Didn't realise there wasn't a topic for this! (Unless there is and I've missed it heehee.gif)

But anyway, Christian was really fantastic. Love his song - love it when people do (good) originals - and I love the quirks to his vocal delivery that won't be for everyone but certainly are for me!

Posted by: Qween 27th August 2016, 07:42 PM

Christian was everything I hate about current male popstars, but it's hard to argue that he's talented/deserve to go through.

Posted by: Liаm 27th August 2016, 07:43 PM

Oops I messed up and merged all the posts in my one so this can be the one rotf.gif

Christian was terrible, hated his "vocals". I get that it was a sob story but I just hate that sort of voice and it was so cliche. Samantha has a hell of a lot of potential but it was totally the wrong song, she was a bit shouty and diva-ish for an Ellie Goulding ballad.

Posted by: Qween 27th August 2016, 07:43 PM

Whatever Mrs. O has had done in the last few years has worked wonders too. Now she's only nasty in the inside.

Posted by: MauriceMears 27th August 2016, 07:44 PM

This James Wilson guy is bland as f***.

Posted by: Liаm 27th August 2016, 07:46 PM

God how bland laugh.gif Journey South gone solo.

Posted by: Qween 27th August 2016, 07:47 PM

This entire endeavour thus far has been curiously BLAND

Posted by: MauriceMears 27th August 2016, 07:48 PM

Can we have fun auditions please?, tonight is a bit bland and boring

Posted by: cqmerqn 27th August 2016, 07:50 PM

Finals confirmed for Dec 10.

Posted by: cqmerqn 27th August 2016, 07:51 PM

Samantha ruined my favourite song of all time sad.gif

Posted by: Mart!n 27th August 2016, 07:53 PM

Christian was good, and at the top of the show, OneD biggrin.gif came to mind... Yes Lads...awful name for a band though,

Posted by: Mart!n 27th August 2016, 07:55 PM

What on earth is this rotf.gif

Posted by: PeteFromLeeds 27th August 2016, 07:57 PM

Just catching up now. Christian was a decent singer but the line 'go to school, break the rules, play hopscotch' was a bit lame.

Yes Lad were dreadful though

Posted by: Qween 27th August 2016, 07:58 PM

Nicole getting a showcase for some HOT VOX is never a bad thing

Posted by: Qween 27th August 2016, 07:59 PM

God just the idea of her OUTSHINING whatever poor soul she might mentor to thr final has me all AQUIVER

Posted by: Liаm 27th August 2016, 08:04 PM

That girl was very good, but I hated the vague sob story shoehorned in, yet again drama.gif Amazing song though, for her to be compared to the best reality show winner of all time is such an honour! Hopefully PBP rushes up iTunes <3

Posted by: Cameron 27th August 2016, 08:04 PM

That song choice!

So Caitlyn Vanbeck - considered to be the Louisa Johnson of this year according to Digital Spy Forums - is performing Kelly's Piece By Piece tonight (presumably the Idol version). Very intrigued to see it and also to see if it can have an iTunes impact!

Posted the above in the spoilers thread earlier. Totally get the hype after that, I'm sure she can do an Ella Henderson at the very least!

Posted by: Jester 27th August 2016, 08:06 PM

Turned it off.

Average singers, too much crying and sob stories.

Posted by: JosephSpears 27th August 2016, 08:06 PM

Caitlyn was FANTASTIC heart.gif

Someone has clearly been spraying Nicole with pepper spray cos bitch has been crying NON STOP

Are they going to ignore the fact that Caitlyn reached the 6 chair challenge last year?

Posted by: Liаm 27th August 2016, 08:12 PM

Ryan was as bad as the dead brother guy, I hate these sort of paper thin voices. Can we not have a male with a strong, powerful voice rather than the usual boring cliches?

Omg I knew I recognised her vaguely somehow! I thought maybe someone followed her on twitter and retweeted her to my timeline. She was barely shown last year iirc but it's a bit silly they don't even mention it laugh.gif

Posted by: Mart!n 27th August 2016, 08:17 PM

Melissa was really really really good, loved her performance

"I live in a caravan" is my new favourite sob story. Giving me Petula Gordino teas

Posted by: Liаm 27th August 2016, 08:18 PM

Melissa was quite good, nothing unique or amazing for an over 25 but she managed to make that "song" listenable which is a feat in itself laugh.gif

Caitlyn was ❤️ Fantastic performance of a terrific song! Also loved Honey G!

