Hey hey, long time no see biggrin.gif So you mixed/edited your entry yourself? It's really cool. I'm inspired by your creativity and self-belief in doing that. I had an album out last year and I was tempted to enter something from it but I couldn't have stood to see it bomb :/ Maybe my next release...

You had an album out? Wow!!! What was it?

My involvement in this track is way less than that, I feel it is being overstated haha! I only sequenced, chopped, layered and mixed the tracks together - I didn't actually produce any of it myself or anything!

Hey, sorry for not getting back to you sooner. Yep, I had an album out earlier in the year with an industrial/synth-pop project called D. Lorean, which was called Speaking For The Creatures in a dual reference to the Siouxsie side project and the Italo disco group. It’s qhite well written if I did say so myself but it was recorded in a mate’s bedroom studio and it’s rarher lo-fi. That said it kinda sounds right up your street laugh.gif

Speaking of lo-fi synth pop, keep your eyes peeled for a PM biggrin.gif

Nope! Unless you don’t like the track of course.

It’s quite old now but I’ve been finding myself listening to it a lot again... I’d say it is most like an Aeroche or Botanikka entry maybe.

He's back! This time with the track that made me first fall in love with him, the adorable mutt.

Plus hark at this, my first ever video on Youtube! ohmy.gif I'm well and truly channeling 2006 *.*

I'm pleased to see that whoever was holding the FLJ entry selection process hostage and forcing them to pick dull Radio 2 filler has gone away again! This is a proper banger. Liking it a lot more than the last Rex The Dog entry from you.

Oh yay I'm pleased that we're back in favour with the Persephonian jury!

I really love this track, I've almost entered it about 20 times since I joined BJSC but then always ended up swapping it out for something more current as I'd assumed most people would already know it - I'm slowly learning that my gage for what people would and wouldn't know is actually seriously off!

I know Rex The Dog best for his remix of Tony The Beat in 2007!

Oh and the fact that he is none other than JX (Jake Williams) - There's Nothing I Won't Do, You Belong to Me, Son of a Gun etc etc. Yay for this making it. : )

Actually in retrospect, I think Tony the Beat may have been my introduction to Rex too as a remixer - it was huge back on ChC!

But there’s nothing I won’t do though - that’s surely his best in any guise, yeah yeah (a ha) it was definitely one of my fave 90s tracks

104 // G Flip // About You

This may well need a few plays but it is such a grower of a tune! She made it herself and plays everything too, lovely video set in her bedroom also and the sheer joy when she plays the bass and the drums is just adorable. wub.gif

YBO // FLJ

Misleading thumbnail alert! So cue mass disappointment... laugh.gif

However hopefully a few of you will approve, it was either this or Agnes Obel/Christine as my most loved entries.

I had the exact opposite reaction to that! Never really cared for 'Say Something' but 'Experience' was great and I've needed a reason to listen to it again. x

I have a feeing we at FLJ may have made a slight error of judgment with this one but hey let's just own it! We've opted for a electronic track from quite a few years back that sounded great in the sun the other day when it randomly came on - I hadn't heard it in years and it seemed quite the refreshing change compared to everything else I've been listening to of late - let's hope you agree!

(ps it annoys me that the video is slightly out but I cba to re-do it!)
