Didn't realise there wasn't a topic for this! (Unless there is and I've missed it )
But anyway, Christian was really fantastic. Love his song - love it when people do (good) originals - and I love the quirks to his vocal delivery that won't be for everyone but certainly are for me!
Christian was everything I hate about current male popstars, but it's hard to argue that he's talented/deserve to go through.
Oops I messed up and merged all the posts in my one so this can be the one
Christian was terrible, hated his "vocals". I get that it was a sob story but I just hate that sort of voice and it was so cliche. Samantha has a hell of a lot of potential but it was totally the wrong song, she was a bit shouty and diva-ish for an Ellie Goulding ballad.
Whatever Mrs. O has had done in the last few years has worked wonders too. Now she's only nasty in the inside.
This James Wilson guy is bland as f***.
God how bland Journey South gone solo.
This entire endeavour thus far has been curiously BLAND
Can we have fun auditions please?, tonight is a bit bland and boring
Finals confirmed for Dec 10.
Samantha ruined my favourite song of all time
Christian was good, and at the top of the show, OneD came to mind... Yes Lads...awful name for a band though,
What on earth is this
Just catching up now. Christian was a decent singer but the line 'go to school, break the rules, play hopscotch' was a bit lame.
Yes Lad were dreadful though
Nicole getting a showcase for some HOT VOX is never a bad thing
God just the idea of her OUTSHINING whatever poor soul she might mentor to thr final has me all AQUIVER
That girl was very good, but I hated the vague sob story shoehorned in, yet again Amazing song though, for her to be compared to the best reality show winner of all time is such an honour! Hopefully PBP rushes up iTunes <3
That song choice!
Turned it off.
Average singers, too much crying and sob stories.
Caitlyn was FANTASTIC
Someone sound the CUTIE KLAXON *.*
omg I charted Ryan Lawrie's song earlier this year!!!! Needless to say I'm a fan lol x
Are they going to ignore the fact that Caitlyn reached the 6 chair challenge last year?
Ryan was as bad as the dead brother guy, I hate these sort of paper thin voices. Can we not have a male with a strong, powerful voice rather than the usual boring cliches?
Melissa was really really really good, loved her performance
"I live in a caravan" is my new favourite sob story. Giving me Petula Gordino teas
Melissa was quite good, nothing unique or amazing for an over 25 but she managed to make that "song" listenable which is a feat in itself
Is this the Caitlyn who will be singing Andra Day - Rise Up at the 6 chair challenge this year?
That was this year's Rylan Clark
Honey G is clearly going to be a GIVER
Honey G is basically me, just older and female #urbanmusic
Oh my lord she's WONDERFUL. The reversed bits in Work It 🙌🏼
LMFAO THE BACKWARDS BIT I AM LAUGHING SO HARD
Queen
Totally speechless *.*
Honey G to win.
Honey G was definitely the best bit of tonight.
Tbh I would rather vote for Honey G than most of the other acts tonight
Xtra Factor is like BBots now
honey g is my queen and i hope so you think you can f*** with me do ya is her winning single
Xtra Factor is far worst than last year, I don't like the new concept "switches off"
Nicole slaying as usual *.*
Didn't really see much of Louis & Sharon..
H to the O, N to the E, Y to the G! *.*
I turned this on right at the end and they showed Honey G - that might have convinced me to stick with this series this time
Caitlyn was ❤️ Fantastic performance of a terrific song! Also loved Honey G!
Am I the only one that thought this was SUPER good? In comparison to other recent years I thought this was brilliant, the perfect mixture of good and bad acts and I was in stitches so many times.
I agree that it was a very enjoyable opening show! Honey G was my highlight of them all though, what a brilliantly bizzare woman *.*
Omg this unanimous Honey G stanning *.*
Yeah Honey G was the clear highlight last night no questions asked.
The only other one I particularly cared for was the woman who sang Crazy, good audition.
I'm liking the panel reunion & the room auditions combo this series, like a flashback to 10 years ago when it was at its peak.
However I hate the side comments from the other contestants watching on the big screens, so orchestrated...
Yeah, Simon isn't thick, he's going to do everything he can to get that #1 single.
6.8M for The X Factor. Very low, 800K down on last year.
Overnight ratings matter less right now when many people watch on demand or record and watch later, I'll be more interested in the final ratings!
Just came to say that I'm happy the smug smile on Louis Walsh's face can be truly WIPED off seeing as the ratings are down even further on last year after all the slagging off of last year's series and his arrogant attitude in all the interviews he's done over the past year. That's the only reason why I care about the ratings.
The show was ok but honey G was something else *.* she needs to win tbh
I expected that Scottish guy to be a lot worse than he was
He looks nothing like Simon Cowell though
He could sing but so can a lot of people who go on there, he was nothing special. I'll stick to the Twenty One Pilots version
And now we have our first foreign act!
I was half hoping for w Mimi Kanasis rendition
Gosh that was rather good, Finland delivering
Nicole needs to shut up
I was waiting for her to belt out Let It Go, but she proved me wrong with that performance of Chandelier. Loved it
I still can't believe Saara Aalto of Finnish Eurovision national final fame is on UK TV!
And she was so good as well. I think she'd be great at musical theatre, both of her Eurovision songs have had musical theatre elements to them as well. I'd love her to get somewhere on here, she came 2nd in both of her national final appearances in Finland so she's been so close to stardom (well at least becoming well-known in Europe for a couple of weeks) a couple of times!
MY ASS WANTS TO CLAP FOR YOU
I loved Saara, I think she should have done a different song maybe because Chandelier sounds a bit odd if you mess with it but her control is astounding!
