She's such a character. I quite like the title, simplistic but bold.
Word cannot describe how much i adore this woman!
10 days before my birthday. Great timing!
I can't believe they couldn't think of something better. Oh well, it's just a title
The album will be released as a standard and deluxe edition!
The deluxe edition will have 4 extra tracks
Deluxe edition FTW! <3
I will buy both!
I have 5 copies of IND and Funhouse, 4 of Missundaztood, 3 of Try This and 3 of CTMH
I have no copies of CTMH and one copy of the other albums
I really like the title, excited to hear more from this
What's with all the deluxe editions lately having extra tracks, I guess it's the new trend after the 'UK bonus tracks' and the 'bonus DVD' editions.
P!NK SET TO RELEASE 6TH STUDIO ALBUM, THE TRUTH ABOUT LOVE, SEPTEMBER 18TH
FIRST SINGLE “BLOW ME (ONE LAST KISS)” IS AVAILABLE NOW AT ALL DIGITAL SERVICE PROVIDERS
(New York, New York) – Worldwide superstar P!nk announces her highly anticipated 6th studio album, The Truth About Love, to be released on September 18th. The album will be available as both a standard and deluxe version. The deluxe edition will be sold exclusively at Target, and will offer fans four additional studio tracks. P!nk has teamed up with producer Greg Kurstin (Lily Allen, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Foster The People & The Shins) for the very first time on this release along with long time collaborators Max Martin and Shellback, Billy Mann and Butch Walker. She has also worked with songwriter/producer Dan Wilson (Adele’s Someone Like You). The album is P!nk’s unique take on the different shades of love – the dark, the light, the happy and the sad. The first single, “Blow Me (One Last Kiss)” has exploded worldwide since it impacted radio last week and is available for sale at all digital service providers. The single was co-written by P!nk along with producer Greg Kurstin. Having taken time out of the limelight to start a family, the tracks infectious melody and kick-*** lyrics have let the world know that P!nk is back and at her absolute best! P!nk announced earlier this morning on NBC’s The Today Show that she will be performing at the iHeart Radio Festival on September 22nd in Las Vegas. She will also be returning to The Today Show performing on The Plaza on release day, September 18th. Since her debut in 2000, P!nk (Alecia Moore) has released 6 albums (Can’t Take Me Home, M!ssundaztood, Try This, I’m Not Dead, Funhouse, Greatest Hits So Far!!!), sold over 30 million albums, 65 million singles (nearly 20 million digital tracks), over 1 million DVD’s worldwide and has had 11 singles in the top 10 on the Billboard Hot 100 Chart. In addition, 15 of P!nk’s singles have reached #1 in at least 1 or more countries. She is the recipient of 3 Grammy Awards, 2 Billboard Music Awards, 5 MTV Video Music Awards, 2 MTV Europe Awards, 2 People’s Choice Awards, and many more. P!nk’s last studio album Funhouse debuted at #2 on the Billboard Top 200 chart and #1 in the UK, Australia, Netherlands, New Zealand and Switzerland. The album produced the smash single “So What”, which marked P!nk’s 2nd #1 single on the Billboard Hot 100 (after “Lady Marmalade”). Her latest album, Greatest Hits So Far… debuted in the Top 10 in over 13 countries and spawned the hit singles, “F**ckin Perfect” which reach # 2 on the Billboard Hot 100 and “Raise Your Glass” which marked P!nk’s 3rd #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 Chart. “Blow Me (One Last Kiss)”: http://www.pinkspage.com/us/news/wa...t-kiss%E2%80%9D Official Website: http://www.pinkspage.com/us/home Facebook Page: https://www.facebook.com/pink Twitter: http://twitter.com/#!/Pink/
Anyone else filled with pride when reading the article above? It's astonishing what P!nk has achieved 12 years now, while never losing herself or her credibility as an artist. P!nk is the real superstar because she's the real deal and not Britney, Rihanna or Katy Perry.
If the bonus tracks are exclusive to Target in the US, I'd expect that they'll just appear on the standard edition in the UK. The title's not awful, but it's not exactly eye-catching or original.

