This is not a chart forum quiz, or something I put together, I’m actually revisiting content from an old application that ceased to exist many years ago now from Android and iOS. It was called SWYS, and despite a kickstarter campaign last year to try and bring the game back, it was unsuccessful at securing enough funding.
As someone who formerly owned this game, I was delighted to find you can see play along on the website for a handful of canvasses, and guess the answers. So I thought I’d share this canvas from the site, it was made 10 years ago, so bear that in mind, and it contains 50 UK Chart Toppers, and see how many you can guess correctly! As a disclaimer I didn’t make the quiz, I’m not affiliated with SWYS, and I don’t have all the quiz answers, but play along with me and see how many you can guess correctly from the clues! Full link to the quiz is here; https://www.swys.co.uk/canvases/chart-toppe...-you-see-puzzle This post has been edited by awardinary: May 5 2020, 11:36 PM |

I love these - I can see about 25 on first look....how many have you got? When the app still existed you could click on a clue and get a hint using credits from correct answers. Obviously that’s not the case anymore, so I’m struggling this time around, but I reckon I’ve figured out about 18 correctly so far. You really have to think a lot about it. |

The rainbow on the left: I have Chris Brown and Simply Red but I'm stuck for the Green Atlantic clue/any other artist hidden in that mural

The rainbow on the left: I have Chris Brown and Simply Red but I'm stuck for the Green Atlantic clue/any other artist hidden in that mural I haven’t figured it yet but maybe Al Green or Cee Lo Green if that fits? The only other “Atlantic” artist I can think of is Twin Atlantic which doesn’t fit. |

I spent ages looking for song titles because it said to find the "chart toppers" I now realise we're looking for music acts, but because it says chart toppers, do you know if they all have to have had a number one single? Or is it more of a generic term?

You can check the answers by typing them in - Cee Lo Green is right and fits the clue. I thought that was just rainbow at first! The one that is annoying me is Whitney Houston - it says it's wrong but the girl with the white knee holding the 1 ton house fits the clue!!
The website also says Billboard chat topping acts but it is definitely UK focused / not the US charts. This post has been edited by StoneDragon: May 6 2020, 11:17 AM |

Or is it more of a generic term? No artists only sorry! But when you consider for example those two friendly looking flames you’ll realise they never had a #1 single (possibly an album though). |

Just spent my lunch hour looking at this and I think I've got 47. 44 which the site says are right and 3 which I think should be right but the site says are wrong! Let me know if you want me to share my thoughts!

I'm struggling with this, only got about half of them! I remember there was a similar one to this published in the Daily Mail (I think?) about 15 years ago, which I think might have been the original one of these. Does anyone remember that one? I'll see if I can find it at some point.

Yes - the first 44 are confirmed on the site - the last 3 I think should be right but it says they're wrong! Did you have to spell no. 44 differently for it to be accepted? Because it's not accepting it for me (and I can't see what the clue for it is either!) |

From the new picture these are the ones I've worked out: 32. Lady Gaga 42. Kid Rock 44. Celine Dion I’m not sure where these are on the picture, and I can’t figure out how you got them! 45. Map – Flo Rida? 46. Whitney Houston? 47. Sheryl Crow? Flo Rida is definitely correct as I remember that map in the corner troubling me many years ago until I figured out it was him, and I’m sure about “White Knee House Ton” being correct too. Which clues are you stuck on in the picture that may relate to a chart topper? |

I’m not sure where these are on the picture, and I can’t figure out how you got them! Which clues are you stuck on in the picture that may relate to a chart topper? Lady Gaga is the mad woman by the sink Kid Rock is the baby with the stick of rock No idea about Celine Dion I also have no idea where clues are for Michael Jackson, Cheryl Cole and Plan B The clues in the picture I'm stuck on are: The trumpet/trombone The rocks at the top wearing old-fashioned headwear The crow and guitar (which could be Sheryl Crow or Cheryl Cole but neither of them quite make sense) The drip with the letter D on it The plate with the diamond and whatever the black things are The man holding up the baby The reels next to the tailor - I thought they were Bangles but that isn't right, so they could just be sewing reels and not a separate clue The map of Florida (this surely can't be anything other than Flo-Rida so I'm not sure why that isn't accpeted) |
