I assume you mean The Waitresses ‘Christmas Wrapping’ was the song just outside the top 40? What were the other re releases? Slade and and Wizzard? Yes, you're right. "Christmas Wrapping" first charted (as a "bubbling under" single) in 1981, and will be close to the Top 40 most streamed Christmas songs. John & Yoko, Slade, Wizzard and Elvis all featured on the 1981 Christmas chart. There were a further 8 Christmas-themed singles in 1981 which haven't endured. Mostly deservedly. |
