I initially thought that Take That song was Jimmy Nail but it's another one that clicked after I figured out the theme.
Loooove 'Chocolate' a bit underrated in the grand scheme of Kylie's discography. I definitely know 'There You'll Be' but couldn't identify it oops. |

Q18
David Guetta vs The Egg - Love don't let me go (Walking away) #3, 2006 One of the most prolific chart stars of the late 00s and early 10s, David Guetta has more than his fair share of exposure in this quiz. The original version of this flopped back in 2002 but this was a mash up incorporating “Walking away” by The Egg, an electronica band. Correct answers: 22/25 4 points: garyfeld, Mangø, chrissmith276, jimwatts, Dobbo., dan::G, Bjork, paulglib, n4yr, PeteFromLeeds, StoneDragon, Jade, coi, Chez Wombat, LewisGT, Ansel, dandy*, CJK, Mack., vibe, uptempo_owww!, awardinary I think this one has become a real club classic and hence it was one of the most correctly answered. |

Q19
Hot Chocolate - So you win again #1, 1977 This was Hot Chocolate’s only #1, though “You sexy thing” has become more well known due its use in a certain film and has 183 million Spotify plays to “So you win again”’s 11 million. The two intros sound quite similar, which I thought might help some of you get it. Correct answers: 13/25 4 points: garyfeld, Mangø, chrissmith276, jimwatts, dan::G, paulglib, n4yr, StoneDragon, coi, King Rollo, dandy*, CJK, Mack. This was the oldest song in the quiz and so was never going to be particularly well guessed, but enough of you got it to foil Riser’s bet that it would be the least answered. |

For me, that's the 3 best David Guetta songs here in this quiz!

And now I can confirm that #13 was indeed the most well answered - hence 5 points go to jimwatts and Mack.
But what of #20 - did it get fewer than the 11/25 managed by CJ Lewis? Indeed, only 9 of you got this one! So the following receive 5 points for predicting that: Mangø, chrissmith276, jimwatts, paulglib, StoneDragon, Jade, King Rollo, LewisGT, dandy* |

Q20
Marillion - Easter #34, 1990 I don’t know much about the song itself other than it’s apparently about the Northern Irish troubles. To me it seems a rather dreary 6 minute listen but I believe King Rollo’s a fan so don’t want to upset him with my ignorance! How many of the 9 who got it recognised it before figuring out the connection I wonder? Correct answers: 9/25 4 points: garyfeld, chrissmith276, Bjork, StoneDragon, coi, King Rollo, dandy*, CJK, LiamSime |

I thought #20 would avoid being the least guessed purely because people could work it out from the theme (like myself) rather than it being well known! Certainly wouldn't have called Rabbit being the one with the most correct guesses at all.

As for the connection:
I gave you: 5 song titles to do with sweet things, plus a Hot Chocolate song 5 religiously themed song titles, plus an artist called Faith 5 chick or rabbit themed song titles A song with a featured artist called The Egg And finally #20 not only fitted the connection but was the connection. Hence it was the most obscure and the most obvious answer at the same time. And so the connection was that the artist or title had something to do with Easter! As this was the Easter week quiz I thought that would be a nice theme. I gave full points for anything mentioning Easter. An impressive 19 of you got the 5 points for this: garyfeld, Mangø, chrissmith276, jimwatts, Bjork, paulglib, n4yr, Riser, StoneDragon, Jade, coi, Chez Wombat, King Rollo, LewisGT, Ansel, dandy*, CJK, Mack., uptempo_owww! |

As for the red herring, I deliberately didn’t make this too obvious. I realise that in some countries they may have fireworks at Easter, but certainly in the UK fireworks are very much associated with various other events in the year and not with Easter. Hence #1 was the red herring!
Despite 19 of you getting the theme only 12 of you got the red herring: garyfeld, chrissmith276, jimwatts, dan::G, Bjork, paulglib, Riser, StoneDragon, coi, Chez Wombat, CJK, uptempo_owww! |

As I'm the only Marillion fan on Buzzjack, I'm assuming the other eight got Q20 correct by looking up top 40 hits called Easter.

And so to the scores:
The Top 10 all got at least a very impressive 17 out of 20 artists and titles. 3 people managed to get 20/20 artists and titles. However someone who only got 18/20 managed to muscle into the top 3 by getting every bonus! As for the Top 2, they were just separated by our favourite rapper Mr Chance... |

Oh oops 'Firework' crossed my mind but there was a handful of songs I didn't know, so I thought it might be one of those. Never mind

Aargh I saw that there were a few faith-themed songs and a few animal ones but couldn't put that together to get the Easter link! Thanks Julian for hosting and congrats to StoneDragon!

I'm happy with 6th place here (the same position as Pointless Fortune last week!), it was a very well chosen theme and I really enjoyed taking part. Congratulations to StoneDragon and thanks very much for hosting Julian!

Congrats StoneDragon!
Thanks for hosting, Julian, great quiz and a very nice theme! Gutted I didn't get Easter (I searched for songs with "Easter" in them on Spotify but obviously didn't look far enough down the list) but delighted with 3rd! My quiz - Family Fortunes, the series finale again - is open until Sunday evening, and still on the front page if you want to have a go! |
