11th: Poison
12 Votes Next to leave us and falling out in 11th position is the brilliant 'Poison'. The song is about "having something to complain about and pretending to have the upper-hand on someone, it's about knowing the truth and keeping it moving" according to the legend herself. It's one of my faves and I'm gutted it's not top 10. It's quite an interesting pop song. The chorus is catchy, but wordy. Which is odd for a pop song of this ilk usually, but the chorus really soars into a moment. The track was the follow up to the huge #1 smash 'I Will Never Let You Down' (ignoring the collabs in between) and it went on to become a top 3 hit and has sold over 400k! Results so far: 11th - Poison (Round 6) 12th - Coming Home (Round 5) 13th - Body On Me (Round 4) 14th - Hot Right Now (Round 3) 15th - Shine Ya Light (Round 2) 16th - New York Raining (Round 1) 17th - Lay Down Your Weapons (Round 1) Vote for your least favourite! |

Not gutted about losing Poison, I would've been gunning for it after Radioactive anyway (which I have voted for once again, it absolutely MUST go this time)