Oh gosh, this 17 year old MEGAQUEEN is clearly going to annoy thr tits off me
Oversinging and arrogant to boot, such a winning combo
Well he can sing, but he's going to annoy me so much
It's Emily! I liked her
Id like this doll a pot more with some production behind her, this acoustic shtick is DULL AS
She is a fab voice, but she is a bit of a brat in real life apparently
Nicole: How do you say 'Aye'?
YOU JUST SAID IT YOU IDIOT
I liked Emily's voice enough and she was CERTAINLY better than she was in 2014 (I found her borderline unlistenable) but she is just the female version of a 20 year old lad with a guitar and a paper thin voice. I think she has a good chance of being a pick to diversify the lives but come like 10th.
I loved Emily's performance, one of the best female acts so far along with Melissa from yesterday.
Still sexier than Megan
I don't like it when they put people through to these auditions just for the Judges to make fun of them
I always feel a little bad when they egg on nice people with false hope, but bitch needs to be TOLD
Any excuse for Nicole to steal the show
They're going to put this guy through aren't they
Glad they sent him home now. I feared they'd keep him in for further mockery
I feared they'd keep that advanced driver woman just for laughs
Nobody forces these people to go on, they must know they'll get laughed at
Can they stop forcing these sob stories out of people?
She's not very good....
That was a bit uncomfortable, they were really pushing into all of her life until she said something sad enough.
And how convenient she perfectly knows the song Simon suggests She's really not that good though, she's ok but generic overs female and yet again driven by the sob story.
http://www.officialcharts.com/artist/1460/rebekah%20ryan/ Is this her?
Anyway, watch her singles shoot back up the charts now
I dint like her voice very much tbh, quite unpleasant sounding and strained
Just for a laugh it would be nice if someone performed "Look At My Dab" by Migos in an audition. Seeing Simon Cowell dab would be funny as hell
Oh wow I literally said "Saara looks like someone straight out of Eurovision", she is my new fave.
I liked the Finnish lady but that was about it. I'm glad they've brought back the joke auditions that have been missing for 3 series now.
Enjoying the returning three judges and return of the joke auditions. I do feel they should've settled on this panel back in 2014 but better late than never. You gotta love Nicole's joke about not being asked back in 2014 by Simon with that returning act from that year!
I was back for a couple days and I liked thia it was a lot of dun even if it ks trying to manipulate viewers with cheesy sob stories etc and he asks different questions to arrive to the sob story of certain people but ok.
Last few years it has been DIRGE but now it's ok, esp to laugh at the plastic faces of Nocole and Sharon
Advanced Driving LOLOLOL!!!
I don't like the joke auditions, I don't think it's fair to put people (who actually think they can sing) on TV just to be laughed at
They know what they're letting themselves in for when they audition, it's series 13 now after all...
Loved the opening episodes this weekend but the format is incredibly tired now, and judging by the declining viewing figures, it's definitely time to lay the X-Factor to rest (imho).
In my opinion, I think they would be better off cutting the auditions and the first stage of bootcamp entirely, and just introduce the acts at the 6 chair challenge stage.
But then again, maybe that's because I can't be bothered with the joke auditions and Simon stopping an act 5 seconds into their song before making them sing one he likes.
Generally agree. I also think the whole concept of the six chair challenge is cruel. "We're going to put you through and then we're going to take it away from you while the crowd bays for you to be sent off". The live shows are the best bit anyway - seeing them when they've all had their makeovers!
^ I disagree with this, once again, people know what they're letting themselves in for. They know that once they're in the seat, it's not final and they aren't through just yet.
The live shows are my favourite part but I've spoken to many people over the years and they've said the auditions is their fave part, because it's the most entertaining. Sure, there are tons of clichés, but we know this by now and have done for years yet we're still watching. X Factor's past its peak but that's been the case for a while and its viewing figures are fine considering how many different ways of consuming TV shows there are now. Overnight ratings mean very little beyond media headlines.
Again, agree with Joseph here, they know what they're doing. It's not a brand new format and when people sign up to the show they know what they are doing They know they have a fight ahead of them, I feel like people would complain if they kept the old format because "it was getting boring".
New idea: Let's get them all to audition in front of a box so we don't have to hear Simon forcing them to talk about a dead relative
Advanced driving *.* I'm slayed
Oh just get on with the singers
I thought Paul would be insanely good
The bloke that did Applause has slain me so hard.
Is this just a way of saying Irish singers are rubbish?
A very nasal performance
"Your face is like a cute potato" is my favourite comment so far
'Gravity' to get a boost pleaseeeee
SAY SOMETHING GO AWAY FOR GODS SAKE
Gravity is one of my favourite songs ever Niall gave that song exactly the sort of voice it needed. This Say Something guy was less good, I hate when a soft song like this is turned into a shouty belting song, I just think like Samantha last week if you really want to show your voice in that way, why not sing something that actually calls for that?
JANET THO YAAAAASSSSSS she was robbed in 2014!!!!
I don't remember this Janet whatsoever
Simon: "I was always praying you'd come back"
That's why you sent your producers to find her and ask her to audition again, isn't it
Janet, so glad she's back <3
A Sara Bareilles cover <3
As an aside, wtf at these things before the ads, is #75 smash Wild Horses by Birdy really that popular that everyone knows it well enough to sing along to?
Nice to see Janice again, I was surprised when she was swapped two years ago.