How Come You’re Not Here
Just Give Me A Reason
The Great Escape

"Just Give Me A Reason"
"The Great Escape"
"The Truth About Love"
"Try"
Producers:
Greg Kurstin

She also confirmed there would be a few surprise collaborations
Willow plays bells on 'How Come You're Not Here,' and she plays bass on a song called 'Timebomb.'
"There was a basket of sh--, and she came over and pulled out the bells and started banging on them, and I was like, 'Record it!' And then she went up to the bass guitar on 'Timebomb' and started plucking away. She's actually pretty good! She's better on bass than I am! She plays piano, she bangs sh--, she's either going to be violent or a percussionist ... or a violent percussionist."
Timebomb? A cover of the SMASH Kylie hit?
Pink has confirmed that one of the 'surprise collaborations' is with Lily Allen! Very interested to hear what that will sound like
Pink has said there is 'no dance music' on the album, I just read an article on DS:
"Honestly, when there's something that's so popular like that, that does my head in, I know better what I don't want than what I do want," Pink told 97.1 AMP's Carson Daly.
"And when there's something like that happening, I'm like, 'Cool, not that!' I've done a whole career of, 'Okay, not that! I don't know what, but not that!'"
The star also revealed that she recorded over 40 songs for her new album The Truth About Love, but will only include 13 on the final tracklisting.
"I like to put 13 songs on my record. It's my lucky number. I had my first kiss on Friday the 13th in a graveyard," she said.
I respect her for not jumping on the "let's whack in a bit of dubstep here" bandwagon.
Thats good about no dance music, but whats wrong with the Saturdays?
Nothing

Do you think it well sound like Robyns'Bum Like You'?
The Truth About Love will also be released on vinyl!!!

Ooh I love a good 19 track album, and loving all the titles.
Need...album...now! also is it sL*t like you or is it sH*t like you i wonder? i also wonder if this will be the song with lily allen.

If people would do the simple task of READING through this thread and others before posting information that is either false or already posted, it'd be appreciated.
I really can't wait to hear 'Chaos & Piss" based on the title alone!
Looking forward to this album, I know you can't go by titles but there are some really intriguing ones there.
Twitter rumour, Pink has done a song with gotye on this album *pretends to know who that is*
Do you listen to ANY music besides Pink? You'd have to be living under a ROCK to not have heard of Gotye this year...
As if she needs anymore Australian success
Next single is Try, confirmed by Andrew Macpherson who designs all her artwork, he's put this up this up on his website:
Love it, more than makes up for the album artwork which is a bit disappointing imo,
I LIKE IT *edit* Ignore the bit I originally posted in here, I was looking at another photo *
Still, supa dupa hott And its better than the Blow Me cover, which I also liked, but thought it could've been better (had more Pink in it ). I love the album cover too
How...unf <3
Why couldn't that have been the album art?
Pink wrote "Beam Me Up" with Butch Walker and describes it as "my acoustic song that I do on every record,"
The 'Try' single cover reminds me of the 'Try This' era artwork.
It has serious shades of Kylie's X too.
I was thinking the same thing, it reminds me alot of the X cover.
TTAL 2CD Tracklist... (On play.com)
Disc 1
1.Are We All We Are (Explicit Version)
2.Blow Me (One Last Kiss) (Explicit Version)
3.Try
4.Just Give Me A Reason
5.True Love (Explicit Version)
6.How Come You're Not Here
7.$l*t Like You (Explicit Version)
8.The Truth About Love (Explicit Version)
9.Beam Me Up
10.Walk of Shame (Explicit Version)

12.Where Did The Beat Go?
13.The Great Escape
Disc 2
1.My Signature Move
2.Is This Thing On?
3. Run
4.Good Old Days
That's annoying, 17 songs would easily fit on one disc unless they're long which they won't be...
At least it narrows down the possibilities for the Lily duet, one of the explicit ones
So are Chaos and Piss and Timebomb exclusive to itunes then?
