So we're two more tracks in then... Three Four has grown on me since it was first put out and I'm liking the production and harmonies, Don't Look Over Your Shoulder is a bit generic for me at this point and I'm not seeing that growing past standard album track filler... and overall I'm disappointed that nothing is living up to the standard or the interesting structure of Love Lasts Forever. After All is the best thing they've done since Saints & Sinners |

I haven't heard After All - is it out there?
edit: I've just listened to the live clip on youtube and it sounds good but still not in the same league as Love Lasts Forever, I'll wait until I hear a studio version before making my mind up though This post has been edited by dandy*: 13th July 2018, 10:51 AM |

Beyond excited for the release of this next week. 'Love Lasts Forever' and 'Glorious' have been on loop since they released them, and I'm loving the sound of 'After All' and 'Don't Look Over Your Shoulder'. Hopefully another tour will be in the offing as I loved their last tour for 'Red Flag' - best gig I've ever been to.
They are on Sunday Brunch next weekend on Channel 4, and on This Morning either this week or next. |

Looks like you're in luck! I'll be going to the Manchester date for my birthday weekend Aaah I've just seen! Happy birthday for December I'm gonna do Norwich this time I think. They're also performing live on Chris Evans' breakfast show on Radio 2 on Friday! Metro, Sunday Times Culture and The Independent have all given it four or five star ratings - can't wait till Friday now. This post has been edited by ThePensmith: 23rd July 2018, 07:41 PM |

Listening to it right now. Very 6.5/10 at first listen. Solid but lacking a bit of 'oomph'. It reminds me of a weaker Red Flag with some oldskool Saints ('Pure shores' influences mostly). Hope it will grow some more as I enjoyed Red flag!
The lead single, 'Testament in motion' and 'I would' are my favourites for now. |

After All and Testament In Motion are just so good. Where was this production on MDNA?!

A few listens in and I'm enjoying Three Four, Love Lasts Forever, After All, I Would and Testament In Motion in particular. The rest are okay enough too, there's nothing as bad as the lows on Red Flag but as a whole I'm not enjoying it quite as much as I did the last one.

Been streaming the album a lot and I love it just as much as Red Flag.
Such polished grown up pop - tragic that they won’t get the sales they deserve. |

Just seen it’s only #20 on iTunes I’m sure Red Flag was Top 3 on iTunes on release, really hope this is not going to be a 18-out kinda album for them as I don’t think they’ll bother with follow ups if so as RF didn’t exactly set the charts alight either.

I dunno, I can't imagine they were expecting that much from the album but I'd agree it would be a shame if it didn't make the top 10 in this climate.
I would imagine the success level of the tour would be more of a deciding factor. This post has been edited by dandy*: 29th July 2018, 03:05 PM |

Chart placement and sales aren't a factor at all. The cost of promotion and production of the album itself was actually pretty 'cheap', as was the last record. They make their money from touring, events and festivals. They'll keep going for as long as they want really - as long as there is still some fan demand and acclaim.

Everything they've done since the Backstreet Boys tour four years ago has been pretty much self funded, with Fascination/Absolute's backing. My review is up on my blog now - https://wp.me/p4UO9N-132. This is a record I can't sing the praises of more if I tried, it's that good. I saw someone on Twitter on Friday say there's few bands who can come up with stuff to better what they did 20 years ago when those songs in themselves were good. All Saints are one of them without question. |

Very good album, there is admittedly more filler that I will probably skip past than there was on Red Flag, however the highs are nearly on par with the highs on that album - Love Lasts Forever and Glorious have not been off my playlists since I first heard them and Footprints, After All and in particular Testament In Motion will be joining them <3

#10 in the mids - hope that means it’s safe for Top 20 this week although it’s going to be very front loaded.
