Poor game vs Finland for Ireland there - they were outnumbered in midfield due to the formation in the first half and he took so long to realise this. Better in the second half but once they scored they could have won 2/3-0!

Phil Foden and Mason Greenwood are to leave the England camp after an "unacceptable" breach of coronavirus quarantine guidelines in Iceland.

The Football Association is investigating the breaches after Saturday's 1-0 Nations League victory.

Manchester City midfielder Foden, 20, and Manchester United forward Greenwood, 18, both made their senior international debuts in the game.

Southgate described the pair as "naive" and said they have apologised.

They're both absolute idiots (although the girls are hot). They deserve to be canned from the next England squad too and reprimanded by their clubs. It's just an idiotic thing to do. There are plenty of other good young players about who could easily get in the England squad ahead of them. Massive chance now for Grealish.

What a PR nightmare summer for Manchester United laugh.gif

Even if they were stupid enough to break Coronavirus rules, don’t they both have girlfriends as well (and Phil has a kid)? I’d be so embarrassed if I was the girlfriends.

Yes they both girlfriends as well as Phil Foden recently becoming a dad. Phil and Mason a pair of idiots. They deserve to be axed from the next squad and fined. Clearly didn't listen after Kyle Walker's antics, and one Harry Maguire.

Scotland came from behind to beat a makeshift Czech Republic 2-1 and go top of their Nations League group.

I mean, with footballers it's a more a surprise if any don't cheat on their other halves.

Certainly this summer hasn't shone a good light on England footballers has it, could even go back to Walker's breaches earlier this year too.

Yeah this is all over the news here in Iceland. I don't have a lot of sympathy for these guys, they broke the rules but for some reason the girls are getting the brunt of the shame here despite not being the ones that were supposed to be in quarantine or in a relationship.

It’s probably not that long ago but when’s the last time an England starter hadn’t played a premier league game?

Ah indeed - fair play!

Phillips has done well as he has played in the top flight until Saturday anyway!

That England game was absolutely diabolical. I thought Phillips played well and the formation probably works quite well when you are playing deep and hitting the counterattack, but we don’t have the players to play that formation currently. I also don’t think this England squad is as good as people will have you believe.

Don’t think I’ve seen Sancho have a good game in an England shirt yet?

I have to say I really like this. Very revolutionary on paper and I hope nations get behind this to make it work. In its current format it works superb. Were getting loads of meaningful great games in League A and teams in League D get to compete at their level while retaining a chance at playoffs.

I wonder which nation is going to be the first to be a dick and realise that youre better off getting relegated to League C or D I hope they dont exploit this though, good quality games are most welcome.

Any word on if teams will still play friendlies with nations outside of Europe in between all of these fixtures?

Some friendlies will still be played depending on how the fixtures fall but it would be rare. The only thing that annoys me is that the leagues are redrawn each tournament instead of continuing where they left off.