The 'Try' artwork could have been her best album cover yet. Shame.
Another duet revealed! Here comes the weekend ft. Eminem
Now THAT I can get down with.
Well if there's one way to get my friends to listen to Pink, it's that
Also revealed today, Pink has done a song with the lead singer from Fun
Ooh I love them, she has some goooood people on this album If you don't know them I think you might like them, you must have heard We Are Young:
Their song Some Nights is very Queen as well, I love that one:
He's getting around a bit though, he's on Carly Rae Jepsen's new album which comes out the same week as Pink's I think
He is so hot ;_;
Oooh I like him, thanks for posting the videos, I had never heard of 'Fun' until 10 minutes ago
And yes I have heard We Are Young, didnt know who sang it though, I think I might like it a bit more now
PS. Fun will feature on Just Give Me a Reason
So is that all the collabs? Lily Allen, Eminem and Fun.?
As far as I know, I thought there were more, but I guess thats enough for 'Pinks' album otherwise it may as well be a 'featured' album
None of my requests were taken though no Bon Jovi, no Aerosmith/Steven Tyler, no Tommy Lee at least I hope Butch Walker's gorgeous voice may be in there somewhere as he's worked on the album
No Jeremy Renner ;_; maybe he can be in another one of her videos
Kylie might be a shock collab on Timebomb though
According to this album, the Eminem feature will be an "alternative club banger".
I am loving the sound of that
Pink does alternative club banger? GOD GIVE ME THIS ALBUM NOW!
Random tidbit from HDD:
Jesus what a week to release So much competition, I hope Pink can beat G.O.O.D. Music... Truth be told No Doubt are my faves of them but Pink has the best chance I think!
(for those who don't know it's a new Kanye project so poses a big threat!)
I'd be hoping for a smidgen more than 200k truth be told... mind you Funhouse 'only' opened with 180k so...
I'm unbelievably excited for this album. I'm not even gonna have it when it comes out because I went and asked for it as a birthday present so I'll need to wait 11 days. It'll kill me. Also asked for the new Killers album. Should be a good birthday.
From HDD:
SEPTEMBER SONGS, 9/18: We’ve been focusing on next month’s double-dip Super Tuesday in this space, and we’re not about to stop now—not with the promise of an escape from the seemingly endless summer doldrums. Here and immediately below are the latest first-week sales estimates for the latest releases from acts who have meant something commercially in the past. And if some of these numbers strike you as optimistic, bear in mind that this is an inexact science.
Nelly Furtado (Geffen) 25k
G.O.O.D. Music Compilation (Def Jam/IDJ) 200k
Carly Rae Jepsen (Schoolboy/Interscope) 100k
Michael Jackson, Bad – 25th Anniversary Edition (Legacy) 150k
The Killers (Island/ID J) 125k
P!nk (RCA) 200k
Wiz Khalifa (Atlantic) 250k
It'd be nice for P!nk to actually get a number 1 album in the US but I feel like that good music album will get it i'm surprised they think Carly will only do 100k that seems a little low given how big Call Me Maybe was.
That seems decent enough. Poor Nelly Furtado though, although she is now a bit of a joke.
I've hidden these incase people want it to be a surprise More song info!!
Try:
Pat Benatar-esque anthem; catchy.
Beam Me Up:
The album's acoustic song she has on each album; like The One That Got Away, Crystal Ball.
Here Comes The Weekend (Feat. Eminem):
An alternative club banger.
Where Did The Beat Go?:
Blazing hot fire! (according to Billy Mann)
How Come You're Not Here:
Going to make people think P!nk is having marital problems again.
"I heard she's cute, but she stores nuts like a squirrel."
The Truth About Love:
Sad song about heartbreak
One of the most beautiful songs she has ever written
True Love (Feat. Lily Allen):
"You're an ******* - But i love you."
"I hate you so much - i think it must be True Love"
Laid back beat kinda like Lily Allen's 'Smile'
Just Give Me A Reason (Feat. Nate Ruess of fun.):
Emotional Duet
Just Give Me A Reason" is Edge's song of the year candidate for next year. "It's going to play at every format. It's going to be hopefully be used in a lot of TV," he says. "It's just one of those songs people will relate to on a relationship level."