Posted by: mdh 27th August 2016, 10:24 PM

Am I the only one that thought this was SUPER good? In comparison to other recent years I thought this was brilliant, the perfect mixture of good and bad acts and I was in stitches so many times.

Posted by: Jade 27th August 2016, 11:08 PM

I agree that it was a very enjoyable opening show! Honey G was my highlight of them all though, what a brilliantly bizzare woman *.*

Omg this unanimous Honey G stanning *.*

Posted by: Ðøßßø 28th August 2016, 09:04 AM

Yeah Honey G was the clear highlight last night no questions asked.

The only other one I particularly cared for was the woman who sang Crazy, good audition.

I'm liking the panel reunion & the room auditions combo this series, like a flashback to 10 years ago when it was at its peak.

However I hate the side comments from the other contestants watching on the big screens, so orchestrated...

Finals confirmed for Dec 10.

So assuming there are 12 finalists and no double eliminations, that would give us a 8th October start date. However I suspect there will at least one double so October 15th seems more likely.

For the winners single this year. I think we will see a streaming release after the final. Followed by a download and physical the following Friday in time for the Christmas chart.

Posted by: mdh 28th August 2016, 10:35 AM

Yeah, Simon isn't thick, he's going to do everything he can to get that #1 single.

6.8M for The X Factor. Very low, 800K down on last year.

Posted by: JosephSpears 28th August 2016, 10:50 AM

Overnight ratings matter less right now when many people watch on demand or record and watch later, I'll be more interested in the final ratings!

Can't see that happening as it'd be lucky to go top 75 as a streaming only release and the media really would have a field day. For X Factor putting all of the eggs in one basket for the best first week peak is probably the best way to go. I'm glad they won't be releasing on Xmas week though.

----

Honey G was amusing indeed, her Work It performance was quite impressive and had good timing actually!

The whole show felt like we'd been transported back to 2005, with all of the usual cliches. I won't miss it when it finishes for good but I still quite enjoy watching it.

Posted by: Froot. 28th August 2016, 12:32 PM

Just came to say that I'm happy the smug smile on Louis Walsh's face can be truly WIPED off seeing as the ratings are down even further on last year after all the slagging off of last year's series and his arrogant attitude in all the interviews he's done over the past year. That's the only reason why I care about the ratings.

There are indeed wildcards again, but to make it REALLY WILD each judge picks for a different category. I can't recall who is picking for who/which judge has which category because frankly my X Factor fanatic days are OVER. Still, at least it's different.

Posted by: Mart!n 28th August 2016, 07:15 PM

I was waiting for her to belt out Let It Go, but she proved me wrong with that performance of Chandelier. Loved it

Posted by: Ryan. 28th August 2016, 07:15 PM

I still can't believe Saara Aalto of Finnish Eurovision national final fame is on UK TV!

And she was so good as well. I think she'd be great at musical theatre, both of her Eurovision songs have had musical theatre elements to them as well. I'd love her to get somewhere on here, she came 2nd in both of her national final appearances in Finland so she's been so close to stardom (well at least becoming well-known in Europe for a couple of weeks) a couple of times!

Posted by: Liаm 28th August 2016, 07:15 PM

MY ASS WANTS TO CLAP FOR YOU rotf.gif

I loved Saara, I think she should have done a different song maybe because Chandelier sounds a bit odd if you mess with it but her control is astounding!

Posted by: Liаm 28th August 2016, 07:31 PM

I liked Emily's voice enough and she was CERTAINLY better than she was in 2014 (I found her borderline unlistenable) but she is just the female version of a 20 year old lad with a guitar and a paper thin voice. I think she has a good chance of being a pick to diversify the lives but come like 10th.

Posted by: burbe 29th August 2016, 08:37 PM

Enjoying the returning three judges and return of the joke auditions. I do feel they should've settled on this panel back in 2014 but better late than never. You gotta love Nicole's joke about not being asked back in 2014 by Simon with that returning act from that year! laugh.gif

Posted by: BeaverGotTrumped 29th August 2016, 09:53 PM

I was back for a couple days and I liked thia it was a lot of dun even if it ks trying to manipulate viewers with cheesy sob stories etc and he asks different questions to arrive to the sob story of certain people but ok.

