Rihanna and Adele coming so soon!? ohmy.gif Could we be in for a BIG sales start to the year on the album front?

WOW. *.* Not only is there some mega stars supposedly releasing this Q1, they're all artists whose albums I'd actually be interested in hearing (aside James Bay).

Adele and Rihanna will be mega sellers, but also they're two of my most anticipated albums so this should be a far more interesting Q1 than fhe past few years I imagine! Emeli will probably sell well too but equally she could underperform a bit. I'm really excited for Madonna and Imagine Dragons too, and Rae Morris is intriguing plus I'm sure Rudimental's album will give us some tunes!

Not sure how well Rihanna will do this time around but I'm sure Adele will sell well. Looking forward to hearing Emeli Sande's second offering.

I'm going to hazard a guess Adele will have her album out around mid-February to tie in with a BRITs performance.

It would be interesting to see how Rihanna would perform outside of Q4. Regarding Emeli, I think the album will sell around 500,000 overall.

Those anticipating Rihanna's next studio album might have to wait for her to release that soundtrack one first tongue.gif that's probably the one they're referring to here.

Rihanna isn't really one to release in Q1 is she? Unless she's dropping it out of absolutely nowhere, think this would be the sort of release that would be kept under wraps. I think the soundtrack album seems a bit more likely, at least she's reminding us all she still exists though so her new album will follow later I'm sure.

Oh my at her, Adele, Emeli Sande & Madonna all releasing though ohmy.gif S'pose it has been a bit of a male dominated album chart for a while so would be nice to see change.

It'll be nice to have some big sellers earlier on in the year. Incidentally NONE of the top 6 albums of last year were released in Q4 and I believe Paloma was the only one of those to have a Q4 rerelease.

Oh yeah Ri's soundtrack album is out March I think so that's obviously Q1, I expect the "proper" album will be Q4 but I expect she'll release a single alongside the film at least like Let It Go for Frozen.

Not believing anything I read about new Adele until we actually hear some music, i'm sure it's been just around the corner for like over a year now lol.

The Prodigy are apparently due an album in February, they may not be a MEGA seller but they do have 5 #1 albums and no reason to believe this won't be another for them ohmy.gif (unless it's released against Adele lol).

I hope Adele doesn't do as well. She is completely over-rated. There were only 3-4 good songs on her last album. The rest was dull as dishwater.

Labrinth's album is out in March, which could do quite well (I.e. top 5).

Rudimental's could also be epic.