The Great Escape:
Emotional Ballad produced by Dan Wilson of 'Someone Like You'
addresses the use of antidepressants
I know the description of Here Comes the Weekend is quite short but it sounds AMAZING. Try sounds great, too!
Inside the album
http://www.behance.net/gallery/Pink-The-Truth-About-Love-iTunes-LP/5011801
Lots of spoilers on this link I don't know why, but I gotta feeling it will leak on Friday
http://www.popjustice.com/briefing/pink-the-truth-about-love-album-review-thing/100016/
I can't see clearly, does it really say 'featuring lily rose cooper' on the back? Oh God why.
Yep it does
Just Give Me A Reason sounds amazing *.*
I heard the new album last night!!!!!!
OMG I dreamed that I heard the new album last night and that I went to the itunes festival, and THEN me and Pink partied in a hotel allll night, it was amazing unfortunatly, I dont remember any of the new songs, but I remember that it sounded fan-f***in'-tastic
I nearly died of excitement, thought this had leaked but the torrent was a fake crappy thing that was password encrypted and the link to the password was one of those survey sites that never unlock so you couldn't get the password, but even you did I very much doubt that the files would actually be in it.
I searched for leaks when Funhouse was about to arrived, downloaded something from a dodgy website and ended up with a virus. This time I'm waiting until I hear of a leak on Twitter instead of looking for it myself
I will just wait for the actual album to be released
$l*t LIKE YOU CLIP
http://soundcloud.com/jeff1317-1/$l*t-like-you-45sec
Amaze. I love how she can manage to do party anthems but not be horrifically generic, even with the disappointment of Blow Me this album is sounding VERY strong, Try is amazing especially.
I missed it
You can hear the clip http://ohnotheydidnt.livejournal.com/71786921.html.
Doesn't do it for me at all.
Lyric videos coming soon
Its SO exciting that we are going to hear the new album TOMORROW
Snippets have been released for the album. Not to sure at the moment about the album but think I need to hear more than 30 seconds.
You can hear the snippets http://soundcloud.com/jeff1317-1/ttal30sec. Beam Me Up, The Truth About Love, Here Comes The Weekend, and True Love sound the best!
Beam Me Up is about her miscarriage
It all sounds excellent <3
Oh dear. I think it largely sounds quite subpar. Hopefully a case of misleading clips.
Clips sound good but I cant decide on which is favourite etc until i've heard the full songs
Won't be long now
A German magazine reviewed the album apparently and gave it 98/100
Those bloody Germans, why not 100/100?
Where are the lyric videos they promised?
They are going to be released from today until Thursday apparently, so like a few songs a day. Try has leaked HQ but I can't post a link from my phone
Lyric videos... today we just get Try but....
tomorrow:

Where Did The Beat Go?
The Great Escape
WOW loving this one, this album is going to be amazing, I need to hear it all RIGHT NOW
It reminds me of the music from Fun.'s album their voices go so well together <3 I hope they work together again.
What an amazing song, I want a piano-only version, it would be perfect!
Wow this album is amazing!!! Suddenly being awake at this time of day isn't so bad!
Trust it to leak the one day I wake up too late About to leave for school now, wish I hadn't come on to check if it leaked now because it will annoy me not hearing it all day! I could have downloaded and listened to some on the way to school
I don't think the full album has leaked?
It has.
I can only find 5 tracks.
Loving Lily Allen (or 'Rose Cooper') on 'True Love', it's been way too long since we've heard something from her! She could've had a longer part though...
To the best of my knowledge, the standard has leaked but is missing Walk of Shame? At work though so can't download #'til later. The wait is killing me!
wooHOO the full iTunes Deluxe has been posted on the net.
wohoo! Don't double post please.
I'm listening to the album now. I've not got any of her other albums so I can't compare to them but I'm enjoying it a lot so far. On How Come You're Not Here? right now. Favourites so far are the two singles and the Lily Allen Rose Cooper () duet.