Last few years it has been DIRGE but now it's ok, esp to laugh at the plastic faces of Nocole and Sharon laugh.gif

Exactly laugh.gif I'm sure a lot of them go on for a laugh or just to take the piss and get their 5 minutes on screen and they know exactly what they're doing.

Posted by: PeteFromLeeds 30th August 2016, 04:20 PM

In my opinion, I think they would be better off cutting the auditions and the first stage of bootcamp entirely, and just introduce the acts at the 6 chair challenge stage.

But then again, maybe that's because I can't be bothered with the joke auditions and Simon stopping an act 5 seconds into their song before making them sing one he likes.

Posted by: 360Jupiter 30th August 2016, 04:29 PM

Generally agree. I also think the whole concept of the six chair challenge is cruel. "We're going to put you through and then we're going to take it away from you while the crowd bays for you to be sent off". The live shows are the best bit anyway - seeing them when they've all had their makeovers!

Posted by: JosephSpears 30th August 2016, 04:34 PM

^ I disagree with this, once again, people know what they're letting themselves in for. They know that once they're in the seat, it's not final and they aren't through just yet.

The live shows are my favourite part but I've spoken to many people over the years and they've said the auditions is their fave part, because it's the most entertaining. Sure, there are tons of clichés, but we know this by now and have done for years yet we're still watching. X Factor's past its peak but that's been the case for a while and its viewing figures are fine considering how many different ways of consuming TV shows there are now. Overnight ratings mean very little beyond media headlines.

I actually like the concept of the six chair challenge, but I see that it can upset the contestants. I think the best way to do it would be for the Judges to do a 'six-chair challenge' by themselves without the contestants knowing, but I dont know how they would do that. It is always interesting to see how the contestants look in the live shows though.

Does anyone know where they're revealing the results of the Judges' houses this year?

I liked the live reveal, it meant that they couldn't only play full auditions of the people who reached the final as they did in previous years. It also meant that they could change their minds (like Simon did sending through that Max guy when we had only seen him in the six chair challenge laugh.gif )

What I didn't like though was when the contestants had to 'beg' for a place in the Final. You can't talk your way out of being a weak(er) singer.

Posted by: Liаm 30th August 2016, 04:50 PM

Again, agree with Joseph here, they know what they're doing. It's not a brand new format and when people sign up to the show they know what they are doing laugh.gif They know they have a fight ahead of them, I feel like people would complain if they kept the old format because "it was getting boring".

Posted by: PeteFromLeeds 30th August 2016, 04:53 PM

New idea: Let's get them all to audition in front of a box so we don't have to hear Simon forcing them to talk about a dead relative laugh.gif

Gravity is one of my favourite songs ever wub.gif Niall gave that song exactly the sort of voice it needed. This Say Something guy was less good, I hate when a soft song like this is turned into a shouty belting song, I just think like Samantha last week if you really want to show your voice in that way, why not sing something that actually calls for that?

Marianna is very talented for sure but a bit plain, if she was to win or get signed she'd just do a mothers day covers album or a haphazard Radio 2 adult contemporary album that still comes out for Mothers' Day.

It makes a mockery of actual bad things that happen to people like her domestic violence when they make sob stories out of uncooked chicken, relationship splits and "I live in a caravan" drama.gif

Posted by: Mart!n 4th September 2016, 08:02 PM

Posted by: Liаm 10th September 2016, 07:23 PM

I love Mel's honesty as a judge, but she works better as a guest. It wears a bit thin and she is a horrendous mentor with her song choices, that was more evident on the Australian series (I know I say this every time!) but I wouldn't want her back full time necessarily.

Gifty was great, I loved the song for her and it was just the right amount of feeling and drama without being OTT or shouty.

Those two were decent but she'd get no further than maybe 6 chair challenge on her own. That's the thing I hate about the groups, because they don't have anywhere near as many as the boys, girls or even overs, the standard is a lot lower and really average groups can get further than really good solo acts. I know that's just the format of the show but eh.

Omg that woman singing All THe Man That I Need was SO good! It was great to hear that for a change, one of the most underrated Whitney songs wub.gif I think it's pathetic that people keep moaning about international acts, would they rather watch another boy with a guitar or a girl shouting her way through a soft song and ruining it just because they are British? I'd much rather see someone like Sada or the woman just now. I care about their talent not where they're from. British people have won X Factor in Australia and France, and The Voice in Germany and Netherlands, but that's never a problem only the bloody foreigners taking our jobs and our X Factor live show slots!11!!

