The Stone Roses are releasing their first new single since the mid-90s tonight at 8pm.
Full article here. Quite excited about this, just hope it's not a let down! I'm going to see them at the Etihad next month too, which should be good. This post has been edited by Mango: May 12 2016, 10:25 PM |

Not a huge fan. Elephant Stone is really good, some of the other early ones are decent. Not holding out a great deal of hope that this'll be good, but you never know.

This is quite good. Nothing great, but enjoyable.

Think it sounds great - it's called 'All For One'

Very anthemic. Not that I'd have expected it to do anything even with that so this suddenly capturing the imagination is very interesting.

Wow, this sounds straight out of the 90s - can only be a very good thing! *.* Instantly really love it and quite amazing to see it appealing to modern day downloaders so quickly, not something I'd expect, despite how big this comeback would seem.
Love Spreads is my favourite, classic |

It really is very instant isn't it? That guitar riff sounds anthemic!
Even so, I didn't expect it to go to #1 on iTunes quite that quickly (if at all). Good to have them back anyway |

This is incredibly underwhelming and formulaic. It's ok but sounds like it could be something they left off of Second Coming.

Not bad. At least they didn't come back sounding like Kasabian like I thought they would.

I didn't really have high expectations, but it really is quite decent!
I thought there was no way enough demand as has been shown though, that's taken me by surprise. This post has been edited by mr_pmt: May 13 2016, 08:40 AM |

Not bad for a comeback. A lot of expectation has kind of made it an anticlimax though

Very underwhelming on first listen, someone has compared the lyrics to Dogtanian !!
Maybe that was a deliberate statement on when Hitstastic hacked into BBC News last month... |

I find this underwhelming too. It's nice that it feels authentic and it does get better in the second half but lyrically it's a bit cringeworthy.

I don't think they care lyrically it's just a feel good anthem to sing to during the summer festivals!