And seeing Joao in the TV ad
ITS OTTAVIO FROM COACH TRIP
Yass at the gays bringing the dramz
ITS BRADLEY FROM COACH TRIP AS WELL
!!!! #chickengate
JOG ON.COM
when did we step into hollyoaks
All over a piece of chicken This is the best thing on TV all month :')
I would say they're making a fool of themselves on TV but they've done that a few times already
I'm slain at that Ignition cover omg *.* Fierce
They were actually shit together I'm not being funny if that was two girls dressed normally they'd say it was boring and not good enough. 15 minutes of airtime about a bit of bloody chicken, for this :/
That was so funny all the drama over an uncooked chicken
3 drags auditioning
Louis: "I feel like I've seen it all before"
Simon: "I bet you have"
!!!
Simon
That chicken couple are this series' Jedward, the producers will demand they be in the Lives.
Don't think Simon really made a mistake with Janet, let's not forget he got 1st and 2nd in that particular series!
She's boring, and looks like she's just made a cake what with the apron
This girl is very very good!
The last audition I wouldn't know where to start or how to fit in, she be better off in theatre/ musical.
I've seen X Factor do sob stories over so many ridiculous things, but I didn't think CHICKEN would be one of them. Literally read like a parody show :')
She was FAR better than Ben lmao. Still don't know how on earth he won.
All That She Wants, talk about killing a classic.
Tweedledee and Tweedledum were actually pretty good
All That She Wants lady
The girl who sang 'Ex Factor' was great!
Probably helps than it's one of my favourite songs ever but she really was superb.
She was really great, a lovely Jhene Aiko sort of voice <3
A BREAK UP BEING A SOB STORY !!!! FFS
This dude doing Stand By Me has a spectacular voice - I feel as though he could do a big ballad.
Yeah liked him, similar to Simon Lynch from last year.
The guy that did Stand By Me, was alright, but nothing special.
That Russian model she is hot enough said
When you think you've seen everything, a doll walks on stage...
The living doll was incredible.
What was that funny enough I loved it she is nuts but its utterly different
That is something you don't see every day
That was incredible and so unique. Love her voice and the arrangement of the song!
The last 2 are my faves so far!
The doll reminded me of Chloe Jasmine a little, and we all know what happened with her...
That living doll was really unique and impressive (always turn this on in time for the weirdos it seems), great that she got through but she's definitely on the wrong show as she won't connect with the public if she gets to the lives. I'd love to hear her own independent music though.
Omg Sada was amazing! So nuts but the aesthetic was quite Melanie Martinez and I love her.
This girl is incred
Marianna is very talented for sure but a bit plain, if she was to win or get signed she'd just do a mothers day covers album or a haphazard Radio 2 adult contemporary album that still comes out for Mothers' Day.
It makes a mockery of actual bad things that happen to people like her domestic violence when they make sob stories out of uncooked chicken, relationship splits and "I live in a caravan"
I just find Marianna could do better on BGT, she has a great voice, she be better of in theatre/ musical production.
Marianna is good but it's a case of 'already seen that' - she's nothing new. Typical Mikey to comment on the Russian model :,)
The living doll was incredible! I feel she would've been better for BGT than X Factor though
Chanelle (or however you spell it) is my fave! Ex-Factor was such a great song choice, I swear if I hear Say Something one more time I'll slit my wrists
I've just realised what Sada's voice reminds me of - in the chorus she sounds like Cheryl's fave Raign
Has everyone seen the ridiculous scraping for a scandal over Sada being a "platinum artist" in Denmark? All because she wrote one Infernal song that happened to go platinum IN DENMARK. They're acting like she's been massive worldwide and shouldn't be on the show
LOL the media go craazy over any contestant who's had an inkling of success before, it's pathetic really but I guess we're all used to it now. There's been articles about Ryan Lawrie saying it's fixed because he won a competition to open for the Summertime Ball this year and has a single on iTunes
Cue clips on Mel B being nasty to awful singers
Omg the X factor Rick rolling us
Another returner, there've been tons of them this year. They always seem to have had a makeover as well
I love Mel's honesty as a judge, but she works better as a guest. It wears a bit thin and she is a horrendous mentor with her song choices, that was more evident on the Australian series (I know I say this every time!) but I wouldn't want her back full time necessarily.
Gifty was great, I loved the song for her and it was just the right amount of feeling and drama without being OTT or shouty.
Well obviously I like Mel...
YAASSSS GIFTY*.*
i would not get up at 5am for this
ARRRRGH NOT ONE DANCE
Oh ffs it really annoys me how EVERY boyband has the judges spaffing just because JLS and 1D did well Their vocals were so grating.
how would Nicole know about Harmonizing and dancing at the same time? are we meant to believe the other Dolls had their mics turned on?
Does that guy even talk?
"Husband & Wife?"
"He's my dad"
oops
oh nicole
INCEST
Well this could go 2 ways:
1. They're going to be really good
or
2. The Judges split them up
ARRRRGH NOT LOVE YOURSELF
Those two were decent but she'd get no further than maybe 6 chair challenge on her own. That's the thing I hate about the groups, because they don't have anywhere near as many as the boys, girls or even overs, the standard is a lot lower and really average groups can get further than really good solo acts. I know that's just the format of the show but eh.
Can we have someone who can sing now?
"I'm gonna sing a song called Friday night"
"What's it about?"
"It's about Friday night"
Omg my jam.
this would be better if he had his shirt off
kinda living tbh
Add this to the list of songs I'd rather have spend 15 weeks at #1 than Drake
Omg can this Friday night song get an iTunes release please. Number one smash in the waiting. *_*
Omg Friday Night
So glad Gifty is back, loved her last year!
Is he the new Cheeky Girls?
Creased!
