Such a shame 'High' never got picked up by UK radio, it could have been a big hit if so (even with the very delayed release). It shall remain an unknown gem.

Peking Duk doesn't look like it's gonna do anything Hate to be a steve201 but it was annoying how long this was held back over here, most countries had it last summer didn't they?! Woop Ellie nonetheless Perfect replacement for Uptown Funk and it kind of already sounds like a modern classic, this won't be gone any time soon. Why thanks!! |

Absolutely adore the song, don't think I've been so hooked on a song for quite a while, so YAAAY for it smashing and it'll hopefully get quite a few weeks.

I hate that this average whiny singer is being further encouraged. The successes of the likes of Ellie Goulding and Ed Sheeran proves that basic 'talent' sells.

Surely singers who write their own songs should be given more credit than, say, boybands, who chart almost entirely on their looks? 12. Mike Mago & Dragonette "Outlines"
21. Kodaline "Honest" Really wish Kodaline had decided to release a single version of "Honest", I doubt it'll make T40 now as I imagine the focus is on album pre-orders. |

Surely singers who write their own songs should be given more credit than, say, boybands, who chart almost entirely on their looks? And since when have I ever stated preference to boybands? I like singers who write their own songs, I just think that the two examples I gave were successful but not particularly good in my opinion. I really hope Love Me Like You Do knocks Uptown Funk off number one, it's been there quite long enough now. I don't want a new 1992.

Kodaline up to 20 now. Shows how significant pre-orders are in the first few hours of the week.

I really Love Me Like You Do knocks Uptown Funk off number one, it's been there quite long enough now. I don't want a new 1992. I think it is pretty much guaranteed to do that- I calculate that she started with about 30K pre-orders which should be more than enough to make up for her lack of streaming. Incidentally if "Love Me Like You Do" is big enough it could replicate Mark Ronson's run at #1 and make it a 'new 1992' that you are wishing against. |