'True Love' is a guaranteed hit in the UK and AUS but in order to succeed in the US it needs to be released sooner, rather than be like the 5th or 6th single. But I'm afraid they'll pick 'Just Give Me a Reason' next (which is also fantastic and fun. are obviously more popular in the US) and they'll probably not want to release a 2nd collaboration in a row, so True Love will end up 5th.
Downloaded this this morning. It's quite different in that there's more Missundaztood and Try This influences. I can see why people wouldn't like it, but I'm happy so far!
EDIT: Where Did the Beat Go? is amaaaaazing! <3
Can anyone send me a link for the bonus tracks? Pretty please.
My Top 5 so far.
1. 'Slut Like You'
2. 'Are We All We Are'
3. 'Where Did The Beat Go?'
4. 'Try'
5. 'Walk of Shame'
Amazing album
I'm still waiting til my birthday to hear this. 13 more days.
So where do we think this will debut? I think she is a dead cert for top 5. Don't know if Carly Rae Jepson will be much of an album seller, but I thought that about
Rita Ora. The Killers are usually big album sellers, so I think maybe....#4
I'm OBSESSED with Is This Thing On?
Top 5
01 Is This Thing On?
02 Try
03 Blow Me (One Last Kiss)
04 Here Comes The Weekend
05 Where Did The Beat Go? / Run
This should easily be #2 I'd imagine, behind The Killers (although I'd hope she can beat them!). Carly Rae won't sell too much but should get about #5 due to sales not being that high. Battle Born and The Truth About Love should be a kick up the ass for album sales thoguh!
Loving both Nate & Lily duets. Although I'm slightly preferring Just give me a reason but True love isn't far off.
REALLY getting into this now. For me it's the album Try This should've been. There are a couple of duds but that happens with almost every Pink album for me. Where Did The Beat Go is definitely my favourite. <3
More and more songs clicking. MASSIVELY growing on me right now.
Good Old Days <3
Album is growing on me as well, still don't like How Come You're Not Here or Truth About Love, but I am starting love Walk of Shame and Where Did The Beat Go? I still think JGMAR and True Love should be the 3rd and 4th singles, maybe Walk of Shame would make a good single also.
Listening now up to track 8 and only a couple of stand outs so far...
This album's growing on me. Still not "great by P!nk's standards" but it's still good enough (I'd buy it if it was in the 2 for £10 or £15 offers or something)
4 CLEAR standouts for me though.
01. 'The Great Escape'
02. 'Is This Thing On?'
03. 'Just Give Me A Reason'
04. 'Run'
But the rest is good. It's growing, anyway!
Today is the big tour announcement day!! So head on over to the Pink on the Road section of the forum to find out all the latest news on Pink's The Truth About Love tour!!
My copy came
I hate cardboard cases though although the 3 best albums of the year (this, Alanis and The Killers) all had them...
Album is #1 on itunes in the US!!!
Blow Me is #13, 64, and 85
Try is #25
Just Give Me A Reason is #65
Timebomb is #134
All We All We Are is #163
True Love is #181
Walk of Shame is #200
Are We All We Are grates on me for some reason Try and Run are probably my favourites so far
I bought the album this afternoon. I've given it a spin and not a lot stands out on first listen, but I have no doubt I'll grow. I do have to say that 'Try' is a little bit special though! It's by far my favourite thing so far and I love Blow Me (One Last Kiss) - I'd go as far as saying it is one of my favourite songs of the year and it's a really good cover! I also like Are We All We Are and the collaboration with Nate Ruess too on first listen!

Hmm, this is nowhere near the standard of Funhouse or I'm Not Dead, but its still a strong album. The uptempos are getting more love from me than
the ballads. $l*t Like You being my fave.
The album is continuing to grow on me, which im happy about!
Also Try is #8 on Itunes US
I bought the deluxe edition. The four tracks on CD2 are great. First CD is very mixed. Some good tracks, some not so good.
