ABBA GOLD: SURVIVOR I’ve taken it upon myself to launch my own survivor poll type thing, this one is for one of the biggest selling album of all times and also (sort of) coincides with the buzz around Mamma Mia again. The rules are simple please vote for YOUR LEAST FAVOURITE and every couple of days I will eliminate the song with the most votes until we have a winner. LATEST ELIMINATED 9th Place - Knowing Me, Knowing You (11/43 votes, 26.19%) 10th Place - Waterloo (8/34 votes, 23.53%) 11th Place - Fernando (14/31 votes, 45.16%) 12th Place - Money Money Money (11/34 votes, 32.35%) 13th Place - Super Trouper (8/39 votes, 20.51% FLASH VOTE: 12/22 votes, 54.55%) 14th Place - Chiquitita (6/34 votes, 17.65%) 15th Place - Thank You For The Music (16/36 votes, 44.44%) 16th Place - One of Us (11/32 votes, 34.38%) 17th Place - Does Your Mother Know (9/29 votes, 31.03%) 18th Place - The Name Of The Game (10/28 votes, 37.04%) 19th Place - I Have A Dream (6/23 votes, 26.09%) So I took an unnannouced two-week hiatus from the survivor, which directly resulted in ABBA announcing they were recording new material to provide new ABBA related content in the wake of the poll's sudden disappearance, so y'all welcome. "Knowing Me, Knowing You" is the latest victim of the ballad cull as it exits in 9th place. "Knowing Me, Knowing You" was the fourth and final single from the fourth album Arrival, the song topped the UK Charts for five weeks, stopping David Soul's "Going In With My Eyes Wide Open" and Billy Ocean's "Red Light Spells Danger" from reaching the summit before it freefell to #7 with Deniece Williams' "Free" taking over. "Knowing Me, Knowing You" finished as the seventh best selling song of 1977. "Knowing Me, Knowing You" finished a clear five votes higher than its nearest rivals, with both "Voulez-Vous" and "Gimme! Gimme! Gimme!" getting six votes. Just behind them with five votes a piece are "SOS" and "Lay All Your Love On Me", four votes went to "Mamma Mia", "Dancing Queen" got three and "The Winner Takes It All" and "Take A Chance On Me" both had a single vote, which means this is the first round where no song went unscathed. |

Went for SOS again, which makes it sound like I really hate the song, but it's just the weakest left.

Went with Gimme! Gimme! Gimme! again, as it'd my personal least liked of the songs left, followed closely by SOS....

Will definitely update in next 24 hours, some work things have occurred recently but should be back to weekly results after tomorrow.