He got through? The youtube video cuts off before.
Yes he did *.*
Millionaire being played on the sponsor
QUEEN
I bet Joseph'd like these guys.
Any number of guys with that same generic haircut will come in and do that exact bland generic performance and the judges wet themselves over these two, of course
Is this a returners' year or something? There seems to be an abnormal number of them this year
*waits for Melanie McCabe*
Omg that woman singing All THe Man That I Need was SO good! It was great to hear that for a change, one of the most underrated Whitney songs I think it's pathetic that people keep moaning about international acts, would they rather watch another boy with a guitar or a girl shouting her way through a soft song and ruining it just because they are British? I'd much rather see someone like Sada or the woman just now. I care about their talent not where they're from. British people have won X Factor in Australia and France, and The Voice in Germany and Netherlands, but that's never a problem only the bloody foreigners taking our jobs and our X Factor live show slots!11!!
Tbh Jamuna sang it better than Callum Scott. This James Arthur vocal wannabe can leave though, it sounds SO forced like he is trying to sound like the perfect "edgy" X Factor voice.
QUEEN
Jamuna could be the boost Calum Scott needs for a #1
'I'm a tart with a heart' though
Robyn deserves the boost
Can we please have a male singer who can actually comfortably "belt" please. PLEASE.
What's with all the comedy acts getting through though? I mean, they're all gonna get kicked out in the first round of Bootcamp
k imma need an instagram right now
her dad is daddy
And yet another returner...
"It says I love cockatoos" QUEEN
Enjoying this series except for the massive overload of "funny" acts. I'm never a fan of them anyway - I always prefer the series from bootcamp onwards - but I accept they are needed in moderation. However this series I feel like 80% of each show is being dedicated to the "funny" acts and I'd rather see actual talented people!
I'm embracing the funny ones more than ever, I'm trying not to get too invested in the good ones because they'll just flop and hurt me
Been renewed for THREE (!!!) more years! (BGT as well)
Eek. I'll only approve of this if there's a massive revamp due.
Oh, I had it in my head this would be the last series!
Yeah it needs a huge revamp/format change next year as this year's enjoyable, but only coming at it with the approach that it's clearly stuck in 2005 and appreciating it for what it is. I couldn't take another year of it exactly the same. Will be interesting to see what happens if the winner's single flops again. Obviously there's no issue if it's a smash, they'll just carry on as normal and take Forever Young as a fluke.
It definitely needs a revamp, I feel like BGT is somehow more tired than XF despite XF being more limited in theory, but then I haven't given a shit about BGT for like 5 years so I'm a tad biased. I don't think they drastically redo anything though, the ratings might be lower but ratings in general are and it's still a solid ratings high for ITV. I don't think the winner's single will ever smash again with streaming factored in, unless maybe they take a leaf out of X Factor Australia's book. 12 years and STILL we always get a dated ballad. XF Australia always has something current and specially tailored to the act, obviously sometimes that does happen to be a ballad but I'd kill for something like Good Night by Reece Mastin or What You've Done To Me by Samantha Jade. They can't really except a hit in 2016 out of a plain dated ballad cover that barely changes the original.
I am DELIGHTED at X Factor continuing, it's one of my favourite TV shows and I'm not ready for it to end yet! I quite like the idea that it's become comfort TV - you know exactly what you're getting these days and that's one of the charms of it really.
I agree with Joseph tbh.
A bit like Family Guy like that.
Bet you that that Sohelia (or whatever she's called) will have a rage/breakdown at Bootcamp
That girl group make NO sound like a christmas song
Really impressed with those 4 auditions, that last guy was really good, the girl that sang 99 Problems was also good, not so sure about the girl group they sounded alright, but vocally they need to improve.
QUEEEEEN
Guess what? ANOTHER RETURNER!
The X factor is becoming like the charts, you don't reach your peak when you first enter
No WAY at Will Rush auditioning he was my fave in Waterloo Road!
errr... what happened there, she was awful anyway
Btw, why did Simon know that cockatoo lady? Has she auditioned before?
its a singing contest
This wall thing is ridiculous, they should just let them sing what they want.
'Wake Me Up' getting used though Hopefully it climbs back to #1 on iTunes after the girl's amazing performance of it
'amazing'
Work From Home is the worst kind of song to sing at something like this
Work From Home was a mess
Not that that matters when they were all shouting over each other
Some.of these getting through aren't very good?
The standard isn't good this year.
I'm.seeing a lot of these for the first time, but surely Samantha is only 16 in X Factor years??
What's Ed Sheeran doing on the X Factor
I find it a bit fixed the fact that guy got the line about leaving his brother behind.
He's a good singer I guess but do we really need another faux emotional over affected male singer??
Scarl3t are TERRRIFYING
I really liked Tinuke's voice
One Sweet Day was a complete MESS
Saara is a good singer but JESUS woman nobody wants the Jessie J we HAVE, we don't need ANOTHER
Lol at Simon trying to feign ignorance!! As if he would let one DETAIL go unchecked in reality.
I can't with how staged this series has been so far, do the producers take the British public for idiots or something?! I mean most of them are but still...
Sam is the only good one out of this trio. I can't at the guy getting cheered on for forgetting his words
To be honest gruff dyslexic man was actually not half bad. Chain smoking mum of failed pop star fame was singing English I assume? I couldn't make out a word
I think The Overs are definitly the best category this year. I think they should make it 28 again so they can keep a lot of good ones
Can't believe they got rid of Friday Night man that iTunes impact...
When will Louis ever get the girls category...
I just hope Honey G and this year's Jedward get lost.
Well we never really saw anybody new...
