Taken aback by how good this is! It's very minimal but works so well, Levine's vocals are on point. One of their best in recent years.

really liked. the song and the story behind, the song written about their manager that died at age 40
but then was reading at Reddit how it's someone else's song and that M5 bought it and Adam did a Beyonce and changed 3 commas :/ |

They are one of the few bands from their generation still able to achieve hit singles.
Most of the bands from the early 00's have either split or find success only on the album chart. |

Very true and their albums are doing ok aswell, their singles album has really built up sales since its release despite a low peak and will go platinum some time next year despite it missing loads of their singles.

Actually it's not usual for Universal to approve a release of a single that is sample cover and as a lead single. I mean they are not like Sony who wants to cover everything for higher profits like Westlife, Take That, discography, Bounce Back by Little Mix, Pretend by CNCO, Undecided by Chris Brown etc
