Brilliant. Fantastic.
Go-Go sounds a more dicsco-y retro version of Boyfriend  The album itself Is alot more electro/80's sounding than i ever imagined it to be though Heres my rating of the album 1 - Fantastic Six - 9/10 2 - Fascination - 11/10 3 - 10,000 Nights - 10/10 4 - Boyfriend - 10/10 5 - What Is Happening - 8/10 6 - Go-Go - 9/10 7 - Touch Me Touching You - 9/10 8 - Rubber Boots - 8/10 9 - Public Image - 8/10 10 - Nothing But My Baby - 8/10 A very well polished pop/electro album but it only lasts for just over half an hour some tracks (Especially towards the middle) reminded me of The Mighty Boosh sorta I was expecting all the tracks to be like 'Fascination' & '10,000 Nights' but i got surprised. (Pleasently, (sp??))

my rating of the album after 2 listens...
1 - Fantastic Six - 9/10 2 - Fascination - 10/10 3 - 10,000 Nights - 10/10 4 - Boyfriend - 10/10 5 - What Is Happening - 10/10 6 - Go-Go - 9/10 7 - Touch Me Touching You - 9/10 8 - Rubber Boots - 8/10 9 - Public Image - 9/10 10 - Nothing But My Baby - 7/10 some of the tracks have been rejigged from the Danish version of the album. I heard major differences in Boyfriend, What Is Happening, Rubber Boots and Nothing But My Baby. Go-Go, Touch Me Touching You and Public Image I recall seeing performed live so I'm familiar with all 10 of these songs already  It is definitely 2008's best album but there are a couple of issues stopping it from being perfect:1) a couple of the tracks sound overproduced and the original Danish versions would have been better left on there, especially Rubber Boots 2) Ocean Blue, Into The Jungle and The Hours would have made it into a perfect 12 track album if Nothing But My Baby was left off...I don't know why those three tracks were left off, its not as if the album has an excessive running time, like Johnjo says, only just over half an hour, blink and you've missed it this would be my perfect tracklisting - in fact I'll probably burn a copy of this tracklist at some point: 1. Fascination 2. 10,000 Nights (Album version) 3. Boyfriend (Original version) 4. What Is Happening (UK version) 5. Fantastic Six 6. Touch Me Touching You 7. Public Image 8. Go-Go 9. Rubber Boots (Original version) 10. Into The Jungle 11. The Hours 12. Ocean Blue that tracklisting would make it one of the best albums ever made

The original mix of Boyfriend is much much better than the new edit, not sure why they've had to change it.

perhaps they were going for a more disco sound for the UK, which is why they changed it...all of the new tracks are quite Chic-like, whereas the rest of the album is nothing like that

This is one of the greatest pop albums of all time imo. I'd rate overall the whole album as a 10/10.
I do wish they'd have another crack at it though. |