I was really getting into this series until tonight. Chanal was my favourite and she got treated terribly, I hate how they just cut her bit out. I'm pretty she didn't get through. I was liking Gifty until now but that was terrible! I'm remembering why I didn't like her the last time
I've accepted that we're probably getting another Matt Cardle/James Arthur/Leon Jackson winner this year
Matt Terry seems like the obvious frontrunner at the moment, and certainly 'the one' as far as the producers seem to be concerned so far.
He seems a cut above the 100 'authentic boy with guitar and troubled soul' types so I'd be ok with that, he's got a great voice and seems very likeable.
Plus he'll get the dominant female vote for being good-looking & because he was dumped just before the auditions.
I fully agree, he seems like a real worthy front runner at the moment. Not so sure how he will be with all the themes though...
Totally agreed about the producers thinking we're stupid. You can already tell whose through to the live shows pretty much. Some of the set ups were awful tonight. Really can't believe Honey G could plausibly get to the lives..
my mum couldn't believe Honey G got sent through but I really think they're setting her up for the lives..
I'd be okay with Honey G being the joke act this year. It'd be refreshing as it's never been a female before who is seen as the joke act.
With Sharon in charge of the overs though, will she put Honey G through? If it was Louis then I could understand it better.
Wait, what am I saying, if the producers want her through then Sharon will have to do as they say
I quite love the juxtaposition of Sada Vidoo being so wacky and eccentric, yet her comfort zone being 80s/early 90s MOR like Love Is A Battlefield and Hold On. I really thought she'd be doing music like Kerli or something.
Paddy Power's top 12 atm
Great to see 2 groups in the top 5.
I just wish Ivy was much higher
Matt Terry 3/1
Caitlyn Vanbeck 9/2
The Brooks 6/1
5AM 10/1
Olivia Garcia 14/1
Emily Middlemas 14/1
Freddy Parker 14/1
James Wilson 14/1
Ryan Lawrie 20/1
Gifty Louise 20/1
Ivy Grace Paredes 25/1
Samantha Lavery 25/1
The Brooks are 6/1 really? they don't strike me as anything more than week 3 of the lives at best...
Really hope Caitlyn doesn't win (on current evidence), this year's Louisa Johnson far too overhyped.
Can't argue with that favourite, no Honey G tho?
lol at Honey G odds 100/1
Well, I think Sharon will choose Ivy, James and Honey G and her odds will increase a little more.
Matt Terry is the obvious winner of course. Thank God none of the boys reminds me of Ché Chesterman.
Christian Burrows needs to win. :,(
I've heard that Love Me Like You Do was ruined
you can't ruin what was shit in the first place
I think it's pretty clear by the amount of screen time she got she's in the lives.
(Caitlyn)
YASS GIFTY f*** THEM UP
I'm sorry but every one of those girls has been borderline shit tonight. Why do they all need to oversinging ever syllable and do look like they're having a STROKE
Gifts is a great singer, but that was just not very good
can the valley girl piss off now
Simon has made some shocking decisions so far. Half of those with seats shouldn't be there
At the end of the day I'm pretty certain he knew who his top 3 already were so the rest is just for "drama & entertainment"...
Wrong choice Simon, I know all the performances were crap tonight, but I think Samantha could have improved along the way, and why the f*** did he give a seat to Jordana she was pretty crap. Gifty could have been better but out of the lot so far, she far ahead from the rest.
i didn't know it was possible to make 'girls wanna have fun' this boring
Well if it was me, I send Emily, Gifty and Olivia into the finals out of those 6, but I think Carolyn is going to get there.
"mines also a ballad type style"......
Omg thr guy from Magherafelt (ie. A few miles from me) makes me laugh so much. His accent is too much.
Also Luca to do well please 😃
That was so needlessly dramatic
Christian basically SHOUTED 70% of that
Christian is insane. f***ing brilliant. Get him on a chase and status track.
Oh my god the boys category is so WEAK feel offended that they sent Ryan Lawrie home last week for most of these people
Harsh
this category is just pants.
Nicole is the ultimate troll
Niall Sexton gives me James Arthur vibes
I was at the boys 6 chair challenge and this is what I posted in the spoilers thread:
Obsessed with Christian, he's going from James Arthurs twin to Professor Green to Raleigh Ritchie in the space of one performance. I really hope he wins.
I think Nicole let all the right guys through looking at the 17/18 that made it from Boot Camp. However Simon was a bit hit and miss if you ask me Gifty, the blonde girl with the cap and the girl with the guitar were the only memorable ones... shame because the other 3 which should of gone onto Judges Houses out of that category each had a seat at one point.
The boys category is so bad. Sexton is the only one with a voice I can potentially enjoy listening to - if he gets through he seems like he could be one to have a massive moment in the lives.
I really despise Matt Terry and his smarmy aura. That whole fiasco of making him sing again and get more airtime was so eye-roll worthy.
I only care about one person out of the boys AND girls and that's Gifty.
Just here for Sada Vidoo from the overs now so if she's out (which let's face it, she probably will be because many will not "get" her), i'm really losing any interest I have in the contestants.
Just watched Sada's audition and she's quite amazing, isn't she? What a breath of fresh air among these bland clichés that nearly always dominate the categories. The thing that bothered me was the judges being so... erm... judgey about the way she looked before she event started. But then again I always knew Simon was an unbearable c**t so I'm not really surprised.
