Album Sales were low yesterday ( probably lowest in the week again ) and the fact that "Divide" sold less than 20k does mean that Ed will need to double that daily rate for next 2 days to make 200k. A tall order but we do see a high percentage of Sales getting added late in the week.

This might be a stupid question but what's the actual difference between a mixtape and an album?

This one is classed as a 'playlist' ie not as good as an Album, a mixed bag of Songs. In my view the categorization is a technicality, "More Life" is sat at the top of iTunes Top Albums and should be considered as an Album (but may be Drake didn't have the confidence for it to be considered as a Full Album release). |

Incidentally, the general consensus tends to be that "Views" is the worst of all of Drake's (recent) projects |

Both Scotland and Wales have their own charts (as does, or at least used to have, Northern Ireland). All sales in those charts are included in the overall Official UK Chart. I'm guessing streams aren't included due to difficulties in tracking streaming information to specific geographical locations given how much streaming data there is to process. In theory it should be possible to include streams but it's probably not very practical. Indeed, for many years after downloads were included in the overall UK charts the regional charts were still based purely on physical sales. As for why each nation (except England) has its own chart, I guess those charts are compiled because the information is (streams aside) available to compile those charts and at one time those charts were broadcast on BBC radio in each country. I imagine that record labels still find value in the information, to see how acts / albums are performing in each country. England doesn't have its own chart but at one time (and most likely it still is the situation) sales information was available for all English regions based on the coverage area of the local independent TV station. Again this allowed record labels to see how acts / albums were performing, especially in relation to regional advertising campaigns. Where is this Welsh chart? It's not produced by the OCC, although their Wikipedia page (I know, I know) says they used to produce one. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Official_Charts_Company |

Where is this Welsh chart? It's not produced by the OCC, although their Wikipedia page (I know, I know) says they used to produce one. The OCC do still compile Welsh Singles and Albums charts. For whatever reason the OCC have decided, unlike the Scottish equivalents, not to include the charts on their website. The position of records in the Top 75 of both the Scottish and Welsh singles and album charts are referenced each week in the weekly chart e-newsletter UKChartsPlus when those same records appear inside the main Top 200 (UK) Singles and Album charts. Number 1 Single last week was 'Shape Of You' (unlike Scotland where 'Galway Girl' was number 1) while the number 1 Album was the same as the rest of the UK.https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Official_Charts_Company http://www.ukchartsplus.co.uk/contents.htm There is a link to a sample copy of the current format of the newsletter (which shows how positions in both the Scottish and Welsh charts are referenced) at http://www.ukchartsplus.co.uk/sample_copy.htm (the link is to issue number 463, dated 10 July 2010, and is near to the bottom of the page) as well as sample copies of two previous incarnations of the newsletter, one from 2004 and one from 2008. I'm assuming this data is all missing streaming?