Tbh Jamuna sang it better than Callum Scott. This James Arthur vocal wannabe can leave though, it sounds SO forced like he is trying to sound like the perfect "edgy" X Factor voice.

However this series I feel like 80% of each show is being dedicated to the "funny" acts and I'd rather see actual talented people! sad.gif

Been renewed for THREE (!!!) more years! (BGT as well)

Eek. I'll only approve of this if there's a massive revamp due.

Posted by: gooddelta 16th September 2016, 12:15 PM

Oh, I had it in my head this would be the last series!

Yeah it needs a huge revamp/format change next year as this year's enjoyable, but only coming at it with the approach that it's clearly stuck in 2005 and appreciating it for what it is. I couldn't take another year of it exactly the same. Will be interesting to see what happens if the winner's single flops again. Obviously there's no issue if it's a smash, they'll just carry on as normal and take Forever Young as a fluke.

Posted by: Liаm 16th September 2016, 12:20 PM

It definitely needs a revamp, I feel like BGT is somehow more tired than XF despite XF being more limited in theory, but then I haven't given a shit about BGT for like 5 years so I'm a tad biased. I don't think they drastically redo anything though, the ratings might be lower but ratings in general are and it's still a solid ratings high for ITV. I don't think the winner's single will ever smash again with streaming factored in, unless maybe they take a leaf out of X Factor Australia's book. 12 years and STILL we always get a dated ballad. XF Australia always has something current and specially tailored to the act, obviously sometimes that does happen to be a ballad but I'd kill for something like Good Night by Reece Mastin or What You've Done To Me by Samantha Jade. They can't really except a hit in 2016 out of a plain dated ballad cover that barely changes the original.

Poor Lisa Loeb - Stay, I'd have possibly picked that actually, it's a gorgeous song and not completely overplayed like the others on the wall so at least you could bring something a little less tired to the table with it.

Saara is a good singer but JESUS woman nobody wants the Jessie J we HAVE, we don't need ANOTHER

Lol at Simon trying to feign ignorance!! As if he would let one DETAIL go unchecked in reality.

Posted by: Jack 18th September 2016, 07:39 PM

I can't with how staged this series has been so far, do the producers take the British public for idiots or something?! I mean most of them are but still...

Posted by: Cameron 18th September 2016, 07:41 PM

Sam is the only good one out of this trio. I can't at the guy getting cheered on for forgetting his words

Posted by: Qween 18th September 2016, 07:42 PM

To be honest gruff dyslexic man was actually not half bad. Chain smoking mum of failed pop star fame was singing English I assume? I couldn't make out a word

Posted by: Cameron 18th September 2016, 07:50 PM

I think The Overs are definitly the best category this year. I think they should make it 28 again so they can keep a lot of good ones laugh.gif

They've gone all in on banking on idiocy following Brexit I assume.

Posted by: No Sleeep 18th September 2016, 09:26 PM

Well we never really saw anybody new...

I was really getting into this series until tonight. Chanal was my favourite and she got treated terribly, I hate how they just cut her bit out. I'm pretty she didn't get through. I was liking Gifty until now but that was terrible! I'm remembering why I didn't like her the last time

I've accepted that we're probably getting another Matt Cardle/James Arthur/Leon Jackson winner this year cry.gif

Posted by: gooddelta 18th September 2016, 09:46 PM

Matt Terry seems like the obvious frontrunner at the moment, and certainly 'the one' as far as the producers seem to be concerned so far.

He seems a cut above the 100 'authentic boy with guitar and troubled soul' types so I'd be ok with that, he's got a great voice and seems very likeable.

Posted by: Ðøßßø 18th September 2016, 10:02 PM

Plus he'll get the dominant female vote for being good-looking & because he was dumped just before the auditions.

Posted by: Rooney 18th September 2016, 10:13 PM

I fully agree, he seems like a real worthy front runner at the moment. Not so sure how he will be with all the themes though...

Totally agreed about the producers thinking we're stupid. You can already tell whose through to the live shows pretty much. Some of the set ups were awful tonight. Really can't believe Honey G could plausibly get to the lives..

Posted by: danG 18th September 2016, 10:18 PM

my mum couldn't believe Honey G got sent through but I really think they're setting her up for the lives..

Posted by: Jack 18th September 2016, 10:26 PM

I'd be okay with Honey G being the joke act this year. It'd be refreshing as it's never been a female before who is seen as the joke act.

