So these are the nations that loved us the most this year, with a bit of added commentary for the top 10.


1. Bøtanikkä (59 points)
Climbing to #1 this year, Bøtanikkä were our biggest fans (unfortunately we are unable to say the same back again this year, more on that later). They pointed 6 out of our 7 total finalists in 2017, the only exception being Q-Benjamin in 97. They overtook Cadelicia in the very last contest, the full complement of 18 points edging them ahead by a narrow margin of 2 points.

2. Cadelicia (57 points)
Another strong inlay of points from Cadelicia in 2017, also a nation to point us in all but one outing, this time being 93's Tash Sultana. They gave us the full maximum in the following 94 (for Mariko) and generally remained a consistent fan throughout the year, only being denied top spot by Bøtanikkä after the final contest.

3. Desbuanda (47 points)
Rising all the way up to third this year is Desbunda, who feature this high despite only pointing 3 of our finalists! This thanks in part to being the only nation to send us 18 points on 2 occasions (in 94 & 97). A further 11 in 93 puts them very much into the "point big when point" category.

4. Aeroche (45 points)
The #1 nation of 2017 also turned into a more prominent Dobago fan this year, pointing over half of our finalists and when doing so, normally pointing big including a hefty haul of 39 points in our last 3 finals.

5. South Danaelanda (44 points)
Our biggest fans last year slide to 5th this time round, however they likely would have been higher had our first entry of the year Flamenco qualified as we know they were a big fan of that! Nonetheless S DNLD were the last of 3 countries to point us in all but one contest, their exception being 96's Lindsey Stirling.

6. Harmonica (43 points)
A nation we weren't expecting to see so high but are extremely pleased they feature here are Harmonica. Very much similar to Desbuanda, just the 3 finalists were pointed but they were all large hauls, including a full maximum in 96.

7. Cor Lupus (42 points)
Now a long-standing Dobago fan in the form of Cor Lupus, pointing 5 of our 7 finalists this year. They were our third highest pointers last year & could very well have been up there this year too, as our fallen hero DJ Yakir Ganon received healthy points from them in its respective Semi & potentially were on course for a nice chunk had he qualified.

8. St. Burbia (41 points, 4 contests)
Rising into the top 10 this year we see St. Burbia, a nation we have shared strong points with to & fro in recent times. They just edge ahead of Buzzjack Mountain by virtue of pointing one more finalist and were in fact featuring in the top 3 before 2 blanks in the last contests.

9. Buzzjack Mountain (41 points, 3 contests)
The newest nation to appear in our top 10, Buzzjack Mountain didn't point us in either of their finals last year but offered us strong support on 3 occasions this year, including a surge of 23 points in the last 2 contests, propelling them up into the top 10 here.

10. Bhangra (36 points, 5 contests)
Rounding off the top 10 & just edging ahead of the now sadly defunct Zanmatony by virtue of pointing us on 2 more occasions are Bhangra. They were one of only five countries to point us in at least 5 finals this year & proved a steady supply of points without any top, top scores.