#1 in the US so far! http://pinkfans.tumblr.com/post/31878892452/billboard-charts-p-nk-vs-kanye-west-for-1-on
Also, US iTunes update:
Try #7
Blow Me #11 + #120
Just Give Me a Reason #45
(Nobody Knows #80 why is that?)
Timebomb #130
True Love #135
Are We All We Are #180
Walk of Shame #202
The Great Escape #214
Beam Me Up #234
Love Just Give Me A Reason, Is This Thing On & Run , hopefully JGMAR gets a single release over here.
It's smashing on US iTunes. I can't see it not being a single at some point (unless there are label issues etc...).
#2 in the UK with 79k sold - impressive Wished she could have got #1 but in the dire sales climate, those are FANTASTIC sales!
Absolutely thrilled about The Killers & P!nk!
listened to this album twice so far - on first listen it seemed alright, but only a couple of tracks stood out to me. although on second listen a lot of them began to grow. it was never going to be as brilliant as 'funhouse', although it's still a pretty good album.
favourites so far are 'just give me a reason', 'true love', 'walk of shame', 'how come you're not here' and most of all 'try', so happy that's the next single. it's beautiful.
I've had the album stuck on repeat since the first listen, with a few Butch Walker songs thrown in the middle too
My mum called me up today and asked if I will buy her the album for Christmas so she can learn the words in time for tour. I think my mum officially rocks now
Yeah she went last tour and loved it only bad thing about taking my mum to a show is I have to get seats, she can't do the standing thing lol. So I might treat her to VIP seats cuz I love her lots
I think this is my least favourite P!nk album after her debut I just think the formula is a bit tired now, and all of the songs kind of merge in to one (bar. try, blow me and just give me a reason), there isn't anything insanely awful on there, but i don't think there are any career defining, truly out of this world songs either.

Incredible sales
Please tell me this means she'll be #1 on the BB200!!! either way wow great sales! the original estimate was only 200k then 225k i think, 280k is wonderful, i'm so happy even 12 years on she continues to become more and more successful, usually its the opposite, truly happy for her!
Oh wow, they're brilliant sales - and even better she's coming out on top in such a competitive week!
How many number 1 albums has Pink achieved in the states?
So proud & happy for her!!!
UK Singles
163. [NE] Try
172. [NE] Just Give Me a Reason (feat. Nate Reuss)
The long wait is over! It's my birthday and I've finally listened!
Not as instant as I'd hoped, certainly not up with the last 2. Still a decent album. Will give it plenty more listens this weekend. Now on to the Killers.
I have found myself getting a bit bored of this now something seems to be missing with this album. Its all a bit....slutty. The uptempo tracks seem to be all about
the same thing, sex and sex.
what is wrong with sex and sex?
unless it involves Jeremy Renner and an apricot yougurt....everything
Nothing really, but I do miss the P!nk who would tear into people in her songs rather than sing about getting stuffed on a Friday night and hobbling home the next day
Yeah, bored of this already
Well I'd much rather she "tried too hard" and made songs that do not revolve solely around sex and actually got better with every listen.
I like the album, but its a rather big fall in quality from her previous two albums.
Thankfully it's only a misunderstanding that '$l*t Like You' was the next single! 'Just Give Me A Reason' will be HUGE if it's released. It'd do similar to 'Broken Strings' I reckon.
Just Give Me A Reason is my favourite, but to be honest I'm quite disappointed with the album as a whole. At first I really liked it but once the novelty wore off I realised there's only 3 I really like, and about 5 I really don't like that much. It's not bad, but I thought it would be much better.
The good news: Nominated for Best Pop Album at the 2013 Grammy Awards!!!
The bad news: She's up against Kelly Clarkson, Florence, Fun & Maroon 5
It's a battle between fun. and Florence. fun. are nominated in 4 of the big categories so I can't see them not winning. To me this seems the easiest category for them to win. (I just think insiders/the panel are likely to go for them than someone like Kelly or P!nk.)
Pink i still believe will win this.
Back in the top 10 this week Try down to 14.