Posted by: gooddelta 18th September 2016, 10:30 PM

With Sharon in charge of the overs though, will she put Honey G through? If it was Louis then I could understand it better.

Wait, what am I saying, if the producers want her through then Sharon will have to do as they say laugh.gif

I quite love the juxtaposition of Sada Vidoo being so wacky and eccentric, yet her comfort zone being 80s/early 90s MOR like Love Is A Battlefield and Hold On. I really thought she'd be doing music like Kerli or something.

Paddy Power's top 12 atm

Great to see 2 groups in the top 5. cheer.gif
I just wish Ivy was much higher sad.gif

Matt Terry 3/1
Caitlyn Vanbeck 9/2
The Brooks 6/1
5AM 10/1
Olivia Garcia 14/1
Emily Middlemas 14/1
Freddy Parker 14/1
James Wilson 14/1
Ryan Lawrie 20/1
Gifty Louise 20/1
Ivy Grace Paredes 25/1
Samantha Lavery 25/1

The Brooks are 6/1 really? blink.gif they don't strike me as anything more than week 3 of the lives at best...

Really hope Caitlyn doesn't win (on current evidence), this year's Louisa Johnson far too overhyped.

Can't argue with that favourite, no Honey G tho? laugh.gif

Wrong choice Simon, I know all the performances were crap tonight, but I think Samantha could have improved along the way, and why the f*** did he give a seat to Jordana she was pretty crap. Gifty could have been better but out of the lot so far, she far ahead from the rest.

I was at the boys 6 chair challenge and this is what I posted in the spoilers thread:

QUOTE(Ryan. @ Jul 11 2016, 10:47 PM) *
So I was at the evening session yesterday which was Nicole and the Boys, we were running around 3-4 hours behind schedule so finished at 12.30am, and the remaining 4 boys were carried over to today! :')

When the session ended there were only 5 in chairs, Nicole was being very ruthless! She made a couple of mistakes for me (mainly a 16 year old who sang a very obscure rock song called 'Cuddly Toy' and also the guy that sang 'Lush Life' who had a quirky tone but then sang an original song too which sealed his fate in a bad way) but I definitely didn't see a winner. Can't remember all the song choices but the ones that excited me (and will therefore be most exciting to you I guess) were:

Zara Larsson - Lush Life
Calum Scott - Dancing On My Own
Johnny Cash/Leona Lewis - Hurt (he specified which version but I didn't hear what he said)
Nicole Scherzinger - Run

When the guy who sung Run said he was doing so, Nicole commented "Wow, I didn't know anyone knew that one"! heehee.gif For me it was the standout performance, and the crowd gave one of their biggest reactions to it as well - the arena was very quiet during the performance so I thought the "unknown" song was going to make it not go down very well but there was an eruption of applause at the end. I can't see the guy going through to the live shows as he didn't quite have that something, but he was the strongest one for me and was one of the 5 on a chair at the end of the session. Simon also made a joke about Lewis Hamilton at this point with the subject of 'Run' kink.gif

Nicole had an obsession with getting 80% of the boys to sing 30 seconds of another song a capella which only ended up working in the favour of one or two! Don't know if other judges have been doing this too.

Regarding the bit in bold, the 16 year old unfortunately didn't get any airtime except speaking in one of those backstage reaction clips. The other guy turned out to be Will Rush, I didn't click that it was him as he had a hat on at 6 chairs. They completely cut his very decent version of Lush Life in tonight's show and went straight to showing his second chance song which was that quite awful original.

After Mike got chair 1, Nicole said no to about 6 in a row which were all cut except for Will - and nearly every single boy I saw got a second chance to sing "30 seconds acapella", most of which was cut as well. Only the first 5 seats were filled by the time the day of filming ended, the rest of the boys filming took place the next day so that was all cleverly edited. Out of what was shown the right decisions were made, but as I said in the post above, she did make a couple of mistakes from what we saw live.

In the girls, Emily has cemented herself as my favourite - absolutely perfect for my tastes! wub.gif Looking forward to seeing Eurovision star Saara Aalto tomorrow cheer.gif

Posted by: mdh 25th September 2016, 07:56 AM

Obsessed with Christian, he's going from James Arthurs twin to Professor Green to Raleigh Ritchie in the space of one performance. I really hope he wins.

