Unpopular opinion but I actually quite like a fair amount of Ronans songs. Sure his voice isn't that great but the songs are enjoyable.

I'm sure I've heard Pick Of The Pops cover a 2000s-era chart back in 2012 or so when Tony Blackburn hosted. I wanna say it was a 2001 chart and Emma Bunton - What Took You So Long was in it. I haven't tuned into POTP for the past several years but would imagine they've done it a few more times between then and now!

Doing a bit of digging, this was not the first 2000 show either as they had one 5th July 2018 (a few weeks prior to the one we’ve just had) with Kylie at #1.
Subsequently a September edition in 2018 aired which saw Modjo at the top spot. In addition: 2002 was aired in Feb 2018 with Enrique’s Hero at #1 2003 in March 2018 with Gareth Gates’ Spirit in the Sky 2004 in November 2017 with Girls Aloud’s I’ll Stand By You 2005 in August 2018 with James Blunt’s You’re Beautiful 2006 in October 2017 with My Chemical Romance’s Welcome To The Black Parade |
