AH Gold Chart All Time Top 1000
A few years ago, I posted the Top 900, which was extended to a Top 940 a year later. It's taken a while, but finally it's time to present the AH Gold Chart All Time Top 1000. How does it work I hear no one ask? Well this thread is based purely on the AH Gold Chart which began in 1994. The '90s saw loads of golden oldies perform extremely well and you'll notice I was extremely over-generous with "sales" even then. If truth be told though, this Top 1000 would bear little resemblance to my actual Top 1000 favourite all time songs if I were ever to do such a list. Some entries here are truly baffling, whilst there are some others I can barely recall these days. Nevertheless, there are no songs here I hate, even if a fair few cheesy novelties will raise a few eyebrows. Overall though, this proves I have a very eclectic taste in music at least. From pop to rock, punk to garage, disco to indie, country to rap, a surprising amount of BJSC entries...all are represented here. Plus LOTS of Madonna songs. (Spoiler: She has the most entries here). To get this done by the 25th November, 40 songs will be posted every day. No write-ups (as I can't be arsed) but feel free to praise or mock what's about to appear. Before we start, an interesting (depending on your definition of the word 'interesting') geeky stat. Five tracks were all within 50 "sales" of sneaking into the Top 1000. Two '80s classics made it in at numbers 999 and 1000. The three outside are a BJSC entry from this year, Faouzia's Tears Of Gold at 1001 and Prefab Sprout's gorgeous When Love Breaks Down at 1003.  That bottom 40 is quite the batch, from the sublime (Little Lies) to Spitting Image  well, you were a kiddie about then  The Journey Continues would make a fab BJSC entry, one I've considered - and also in my top 900, along with Everywhere, New Beginning, Temptation, I Love To Love, with some also-greats listed like Eve Of The War, The Message, Antmusic, Dannii, Atomic Kitten, so much in common we love.And there's the ones I don't get just to mix it up a bit (Sam Fox, Whigfield, Eternal, Chicken Song)

 ^yes John! Some great stuff here from Fleetwood Mac. I'd actually say those are my favourites by them in fact. Although I have only heard 5 tracks of theirs lol. Among those still waiting for an opportunity to get some more chart points to qualify are some huge faves like Superstar (Carpenters version), Queen Of Clubs, American Generation (yes, it's official, you like it even more than I do! ) and Nothing has Been Proved, Love's Theme..... Around half of these are very much in my list-to-come though, so a fair bit of cross-over