Posted by: Mackenzie 25th September 2016, 10:35 AM

I think Nicole let all the right guys through looking at the 17/18 that made it from Boot Camp. However Simon was a bit hit and miss if you ask me Gifty, the blonde girl with the cap and the girl with the guitar were the only memorable ones... shame because the other 3 which should of gone onto Judges Houses out of that category each had a seat at one point.

Posted by: HausofTravis 25th September 2016, 11:20 AM

The boys category is so bad. Sexton is the only one with a voice I can potentially enjoy listening to - if he gets through he seems like he could be one to have a massive moment in the lives.

I really despise Matt Terry and his smarmy aura. That whole fiasco of making him sing again and get more airtime was so eye-roll worthy.

I only care about one person out of the boys AND girls and that's Gifty.

Just here for Sada Vidoo from the overs now so if she's out (which let's face it, she probably will be because many will not "get" her), i'm really losing any interest I have in the contestants. sad.gif

Posted by: Pavel 25th September 2016, 12:30 PM

Just watched Sada's audition and she's quite amazing, isn't she? What a breath of fresh air among these bland clichés that nearly always dominate the categories. The thing that bothered me was the judges being so... erm... judgey about the way she looked before she event started. But then again I always knew Simon was an unbearable c**t so I'm not really surprised.

Posted by: HausofTravis 25th September 2016, 12:40 PM

Yeah it made me feel quite uncomfortable. She's quite clearly sure of herself and who she is as an artist but as always they just grin and laugh at anyone that isn't textbook "popstar" material looks wise. She's a real stunner with a beautiful voice (and clearly a star going on her original material floating around on youtube) so EVERYTHING CROSSED this evening :'((

Posted by: Cameron 25th September 2016, 12:41 PM

If matt gets to the finals he will do secret love song with little mix

Posted by: PeteFromLeeds 25th September 2016, 05:34 PM

Just caught up now and I have to say, THAT WAS SO PREDICTABLE. When there were two girls left, and there just happened to be two girls in seats who we hadn't seen before this stage...I wonder what could happen here?

Also, when Nicole made two of the most popular boys sing against this other, well obviously she wasn't going to send either of them home. Especially when that foreign guy they spent less than a minute on was still in a chair.

Posted by: Bonquiqui 25th September 2016, 06:13 PM

Posted by: Mart!n 25th September 2016, 06:18 PM

I would go for 5AM, 4 of Diamonds and probably Scarlet through to the finals, really surprised Yes Lads went out though, I also feel the Queens might end up through to the lives for entertainment value a la Jedward, oh well they will go out at some point.

I think 4 of Diamonds are the better girl group out of all the girl bands.

All the boybands were really boring. Every boyband is always going to be compared to One Direction and none of them really were any good. And I mean Yes Lad.. f***ing hell, those guys will be embarrassed about coming up with as awful a name as that in 5 years time.

Bradley & Octavia are certs for the live shows.. this is assuming 4 acts go through.

I'm sure unsure on who to predict through because, as we saw at six chairs, a song choice can totally make or break someone (like most of the boys category lol) but this is who I *want* through:

Boys
Freddy Parker (he has POtential so I'm pinning my hopes on a good judges' houses performance for him, his audition was good but six chairs was weak)
Matt Terry (although they are pushing him so hard it's starting to get a bit annoying lol)
Ryan Lawrie (obv)

Girls (easy category, all three are fantastic)
Caitlyn Vanbeck
Emily Middlemas
Gifty Louise

Groups (Tom & Laura as my 4th choice, this is surprisingly strong, although we're bound to get the chicken duo ughhh)
5AM
The Brooks
Skarl3t

Overs (we're bound to get Honey G here, I won't be against her as a novelty act as far as they go I must say lol)
Janet Grogan
Relley C
Saara Alto (although I'm not against foreign language songs, her 2nd performance at six chairs was super awkward as it just wasn't the right song for the moment, regardless of language - hopefully with mentoring she can avoid that kinda mistake lol)

Haha, I'm not sure if Bradley & Ottavio are going by their band name or not - I was just used to Digital Spy calling them that. I've changed it to their names so people recognise who I'm talking about heehee.gif

Who is the living doll? I want her through along with Honey G.

Posted by: skankhunt42 25th September 2016, 09:28 PM

After spendig DO MUCH TIME!! in auditions on novelty this year, it only makes sense that they continue with the entertainment side of it and have a lot of nobelty acts go through.

