As ever with the odds, I automatically scroll to the bottom to see where I am. Couldn't see me anywhere. Thought I must have been accidentally left out....but no, 14/1!!! ohmy.gif ohmy.gif ohmy.gif

Pretty certain that's my best odds ever! But I'm still not convinced I'll be giving up my DNQ crown just yet laugh.gif

I think Crystal Castles seem to be in an ideal semi looking at some of the countries in it! Would be very shocked if it DNQed

Really rooting for Crystal Castles to maybe even finally be a top 10 for Tartford?

Not heard the semi 2 songs yet but from semi 1 Trifoski was the one that stuck out most as a winner contender (so agreed with the top semi 1 pick in Rich's odds). Maybe Summericia as well, I expect they'll do very well although perhaps they might lose a few points from sending the English version. And I think Ojnoj are continuing to be on a roll, 4 top 10s on the trot very possible?? I liked it much more than I normally like songs of that ilk.

Of course if we go by plug.dj getting the winner correct, Saor are coming to win the semi biggrin.gif (nah)

Yes you're probably quite right about Ojnoj, I was thrown off the scent by Rob's DNQ prediction for the track so put it a little lower down than I probably should have.

But yeah, Trifoski definitely seem like the most likely biggest hit from the semi to me, but maybe you're on course for a historic semi victory *.*

terra avium is one of those ones i'd have RIGHT at the top of my odds with trifoski but i don't know if it'll stretch far enough, but it could be the right kind of epic and refreshing enough from all the samey stuff to rly be a hit

I think those odds are v accurate, Trifoski seem to be the ones to beat this month though it could easily be Aeroche, Ramrynia or Quintessa as well. Ojnoj I'd say are too high, I'm sure the song will be top 10 but I don't think it has enough cross appeal to win.

I thought Ojnoj sounds like the perfect thing to draw all of the pop votes - sometimes you only need a little bit of appeal from across the house and with many of the staunchest non-pop countries sitting this month out, I'd probably be putting it very near the top if I'd done odds.

It won't win but Ojnoj is one of the most certain top 10s I feel.

I'll do odds for the final probably but Quintessa is the one I'm feeling as a winner atm.

Maybe it'll do worse for sounding like a "Spotify hit" (which is one of the most ridiculous criticisms of a song I've known) but I'm surprised Bellamia aren't getting better odds. Sounds like the electro pop type stuff that typically does well and it's actually a fantastic example of it.

Completely overlooked Quintessa, though my odds were pre-Plug. It reminds me of a few songs from the past few years that have done very well (Caravan Palace) and not so well (can't remember their name/country but I'm sure a similar sounding song made the final in the past year but then finished quite low). I guess that Plug reaction does suggest an almighty smash though.

Trifoski really stands out, I've thought this about Not Enough for weeks but it never crossed my mind to send it. That being said, I'm wondering if there are enough fans of this retro New Jack Swing New Kids On The Block/Bobby Brown type retro sound to take it all the way.

Also, yassss at 12/1! *.* Danse Avec Moi has been in my potentials for a year, I always intended to send it this summer at some point. Top 20 would be fantastic.

On plug Quintessa did follow a run of songs no-one was really feeling as much tho which could've made people more likely to woot.

Still it's one I'd imagine to do well along with Hushkanukia and maybe Bøtanikkä

Plus as we've mentioned before, 15 woots could mean 15 lots of 1 or 2 points. But I wasn't there to see the comments while it was playing, which are usually as good if not better an indicator as to how well something might do. Plug got Haide right last month so the results should be taken seriously I think.

80/1 Beaverdonia: Nikola Rachelle Bedingfield - Sirens
90/1 Bignia-Zaragovina: Frankie Grande - Queen
100/1 Triangledonia: Lynz Munich - We Are Balloons

I actually think Ramrynia will underperform the average odds and Kluminican Republic will be a winner contender instead! Also at first I wasn't thinking about Ojnoj as a winner contender but now I'm starting to get Bonnie Anderson - Unbroken teas. Everyone down to D'yermak'er should be a shoo-in for top 10.

I'm gonna end up being a shock DNQ or qualify by the skin of my teeth and finish bottom 5.

Calling it right now: Dragonette will be the dark horse contender.