Yeah it made me feel quite uncomfortable. She's quite clearly sure of herself and who she is as an artist but as always they just grin and laugh at anyone that isn't textbook "popstar" material looks wise. She's a real stunner with a beautiful voice (and clearly a star going on her original material floating around on youtube) so EVERYTHING CROSSED this evening :'((
If matt gets to the finals he will do secret love song with little mix
Just caught up now and I have to say, THAT WAS SO PREDICTABLE. When there were two girls left, and there just happened to be two girls in seats who we hadn't seen before this stage...I wonder what could happen here?
Also, when Nicole made two of the most popular boys sing against this other, well obviously she wasn't going to send either of them home. Especially when that foreign guy they spent less than a minute on was still in a chair.
all the Leave voters booing a confident foreign woman
I reckon the teacher, the model and James will get dumped along the way, if they do get through, I can't see them getting any further after the Judges house.
QUEEN
Honey G for the win
Well winning A CHAIR anyway
TAKE ALL THE SEATS QUEEN
omg
what
Did all thr surgery cause Saron to GO DEAF?
Nooooooooooooooo! The only decent 'novelty' type of act that they've ever had and she's gone!!!
She'll be back as a wildcard or something somehow, surely?!!
''real good ones coming up''
bitch who?
Sada and Honey G are the only overs who have had an inspired song choice. They are all being very predictable / cliche
Nicole made the right decision on this one....
Someone please grab this bitch by the hand and direct her to THE MELODY
out of tune/burpy much?
Either Sharon is making even worse choices than usual, or the overs are even more of a clusterf*** than usual becsuse right now this is a whole heap of shit
Thank f*** Honey G did not get a chair.
This guy's voice is too thin for this song
sia is the only one who should sing Alive. she's the only one who can
oh for f*** sake
This was the first time I kind of liked Rebecca, but her voice isn't as strong as the others
Annie Lennox would be turning in her HIV positive mung bean lesbian t shirt coffin, yet that's the best she's ever been
That was kind of...unexpected?
Correct decision, she didn't hold the song together well enough at all and that track could have been a beautiful choice.
Honey G 😔
dyslexic white guy with guitar should have been booted with Honey G getting it instead
In a way, I am kind of glad they broke that boot-camp trio up. I feel they have been the main focus for the past 2 weeks in terms of the overs
Rebecca is a total Jenny from human resources.
Sada looking pressed.
Saara was so much better there than bootcamp
YES FIGHT BACK QUEEN
Sharon is ruthless tonight, kind of unexpected
awww poor Saara
that was vaguely racist
Talk about blewing it by singing in French silly girl
Oh here we go, X Factor never fails to lower the bar
im out. what a crock of shit
Didn't see that one coming, he was awful
BOO
URGH.
This is going to SHIT.
do the british public hate anything a tiny bit unusual and different?
this could actually be the worst series yet
What a mess, should have been the other guy.
This sounds very Karoake, cruise ship performance.
She was amazing, it's such a shame the visa issues f***ed her over
Sada Vidoo >>>>>>
She HAS to be good
Re the adverts... why would anyone be surprised to find ITV shows on the ITV app?!!!
Please be good.
have they really performed really well sharon
The overs are a mess this year.
She might have been a little off but she was still better than half the people with chairs!
That was a mess
oh good a group with a guitar
wud bang most of them tho
Sharon didn't make that an easier with those BIZARRE decisions
They were SHIT, but has Louis ever said no to a boy band?
omg the incest group
I like The Brooks'
yes hunties
Its a joke too far....
Otavio speaking the truth tho
Louis will put them through
Milkshake for #1 on iTunes please
Ha... had a crystal ball
these vox.....
What are vox?
Jamelia relevance
4 of Diamonds the new Little Mix *.*
why do english people put random Ls in place they shouldn't be? its not Laurla
Girl Next Door are playing the sexy card with the wrong guy...
That girlband was horrendous lmao
Omg are they SERIOUS
wait at Louis NOT being tone deaf for once
oh thats just mean
Are you kidding, over the two fairies
That funeral chic ~~
WTF? Should've sent home Group #1
Those harmonies are actually really really good
i wouldn't sleep with any of them.
Yes they were okay - certainly better than the first group anyway.
omg NO CHICKEN TWINKS
Thank god.
Thank f*** he got the QUEENS out, they were laughable. And not in a good way.
Thank f***...
literally all the fun people have been kicked off for beige blandness
Are you joking??? Uncooked chicken sent home
NO chicken tonight
This series will be the most dull yet :')
Glad the foil boys have gone. If we're having a fun act then Honey G is the ONLY one I want.
i bet if sada wasnt a doll she'd be the fav to win.
That was dull
oh ffs
YES
Louis clueless as always
Oh f***. Right. Off.
omg living for the mess
not living for this tho
YASSSS THEY BACK
Another mess
Oh my God this is the absolute worst
f*** at him switching them with the people who he replaced them with. the utter brutality*.*
This is such a MESS.
Well that awful band are out.
LIVING FOR THIS
Louis is such a TEASE
I really hated this band in the earlier rounds
I say I'm hating this but obviously I am living for the shit hitting the fan fakery of it all
Okey, that was a good decision.
I would put out the two queens
THIS UTTER f***ERY
SCREAMING
This is very Sexist
Omg Girl Next Door must be FUMING. It's like a revolving door of BS.
Why can't he send The Brooks home, they are clueless
Naturally Louis has once again delivered on the CRAZY
Louis is the best judge ever
That surely is a new low for trampling over contestants for the sake of 'entertainment'?!!! :/
who cares when they were shit?
4 wildcards.. already!!!??
But seriously, Louis Walsh just makes X Factor. That was brilliant.