Sada Vidoo - she got sent home at six chairs sad.gif

Posted by: Rooney 25th September 2016, 09:37 PM

Let's be honest though, I can only see 1x novelty act. Honey G/B&O fighting it out.. though I guess it really does depend on how many final acts we have.

Putting Skarl3t through would be a big mistake too. The public are going to hate them.

Final 28

Boys (not really that bothered to be honest, the boys category is pretty bad)
Christian Burrows
Matt Terry
Nate Simpson

Girls
Emily Middlemas
Gifty Louise
Olivia Garcia (really hard one to call she has got potential)*
Samantha Lavery (Same as above, can be a nightmare to work with though)*

* I reckon its between those 2, but Caitlyn Vanbeck could be in with a shout over them

Groups
5AM
Four Of Diamonds
Tom & Laura

I have a feeling Bradley & Ottavio (Chicken Tonight) will get through for entertainment value, Louis has got a thing for joke acts now and than, cough Jedward cough)
I just hope Scarlet don't get through, I still think 4oD are a very strong girl band

Overs
Janet Grogan
Relley C
Saara Aalto (Still not sure about her, but I would prefer Sam over her)
Samantha Atkinson

I can't see James in the lives unfortunately, he will get pretty nervous, I do like him though but I do find his vocals a bit rough.
Honey G I don't think Sharon will put her through to be honest, one joke act in the final will be enough. Two joke acts is really pushing the barrel out.

Posted by: Cameron 25th September 2016, 09:58 PM

The chicken guys are obviously going through if Louis' mentor's interview is anything to go by

Posted by: Liаm 25th September 2016, 10:23 PM

This is a really lacklustre year, the boys in particular is a horrendous category. My thoughts as I've had to catch up the past couple of weeeks:

Boys:
Horrible category all in all, especially Christian and Freddie. I just do not get them at all. The only one I particularly like is Niall but he's nothing outrageously special. Matt is ok but I'm fed up of them pushing him laugh.gif

Girls:
All pretty much solid but I don't really love any of them as such, I'd say Gifty is probably my favourite. Olivia and Caitlyn are great too. I still can't fully get behind Emily, I don't find that exciting or special at all but I'm certain she'll be the cool/quirky one in he top 3. I just pray Gifty gets there, she really has that X Factor and seems quite down to earth and likeable as well, although I feel like she'd inevitably come like 9th. I can't stand Sohelia, her attitude is really off putting and I don't think she's really that good to back it up either. I really don't think there's a winner here.

Groups:
Pretty bad as always, the only one I really would care about is Skarl3t but I don't like their atttudes. I guess Tom & Laura are nice enough/cute but eh. The boybands are horrendous, I just can't. A hopeless category anyway laugh.gif

Overs:
Definitely the strongest category for me - any 3 of Relley, Saara, Samantha, Janet and Honey G would be great! I doubt Sharon will choose all males though, I expect James will make it and then Honey G for the novelty factor (although I expect Louis will choose Cosmic Riot or w/e they're called as well), and then one of the "proper" female overs.

Posted by: PeteFromLeeds 26th September 2016, 06:36 AM

I can't see Bradley & Ottavio making the final. Over everything, their attitude is awful

Posted by: Mikee1981 26th September 2016, 08:29 AM

Boys
Christian Burrows
Matt Terry
Niall Sexton

Girls
Caitlyn Vanbeck
Gifty Louise
Olivia Garcia

Groups
Four Of Diamonds
Skarl3t
Yes Lad

Overs
Relley C
Saara Aalto
Samantha Atkinson

These are the ones I'd like to see more of , I thought the Overs was quite strong until some messed up and didn't get a chair, I would not of brought Honey G back but it was so obvious they would somehow, Louis and the Groups was a total mess, some good groups being left out for Ottavia & Bradley!! and The Brooks!!, The boys seem quite strong but getting James Arthur, Matt Cardle winner vibe off them, The girls seem strong and would be quite happy to take more of them through and get rid of a few others ;-)

Posted by: MauriceMears 26th September 2016, 10:09 AM

I think it's gonna be:
Girls-
Emily Middelmas
Samantha Lavery
Gifty Louise

Overs-
Reilly C
Honey G
Sara Alto

Boys-
Matt Terry
Freddy Parker
Ryan Lawrie

Groups-
5am
The Brooks or Yes Lad
Cosmic Riot

What a great to send out there. You sing really well but your persona is too out there so byeeeee see you next time when you've come to your senses and wore normal clothes and showed us some tits or something I mean we can't sell THAT.

