I was sure Party Pupils was going to be JSG... although on closer inspection it appears JSG didn't even enter this edition

To the theme of In The Hall of the Mountain King, Edvard Grieg and his advisor, HarryBorelli sneak into the venue trying not to wake anyone, before a pin drops, someone notices and the orchestra goes crazy. Harry mainly awards some of the stragglers outside the top 5 as Lucine Fyelon and Ivan Torrent start to close in and Jubel proves the sole exception to the sax tracks flopping oops x Also we FINALLY have points for Daler Mehndi, :bhangra: Next up...Gustav Mahler |

Gustav Mahler / Edgar Hopp - A True Hero Gustav Mahler was an important forerunner of 20th-century techniques of composition and helped to bridge between tradition and Modernism, he is known particularly for his ten symphonies and use of an orchestra. Unlike many here tonight, he has stuck largely to what he was known for with his track, A True Hero, under the advice of Iz, however, it hasn't gone all that well, as he still languishes on three points D: QUOTE 12 Sergey Nevone & Simon O'Shine - Apprehension (Aly & Fila Mix) 10 Matt Bukovski & Geert Huinink - Fields of Forever 08 Ivan Torrent ft. Claude Debussy / Klingande - Punga
A seminal force for music in the early 20th Century, Claude Debussy had a highly original system of harmony and musical structure that were almost like the Impressionist and Symbolist paintings at the time. His main works being odes to Moonlight, fauna and the Sea. He has gone against type here under the guidance of Juan Carlos and gone with a saxophone led track from an artist I thought was long defunct. Alna - Lonelier (uhsting) 04; Gustav Mahler / Edgar Hopp - A True Hero (Iz) 03; Antonio Vivaldi / Jeff van Dyck - Medieval Total War Soundtrack: Arab Battle 1 Nils Frahm has been sinking somewhat but these votes do redeem him a little as he is now second and nothing for Fields of Forever allows the gap to narrow a bit, also claps for Dam Swindle and Daler finally on double figures and Edgar Hopp getting a point! Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky / Barcode Brothers - Flute
Tchaikovsky is another composer that needs very little introduction, one of the famous Russian composers of all time known for his tuneful, open-hearted melodies, impressive harmonies, and colourful, picturesque orchestration, all of which evoke a profound emotional response. This can be best be seen through the iconic Swan Lake piece. No instrument was off limits for Tchaikovsky, even cannons, but for this contest, under FrankLuck's guidance, he has gone with flutes and banjo in a rather quirky combination. QUOTE Hey Chez, THE votes: 12 Keeno - Cosmic Creeper 10 A.R.D.I. - Army of Angels 08 Etherwood - Hold Your Breath 07 Safri Duo - Samb-Adagio 06 Justin Martin - Don't Go 05 Sergey Nevone & Simon O'Shine - Apprehension (Aly & Fila Mix) 04 Mike Foyle vs Signalrunners - Love Theme Dusk (Mike's Broken Record Mix) 03 Matt Bukovski & Geert Huinink - Fields of Forever 02 Jeff van Dyck - Medieval Total War Soundtrack: Arab Battle 1 01 Ivan Torrent ft. Irene Rodríguez - Skyborn I don't expect much success for 'Flute', it was quite a last minute choice (I did love it back then though, I even own the Maxi CD ) From my top 3 I know that 'Army of Angels' wasn't a fan favourite, but I hope Keeno and Etherwood will do well. Good luck Everyone! 74; Igor Stravinsky / Matt Bukovski & Geert Huinink - Fields of Forever 71; George Friedric Handel / Keeno - Cosmic Creeper 67; Robert Schumann / Nils Frahm - Says 66; Claudio Monteverdi / Sergey Nevone & Simon O'Shine - Apprehension (Aly & Fila Mix) (photografdemon) 63; Franz Schubert / Mike Foyle vs Signalrunners - Love Theme Dusk (Mike's Broken Record Mix) 49; Frederic Chopin / Ivan Torrent ft. Alna - Lonelier (uhsting) 05; Antonio Vivaldi / Jeff van Dyck - Medieval Total War Soundtrack: Arab Battle 1 04; Gustav Mahler / Edgar Hopp - A True Hero (Iz) Flute is indeed not doing the best (it was pretty cool tho x), but Frank does keep things exciting (at least I hope x) as Keeno is closing in. Samb-Adagio has had a good run and enters the top 10. Next up, another one bubbling under...Johann Sebastian Bach |

Johann Sebastian Bach / A.R.D.I. - Army of Angels
A German composer from the Baroque era and one of many extremely successful Bachs, he was admired at the time for his harp and organ skills, he is widely seen as one of the all time greatest composers and was able to take part in the forming of music itself with various masterpieces of church and instrumental music such as the Brandenburg Concertos, The Well-Tempered Clavier. You might know him from this x With Cody, he has combined QUOTE 12 POINTS | Matt Bukovski & Geert Huinink - Fields of Forever 10 POINTS | Safri Duo - Samb-Adagio 08 POINTS | Ivan Torrent f/Irene Rodríguez - Skyborn 07 POINTS | Mike Foyle vs Signalrunners - Love Theme Dusk (Mike's Broken Record Mix) 06 POINTS | Klingande - Punga 05 POINTS | Lucine Fyelon - Showtime 04 POINTS | Sergey Nevone & Simon O'Shine - Apprehension (Aly & Fila Mix) 03 POINTS | Party Pupils & MAX f/Alna - Lonelier 02 POINTS | Barcode Brothers - Flute 01 POINTS | Keeno - Cosmic Creeper 86; Igor Stravinsky / Matt Bukovski & Geert Huinink - Fields of Forever 72; George Friedric Handel / Keeno - Cosmic Creeper 70; Claudio Monteverdi / Sergey Nevone & Simon O'Shine - Apprehension (Aly & Fila Mix) (photografdemon) 70; Franz Schubert / Mike Foyle vs Signalrunners - Love Theme Dusk (Mike's Broken Record Mix) 67; Robert Schumann / Nils Frahm - Says 57; Frederic Chopin / Ivan Torrent ft. Maybe, but it's doing pretty well all things considered given the dominance of the top 5. Yet another 12 to Fields of Forever sees it now in a comfortable position to at least stay on top for the next vote and we have less than ten left, so not all that much to go. Next up, who was our Indian advocate sent by Edward Elgar? |

Edward Elgar / Daler Mehndi - Bolo Ta Ra Ra Another superstar of the Romantic era, Edward Elgar was notable in stimulating a renaissance in Romantic music in his native England, many of his influences for his classic compositions such as the Enigma Variations came from abroad in continental Europe and he has stayed true to this by going somewhere nowhere expected with Bhangra, he looks just the type to enjoy it doesn't he? That's the influence of Haus QUOTE 12; Mike Foyle vs Signalrunners - Love Theme Dusk (Mike's Broken Record Mix) 10; Klingande - Punga 08; Keeno - Cosmic Creeper 07; Nils Frahm - Says 06; Edgar Hopp - A True Hero 05; Sergey Nevone & Simon O'Shine - Apprehension (Aly & Fila Mix) 04; Jacoo - The Moments We Shared…I Miss Them 03; Ivan Torrent ft. Mike Foyle has been lingering in the top 4 for a while but now jumps back to contention, could there be a late upset? Next...Giuseppe Verdi |

I was a big fan of Jubel at the time so not too surprising that I enjoyed Klingande's entry Punga here too, though I do still prefer the former! This scoreboard really looks beautiful right now, great to see Fields of Forever getting so many 12s and of that current top ten I gave points to eight of them (with Nils Frahm who only just missed out also being in there and Skyborn being pretty good too)