I listened to her Live Lounge session a couple of days ago - her version of Alicia Key's Girl On Fire is just *.* Suits her voice so much! Try was gorgeous too!
I posted these videos in the promo thread, amazing performances, Pink was on fire
P!nk has been in the top 10 album chats for a few week and has made it to the xmas top 10 albums.
the truth about love total sales- 414,250
Great news. Thought she would be in decline. Try really has helped. What was the gh figure this time of yr? Or funhouse figure?
Well I never thought she'd shift around 70K this week i am most satisfied.
Her sales were impressive for christmas and has helped to boost her overall sales nicely, i honestly cant see this album doing anything less than double platinum now.
With JGMAR certain to smash (too confident?), if the album can manage 500k sales by the time it's released, it can easily get to 700k.
I think 'Here Comes the Weekend' should be the fourth single. Now that she put out a ballad to shift album sales it's time for a real fun song + it features Eminem and he will surely pull in some sales too. (maybe I'm biased 'cause it's by far my favorite from the album).
I'd quite like a song like Walk of Shame to be the fourth single. $l*t Like You would also be great but it'd be BUTCHERED for the radio.
True Love or Walk of Shame for singles THANKS FOR UNANIMOUSLY AGREEING.
How Come You're Not Here or Slut Like You tbh. She needs something more upbeat and not a collab.
How come you're not here next please!!!
It is my fave song from the album from the first listen, and when discussing the album with my mum (who got it for Christmas ) she told me its her favourite song too
Laur's mama is the boss, its been decided
Shuffling through this today, Where Did The Beat Go? has suddenly clicked
If she releases 'How Come You're Not Here' next, then she will have got the singles 100% from this album (which given it's not exactly her best work, is quite a feat).
I've just read that this hasn't even topped half a million...that's QUITE a drop. I give her one more album, seems a bit like she's over to me.
I'm sorry, but you are deluded if you think that P!nk is going to have one more album after this one. She's having one of her strongest eras as a recording artist at the moment.
Anyway, to lighten things up a bit, I was playing around with a Truth About Love design pack someone made, and I came up with this ~
I LIKEY.
We had an art thread somewhere here. I oughta dig it up, incase anyone has more amazing works
I LOVE seeing fanart!!
Yes like Regina says, if anyone has any Pink fan art please post it in the thread he's just bummed...i mean bumped
Oh and if anyone would like to make me any Pink History artwork, banners, photo blends etc... feel free... ANY Pink photo, any text (quote/song lyric etc) just make sure it has 'P!nk History' on it somewhere, and you will be my new best friend
Album back to #10 from #21 JGAR doing wonders for this era.
Shocked she is at #10. It always goes up to 10 lol. Good for her
I knew JGMAR would do wonders. Now release True Love and it's a certain million seller
What is going on with the single releases?
Walk of Shame and $l*t Like You would have been surefire hits!
Maybe she is trying to show a different side of herself.
Album up to #7 this week.
907,500 UK sales now.
56th biggest album so far of the decade (2010-19).
Still my favourite album of hers.
The Greatest Hits is on higher sales that’s still to come on the list it’s often in the top 100.
I agree though it’s flown! I was like 13 when Funhouse was released and I went to the tour of that now. It’s now ten year this year since I last seen her. That’s god I have tickets to her summer tour this year!
I’ve just got this on vinyl and I’m loving it all over again. It’s not even in my top 3 Pink albums but I absolutely love it!
I always forget how good Just Give Me A Reason is.
I listened to this in full again today and it’s still my favourite album of hers.
I just love it and it’s full of great singles, some of her best ballads and some of her best care free fun tracks too. A real mix.
Can’t believe it’s 7 this year. I still remember the exact day it came out
8 years ago today The Truth About Love album was released
It still feels very 'new' to me, even though it came out in 2012
I remember having to wait 11 agonising days for it because I’d asked for it for my birthday
Pink was massive with this era. I loved all of the singles but I do think it’s one of her weaker albums-but that says a lot about how great her other albums are!
Wow 8 years
I think this is still my favourite from her as well.