Rylan is really tall
I would go for 5AM, 4 of Diamonds and probably Scarlet through to the finals, really surprised Yes Lads went out though, I also feel the Queens might end up through to the lives for entertainment value a la Jedward, oh well they will go out at some point.
I think 4 of Diamonds are the better girl group out of all the girl bands.
Honey G is back!
Wilcards have been revealed as Samantha Lavery, Yes Lad, Saara Alto and Ryan Lawrie
*Joseph and Ryan wet themselves*

My predictions and wishes are coming shortly!
Honey G to win!!!
The producers won't have missed her online and Twitter hype and will make sure she's in for the libes.
Thought that said Cosmic Rot!!!
WANT
Boys: Christian, Niall, Ryan
Girls: Caitlyn, Emily, Olivia
Groups: 5AM, The Brooks, Skarl3t
Overs: Janet, Relley, Saara
THINK
Boys: Christian, Matt, Ryan
Girls: Caitlyn, Emily, Gifty
Groups: Bradley & Ottavio, The Brooks, Skarl3t
Overs: Honey, James, Janet
I'm sure unsure on who to predict through because, as we saw at six chairs, a song choice can totally make or break someone (like most of the boys category lol) but this is who I *want* through:
Boys
Freddy Parker (he has POtential so I'm pinning my hopes on a good judges' houses performance for him, his audition was good but six chairs was weak)
Matt Terry (although they are pushing him so hard it's starting to get a bit annoying lol)
Ryan Lawrie (obv)
Girls (easy category, all three are fantastic)
Caitlyn Vanbeck
Emily Middlemas
Gifty Louise
Groups (Tom & Laura as my 4th choice, this is surprisingly strong, although we're bound to get the chicken duo ughhh)
5AM
The Brooks
Skarl3t
Overs (we're bound to get Honey G here, I won't be against her as a novelty act as far as they go I must say lol)
Janet Grogan
Relley C
Saara Alto (although I'm not against foreign language songs, her 2nd performance at six chairs was super awkward as it just wasn't the right song for the moment, regardless of language - hopefully with mentoring she can avoid that kinda mistake lol)
Who is the living doll? I want her through along with Honey G.
After spendig DO MUCH TIME!! in auditions on novelty this year, it only makes sense that they continue with the entertainment side of it and have a lot of nobelty acts go through.
Let's be honest though, I can only see 1x novelty act. Honey G/B&O fighting it out.. though I guess it really does depend on how many final acts we have.
Putting Skarl3t through would be a big mistake too. The public are going to hate them.
what a f***ing joke
Final 28
Boys (not really that bothered to be honest, the boys category is pretty bad)
Christian Burrows
Matt Terry
Nate Simpson
Girls
Emily Middlemas
Gifty Louise
Olivia Garcia (really hard one to call she has got potential)*
Samantha Lavery (Same as above, can be a nightmare to work with though)*
* I reckon its between those 2, but Caitlyn Vanbeck could be in with a shout over them
Groups
5AM
Four Of Diamonds
Tom & Laura
I have a feeling Bradley & Ottavio (Chicken Tonight) will get through for entertainment value, Louis has got a thing for joke acts now and than, cough Jedward cough)
I just hope Scarlet don't get through, I still think 4oD are a very strong girl band
Overs
Janet Grogan
Relley C
Saara Aalto (Still not sure about her, but I would prefer Sam over her)
Samantha Atkinson
I can't see James in the lives unfortunately, he will get pretty nervous, I do like him though but I do find his vocals a bit rough.
Honey G I don't think Sharon will put her through to be honest, one joke act in the final will be enough. Two joke acts is really pushing the barrel out.
The chicken guys are obviously going through if Louis' mentor's interview is anything to go by
This is a really lacklustre year, the boys in particular is a horrendous category. My thoughts as I've had to catch up the past couple of weeeks:
Boys:
Horrible category all in all, especially Christian and Freddie. I just do not get them at all. The only one I particularly like is Niall but he's nothing outrageously special. Matt is ok but I'm fed up of them pushing him
Girls:
All pretty much solid but I don't really love any of them as such, I'd say Gifty is probably my favourite. Olivia and Caitlyn are great too. I still can't fully get behind Emily, I don't find that exciting or special at all but I'm certain she'll be the cool/quirky one in he top 3. I just pray Gifty gets there, she really has that X Factor and seems quite down to earth and likeable as well, although I feel like she'd inevitably come like 9th. I can't stand Sohelia, her attitude is really off putting and I don't think she's really that good to back it up either. I really don't think there's a winner here.
Groups:
Pretty bad as always, the only one I really would care about is Skarl3t but I don't like their atttudes. I guess Tom & Laura are nice enough/cute but eh. The boybands are horrendous, I just can't. A hopeless category anyway
Overs:
Definitely the strongest category for me - any 3 of Relley, Saara, Samantha, Janet and Honey G would be great! I doubt Sharon will choose all males though, I expect James will make it and then Honey G for the novelty factor (although I expect Louis will choose Cosmic Riot or w/e they're called as well), and then one of the "proper" female overs.
