People using their phones in DURING the film is sooo distracting and of course, people talking too. I usually just leave it and silently get angry () but once, I had to get up a tell this middle-aged lady that she was like shouting throughout the film and people have paid to hear the film and not her !

Oh and when I'm between seats? The aisles are always quite narrow so you have to awkwardly stand up to let people past I try to sit next to the steps in the middle at the back

I have had to walk out only twice though, it's usually in horror films annoyingly enough which are my favourite type of films.

I won't open the can of worms from last year in the Lounge about people going to the toilet The worst was a time when some couple brought their grandchildren. The elder two were fine but the youngest (about 2, I think) cried all the way through the film. She was evidently not wanting to be there but the adults refused to take her out, calm her down, etc. They just kept shushing her and it was clear her siblings were a bit pissed they couldn't concentrate on the film. It was the Lego Batman movie so it's not like grandad wanted to see it so much he couldn't take the youngest out for five minutes to check she's ok. The fact that they turned up late also didn't help.

BuzzJack Legend Pronouns: he/him Joined: 25 July 2013 Posts: 26,023 User: 19,585	Our Showcase has recently been redeveloped with comfier seats and room for people to get by which means no more awkward moving when people need to leave for whatever reason. The downside to this I've found is that the redevelopment has meant fewer seats in the screens because they're larger, recline etc. This has meant on two occasions I've been I have had to leave the cinema because there were no seats left!! I've learnt from this and just book online but it is annoying to not be able to just go and buy a ticket or having to go ridiculously early just to guarantee a seat.

BuzzJack Enthusiast Joined: 26 February 2008 Posts: 946 User: 5,484	My Most annoying thing, probably wont effect many others but as a wheelchair user there is literally like 2 spaces in a screen and a carers seat next to it, I always prebook the space online but whenever get there the carers seat next to the wheelchair space always has someone sat in it, when went to see The Force Awakens it was busy and out of the 2 carers seats people was sat in both and neither would move resulting in an usher shouting very loudly "Well one of you will have to move" I think I died inside and just wanted to leave as everyone looked, but still neither was going to move, one did eventually begrudgingly. Another time a middle aged lady was sat in it literally eating a picnic spread cross the seat next to her. (This is my local odeon where disabled seats are located right at the back) Also again to do with wheelchair spaces in new build cinemas they all at front so i get neck strain whenever go as have to look up and I hate being at the front as feel like everyone watching me from behind. I also hate people who look at phone through out the film with a bright shining light from the screen.

The owls are not what they seem Pronouns: He/him Joined: 11 July 2009 Posts: 37,119 User: 9,232	For me personally, when I watch a film (even with laugh out loud escapist comedies), I need to pay attention and take it in so any kind of distractions from people around me during films really annoys me and why I often don't bother with the cinema so I can watch alone! Case in point: When I saw Get Out, there were a group of teenage girls that screaming and shouting after every fucking jump scare (adding to the fact they came in late, were talking through the film, eating loudly etc.)
