No rest for the wicked as Eurovision week continues to fly by (</3) and we're already less than 24 hours away from the second semi final. Tuesday night gave us acts already cemented as Eurovision classics in Australia and Iceland. Plus, San Marino will be na na na-ing on Saturday night as well! Valentina & Serhat duet confirmed for 2020.
The remaining 18 semi finalists take to the stage tomorrow night, and viewers in Germany, Italy and the UK will be able to have their say on who the last 10 qualifiers of not only 2019, but also the decade, should be. And with a majority of the favourites batting tonight, and with only 3 spots left in the lucrative second half on Saturday, it's all to play for!

I think the prediction in large is correct but i think Norway will make it ahead of Austria which i would prefer to also happen.

How I think it'll go

If San Marino can get through despite being (probably) jury poison then I'm feeling more confident that Norway can make it through on teh fanz votes. I'd say it's any four of Armenia, Romania, Denmark, Austria, Albania, Lithuania, Norway and North Macedonia for the 7th to 10th qualifying spots.

I am surprised by how bad Ireland is doing in the various rates here on the site. The song is far from amazing but i think it deserves to scrape a Top 10 tonight but dont think it will.
I am starting to fear Switzerland wont live up to the earlier hype. They will qualify tonight but i think they may miss Top 5 in the final.

01 Armenia: It comes across a lot stronger on studio form than it does live to me, it's all a bit dark and stops and starts without proper going until the end. It doesn't feel like a vote grabber to me and while I still like the song, there is a sense of "average" about it and Armenia can do better. 6.5/10

02 Ireland: That just felt SO weak. Her vocals were paper thin, the song never really goes anywhere and once again, nice enough in studio form but it doesn't translate even a little live. Next to nothing happens staging wise and she is nowhere near strong enough of a performer to push anything to another level. Cute-ish song though to push it to a 5. 5/10

04 Switzerland: DIRTY DANCING! I was so impressed with his vocals because I feared the worst but I'm THRILLED. The song is my favourite of the year but I can't push it to a 10 because there were definitely times I wish things were a bit tighter with everyone being together dancing and some of the shots, largely because I kind of *am* comparing it to Fuego as a performance. But, it's comfortably my favourite song and they brought the party and slickness in bucketloads 9.5/10

07 Denmark: I have a weird soft spot for that song for some reason that it has no right to make me feel. I do like the staging for it though and I've got a strong feeling about this making it. And I wouldn't be mad, probably my favourite bar Switzerland so far. Not that it's hard but still. 7/10

08 Sweden: Awww, a cutie. The staging felt a bit dark at times for me when it should've felt really uplifting, like the last chorus, I was expecting a light explosion which didn't really come. But that's my only fault - the song is undeniably strong, I love the reveal of the Mama's and yet again, slick is the word. I'm gonna be honest though... I didn't get the winner vibes I expected to get and I low key expect it to fall beneath Australia tonight. 8/10

Yeah I agree with not getting the winner vibes I somewhat expected from Too Late For Love, it's a great song performed well but there's not quite enough when you've got contenders like Arcade and Zero Gravity.

10 Croatia: I really feel they should've made this more novelty because I think this is taking itself more seriously than it should do. I kinda smell a surprise qualifier in it though because people WILL remember the wings. I have a strange soft spot for it that I am slightly embarassed of but I dare say it's captured my attention more than most tonight. 6/10

11 Malta: I don't think SHE'S the one, it's a bit like giving Ella Henderson a tropical pop bop. The match feels a bit... not there, at times. But, they made that feel really fun and the staging was interesting, if a little messy at times. She's got pretty much the only female uptempo in the final which should help aswell. Fun! My bum was jiggling to the bop at least. 7.5/10

12 Lithuania: He just leaves me cold, he does so little with his voice to push the song past feeling mediocre. It's very "how to hit the notes 101", no edge to his voice, no real power, just hitting the notes at bare minimum. It really hope this doesn't pull a Storm because that had so much more going for it imo and this feels almost as piss weak as Ireland to me. So little daring or pushing any envelope in what he's trying to do. 4/10

13 Russia: I don't think the staging is actually as outstanding as they think it is - like it would've been a WOW moment five years ago, but if that comes before Australia in the final - who's remembering Sergey's 8 mirrors? It's definitely not all that epic. HOWEVER, comparisons aside, it is a stand out moment in delivering something very dramatic and memorable and vocally, it is on point. 7/10

14 Norway: Oh PLEASE make it I didn't realise I cared this much but that was so much fun and a breath of fresh air among some of the entries that take themselves way too seriously this year. I love all 3 of them and the energy they bring and that middle 8 felt such a moment? LOVE. 8.5/10

That was so much more touching than I was anticipated it being because I've never LOVED it but that last minute in particularly were really lovely and felt genuine in their emotion. A real special moment. I'm still not the BIGGEST fan of the song but it's getting better and better. 9/10

Gutted Moldova and Romania didn't get through, not keen on the Norwegian and the Sweden entries this year. At least the Netherlands and Malta are in there. Now I'm thinking The Netherlands are going to have a runaway winning track, I do love it, and it really stands out. Few surprises in the final though North Macedonia and Russia they hardly ticked any boxes for me
As for the UK, I reckon we are doomed in the bottom 5 by the end of the night.

Finally calm enough to write something, was a bit worried for my own country when North Macedonia, Albania and Denmark had been announced. I am so glad KEiiNO made it, and it seemed like the winner of the night? Difficult for me to say. Ireland looked so good tonight, sad it didn't make it. Armenia deservly dnq, that performance were boring. It did the song no justice.
I am so happy Europe decided good in both semis say yay yay yay!

This final is really wide open, I don't know if anyone has done enough to topple Duncan with all the hype and the bookies' odds seem pretty decisive, but Kate will give him a run for his money and potentially Chingiz too.

Luca full stop is adorable. Been fully in love for 18months now.
So pleased with his performance, like Rob I did have a bit of the fear over vocals but he pulled it off. I'm hoping to god he will come top 5 on Saturday. I really want Kate to win it, but if she can't then it's Luca or eurovish is cancelled again.
My votes tonight were 5x Switzerland. Pleased for North Macedonia, Norway, Sweden and Malta. I enjoyed Lithuania but the rest of the semi was a bit meh, preferred SF1 on the whole. Final should be good, it feels like for once the worst of the songs have been killed off in the semi's and we will have a really strong final - Germany and the UK aside.

I think the qualifiers were about right from this semi, I'm not really desperately wishing any of the DNQs made the final. Maybe the best couple of DNQs and the worst couple of Qs could be interchangeable (Armenia/Moldova and North Macedonia/Malta). Mind, I mainly enjoyed Moldova for the visuals, felt more like Britain's Got Talent than Eurovision lol, the song wasn't really up to much.
I liked her dress. Good vocals, too much scream though.