I can't see Bradley & Ottavio making the final. Over everything, their attitude is awful
Boys
Christian Burrows
Matt Terry
Niall Sexton
Girls
Caitlyn Vanbeck
Gifty Louise
Olivia Garcia
Groups
Four Of Diamonds
Skarl3t
Yes Lad
Overs
Relley C
Saara Aalto
Samantha Atkinson
These are the ones I'd like to see more of , I thought the Overs was quite strong until some messed up and didn't get a chair, I would not of brought Honey G back but it was so obvious they would somehow, Louis and the Groups was a total mess, some good groups being left out for Ottavia & Bradley!! and The Brooks!!, The boys seem quite strong but getting James Arthur, Matt Cardle winner vibe off them, The girls seem strong and would be quite happy to take more of them through and get rid of a few others ;-)
I think it's gonna be:
Girls-
Emily Middelmas
Samantha Lavery
Gifty Louise
Overs-
Reilly C
Honey G
Sara Alto
Boys-
Matt Terry
Freddy Parker
Ryan Lawrie
Groups-
5am
The Brooks or Yes Lad
Cosmic Riot
Sara Vidoo: "I'm here to fight for my right to be different".
*is out*
😞
What a great to send out there. You sing really well but your persona is too out there so byeeeee see you next time when you've come to your senses and wore normal clothes and showed us some tits or something I mean we can't sell THAT.
Sad sad sad
Wow 8 pages in one night? A far cry from Saturday's show!
Anyway the Overs category was an absolute disaster on a personal view, all the acts I cared for were kicked out. Had to laugh at the crowd when Saara sang that French track, obvious the crowd were predictably gonna hate it. Was clear they wouldn't put Honey G through so that didn't bother me but I really thought Sharon would keep Sada *sigh* Just hope that blonde bitch doesn't get through to Lives can't stand her at all.
As for the Groups well that category was dead & buried the moment the show started. No one there who would even get half way through the lives. Glad he (eventually) got rid of that group who sang Drag Me Down they were terrible. Inevitable they would keep the chicken dudes by virtue of bringing them back for the "drama". I thought Yeslad were actually the best group vocally but it was fluke, they just picked a great song.
OK so I just read here that Honey G is back in all is forgiven.
So gutted at the Overs decisions. My two favourites were Anelisa and Sada and both are out (and not even offered wildcards over bloody Honey G and Saara who I can't stand).
My predictions for lives are as follows -
Girls:
Caitlyn Vanbeck
Gifty Louise Agyeman
Olivia Garcia
(Emily Middlemass as outside contender)
Boys:
Christian Burrows
Matt Terry
Nate Simpson
(Niall Sexton as outside contender)
Overs:
Samantha Atkinson
Christopher Peyton
Relley C
(tbh this category it could be any of them, so hard to predict)
Groups:
5AM
The Brooks
Yes Lad
(Skarl3t being outside contender, can really see him taking through all the boys this time tbh)
Predictions for the moment:
Girls: Gifty, Emily, Caitlyn (who coincidentally have all been in the X Factor before)
Boys: Matt, Christian & Ryan
Groups: 5AM, Tom & Laura, The Brooks
Overs: James, Chris & Honey G (although I'd like it to be the three returners)
Gutted at Sada not being chosen as a wildcard! She was easily the most talented and interesting contestant for me this year.
Really glad that Honey G was brought back though. Such a guilty pleasure. *.*
so sad coz of Sada, such a brilliant doll!
her cover of Love is a Battlefield is BRILLIANT so glad that there's studio version and video
The 12 I'd want for the final:
BOYS
Niall Sexton
Christian Burrows
Nate Simpson
GIRLS
Gifty Agyeman
Emily Middlemas
Olivia Garcia
OVERS
Honey G
Relley C
Samantha Atkinson
GROUPS
5am
Bradley & Ottavio
Skarl3t (they'd be hated though, so I think it'd be a mistake)
why does the UK hate confident black women/women in general
Bradley & Ottavio aren't even a LIKEABLE or FUNNY novelty act, at least Jedward, Wagner, Rylan had that going for them. If they get through - which they will as it is Louis after all - then they are bottom two first week. At least Honey G is sort of likeable.
Who I want in the final 12!:
BOYS:
James Hughes
Matt Terry
Nate Simpson
GIRLS:
Caitlyn Vanbeck
Olivia Garcia
Samantha Lavery
OVERS:
Honey G
Relley C
Saara Alto
GROUPS:
4 Of Diamonds
The Brooks
Tom And Laura
Wildcards: (if there are any)
Christian Burrows
Gifty Agyeman (I wouldn't mind Emily either)
Samantha Atkinson
Ottavio And Bradley
I can't even remember who's who & what all their names are but from the boys I'd want Matt Terry through, the girls I really don't care apart from hoping Caitlyn & that arrogant one doesn't get through. The overs well it's all about Honey G & the groups are all terrible from what I've seen so far.
5AM are easily the most polished and ready band, an easy choice.
I really hope 4oD do really well. I like 'em
Lol at ALESHA! Talk about barrel scraping
They are really like a bunch of pansies, they are entertainment, but they are not winners
God I HATE those Queens so much but you just know Louis is going to put them through for the lolz
Wow they have to go through. Best act ever.
So only 5AM, B&O & 4oD get their own segments, that to me says they're the final 3.
Also Hey Ya is an atrocious song choice...
I mean they are super arrogant little shits, but I'm not going to complain about seeing the Brooks on my screen for some time
4oD slaying a little again
WORK!
OK so they were probably the best group there, but no one is going to vote for them.
That's the best I've seen on 4 Of Diamonds, they just seem a bit anonymous as people and I can't imagine ever being particularly excited by them. But I'd like 5am, Bradley & Ottavio and 4 Of Diamonds after that.
This should quite easily be 5AM and the two girl bands, by far the 3 standouts. If Louis didn't want 2 girlbands then The Brooks or Tom & Laura would both be ok choices talent-wise, but Yes Lad and Ottavio & Bradley should be nowhere near consideration.
Out of those I pick Tom & Laura, 5AM and 4 of Diamonds
Ah so maybe the Brookes have got it then.