Sad sad sad

Posted by: Ðøßßø 26th September 2016, 10:15 AM

Wow 8 pages in one night? A far cry from Saturday's show!

Anyway the Overs category was an absolute disaster on a personal view, all the acts I cared for were kicked out. Had to laugh at the crowd when Saara sang that French track, obvious the crowd were predictably gonna hate it. Was clear they wouldn't put Honey G through so that didn't bother me but I really thought Sharon would keep Sada *sigh* Just hope that blonde bitch doesn't get through to Lives can't stand her at all.

As for the Groups well that category was dead & buried the moment the show started. No one there who would even get half way through the lives. Glad he (eventually) got rid of that group who sang Drag Me Down they were terrible. Inevitable they would keep the chicken dudes by virtue of bringing them back for the "drama". I thought Yeslad were actually the best group vocally but it was fluke, they just picked a great song.

Posted by: Ðøßßø 26th September 2016, 10:23 AM

OK so I just read here that Honey G is back in all is forgiven.

Completely agreed!!

And of course the audience would hate a French song. Troglodytes.

So gutted at the Overs decisions. My two favourites were Anelisa and Sada and both are out (and not even offered wildcards over bloody Honey G and Saara who I can't stand).

My predictions for lives are as follows -

Girls:

Caitlyn Vanbeck
Gifty Louise Agyeman
Olivia Garcia
(Emily Middlemass as outside contender)

Boys:

Christian Burrows
Matt Terry
Nate Simpson
(Niall Sexton as outside contender)

Overs:

Samantha Atkinson
Christopher Peyton
Relley C
(tbh this category it could be any of them, so hard to predict)

Groups:

5AM
The Brooks
Yes Lad
(Skarl3t being outside contender, can really see him taking through all the boys this time tbh)

Posted by: PeteFromLeeds 26th September 2016, 03:28 PM

Predictions for the moment:

Girls: Gifty, Emily, Caitlyn (who coincidentally have all been in the X Factor before)

Boys: Matt, Christian & Ryan

Groups: 5AM, Tom & Laura, The Brooks

Overs: James, Chris & Honey G (although I'd like it to be the three returners)

Posted by: Jade 26th September 2016, 06:13 PM

The 12 I'd want for the final:

BOYS

Niall Sexton
Christian Burrows
Nate Simpson

GIRLS
Gifty Agyeman
Emily Middlemas
Olivia Garcia

OVERS
Honey G
Relley C
Samantha Atkinson

GROUPS
5am
Bradley & Ottavio
Skarl3t (they'd be hated though, so I think it'd be a mistake)

Posted by: Bonq 1st October 2016, 06:21 PM

why does the UK hate confident black women/women in general

Posted by: Ryan. 1st October 2016, 06:25 PM

Bradley & Ottavio aren't even a LIKEABLE or FUNNY novelty act, at least Jedward, Wagner, Rylan had that going for them. If they get through - which they will as it is Louis after all - then they are bottom two first week. At least Honey G is sort of likeable.

Posted by: Ultraviolence1989 1st October 2016, 06:29 PM

Who I want in the final 12!:

BOYS:
James Hughes
Matt Terry
Nate Simpson

GIRLS:
Caitlyn Vanbeck
Olivia Garcia
Samantha Lavery

OVERS:
Honey G
Relley C
Saara Alto

GROUPS:
4 Of Diamonds
The Brooks
Tom And Laura

Wildcards: (if there are any)
Christian Burrows
Gifty Agyeman (I wouldn't mind Emily either)
Samantha Atkinson
Ottavio And Bradley

Posted by: Ðøßßø 1st October 2016, 06:33 PM

I can't even remember who's who & what all their names are but from the boys I'd want Matt Terry through, the girls I really don't care apart from hoping Caitlyn & that arrogant one doesn't get through. The overs well it's all about Honey G & the groups are all terrible from what I've seen so far.

FAIRIES

This should quite easily be 5AM and the two girl bands, by far the 3 standouts. If Louis didn't want 2 girlbands then The Brooks or Tom & Laura would both be ok choices talent-wise, but Yes Lad and Ottavio & Bradley should be nowhere near consideration.

Posted by: Mart!n 1st October 2016, 07:36 PM

Out of those I pick Tom & Laura, 5AM and 4 of Diamonds
