At the moment I'd go for duet predictions as:

I know Nicole is Matt's mentor, but that is the type of bizarre thing X Factor would do and they can always use the wildcard aspect to explain it.

Nevertheless, one rumour I've seen on multiple sites now is Saara with Adam Lambert singing "Who Wants to Live Forever". Adam isn't a big name but I always feel like he's appreciated by the general public as a performer when he appears on TV - his performance on X Factor a couple of years ago got rave reviews I believe - and that would be quite the duet!

Saara and Adam tweeted each other a few weeks back, and Saara said Sharon is organising a big surprise for her for the weekend. Adam seems like the sort of contact Sharon would have, not that I believe Sharon cares if Saara duets with Adam Lambert or Abi Alton.

The Weeknd is the wow name but Saara and Adam are such a perfect match, if Who Wants to Live Forever is true then that is the only potential Alexandra/Beyoncé of the three I believe. James and The Weeknd are more chart relevant but are less "all-out performance" as the X Factor audience would love.

None of them are really high calibre wow performances. Whilst The Weeknd is a big name, they'll just do a bog standard usual 5am performance of Can't Feel My Face and Matt will shout his way through Say You Won't Let Go. At least with Saara the quality is most probably going to be knockout, Who Wants To Live Forever in particular will be incredible.

The video shows Louis as somewhat crazy and aggressive though, like Cheryl REALLY get's under his skin. It made me uncomfortable.

I can make a convincing argument for any of the finalists to finish in any order, I really think it is down to the performances on the night. If Saara does the America's Got Talent version of her song though that will be quite the moment, it is basically Chandelier 2.0 in its arrangement.

I actually enjoyed that?? One of their best performances (which isn't saying much really ), dance breaks can be a bit hit-or-miss for me but that one worked.

It wasn't her best but she sure performed the shit out of it. That VT was incredible though, had me in tears and so emotional at how much she has just blossomed, there really hasn't ever been an X Factor story like it.

Actually feeling like Matt will be 3rd after that, even got a dampening from Simon to boot.

Saara can hopefully still win this, she was incredible, even if slightly less incredible than the last couple of weeks.

Bohemian Rhapsody is one of the biggest selling songs of all time in the UK so it's not like it's an unpopular choice and she bounced well off Adam Lambert.

Saara had 3 breakout moments with It's Oh So Quiet, Winner Takes It All and Chandelier - you could put No More Tears in there too although I don't quite rank that amongst the other three in terms of "breakout-ness". All four could be justified. I do think it's a big error, she should have gone with one of the two ballads but maybe singing Chandelier or Winner Takes It All for the third time this series was pushing it too far as of course only Honey G gets such a privilege.

That said I do think that will lose her the title, I think one of the two ballads would put her right in the hunt but this isn't going to have the same effect. Nevertheless I'm pleased we'll get to hear her winner's single even if it won't get released, it's just such a shame she's going to finish second in a competition for the FOURTH time but the fact she has made it here after that start is still remarkable!

Chandelier was stunning, goosebumps show stealer etc. put her 10 levels above the rest. Its oh so quiet is kooky and won't show what she can really do. How can it possibly be her song of the series? I just don't get it. Still hoping she can pull it off butt his makes ot so much harder.

Matt has been the winner since day 1, predictable and boring as it is its pretty much a given. He will have a relatively successful first single/album then probably disappear into obscurity or be a cover album singer like Jahmene or something. Hopefully Saara will at least get a decent career out of this and get to release actually good

Wasn't that the same for Fleur and Uptown Funk though? You have to do the song that gives you the best chance of winning. I wasn't a Fleur fan but that was Fleur's best moment so she repeated it.

Even Disco week was better for Saara than this Sorry to bang on but I really think this has blown it for her.

And I must admit, Uptown Funk in the final had a lesser impact for me because I'd seen the exact same thing the week before! Besides, that was undoubtedly Fleur's defining moment, I'd say Saara's had three - Chandelier, The Winner Takes It All and It's Oh So Quiet, so she's definitely picked wisely I think. I didn't even enjoy that performance much cause it's not my thing but I can see why it's been picked and I think it makes sense! She clearly has two sides as an artist and she'll be showing both off tomorrow.

I like her so I enjoyed her personality on it, she's infectious but I'm not sure the average punter tuning in will get it. That's my concern. That its too far out there. I guess we'll see tomorrow. I think the song choices were bad tonight as well and she survived it. Maybe there's hope lol

It's Oh So Quiet is certainly completely justified to be a song of the series, it was her breakthrough performance where she started to gain public support. However it was The Winner Takes It All and Chandelier that turned her into a potential winner and I have to agree with the majority that it doesn't make sense from a victory point of view to not perform one of those two. We imagine she topped the vote in weeks 8 and 9, she almost certainly didn't in week 3. These were even the two she performed at homecoming (alongside Let It Go (she was Finnish Anna) and No Fear (Eurovision)) so that suggests she knows they were her "big two".

She could still pull it out with a magnificent winner's single performance but I fear by that point it will be too late. I'm not going to cry sabotage as the producers have been fantastic to Saara on the whole throughout the series, and I still think she may actually be their preferred winner of the two. But this is definitely a misfire of a decision. I wonder if enough people tweet then they could do a last minute song change tomorrow, however I doubt the public voice will be loud enough.

Oh So Quiet isn't what I'd have gone for, but it's still one of the better choices for Saara, in Wembley it might be quite the spectacle. But I feel like tomorrow's choices won't matter THAT much now as tonight's performances will have the most impact.

Though it was more down to Nicole, the song choice and the poignancy of Prince's passing, Purple Rain really was the moment of the night and seems to be the main talking point, I worry it's given Matt the edge. I really feel BR was a terrible choice for Adam and Saara, they could have gone with a much more powerful song.

I found Adam and Saara's duet great! I imagine Who Wants To Live Forever would've been even better, but there was something so endearing and sweet about their duet. I agree that it seems to have been outshined by Nicole (not Matt as he was barely audible once Nicole arrived) but she seems to have given Matt the advantage unfortunately.

We really don't know what the winner's single is going to be, it most likely be a ballad since Ed Sheeran wrote it, its going to be more suited to Matt, he seems to kills it when he sings ballads, and obviously the winners track is going to be last track to be performed by them, which gives him the edge. I do think Saara will finish 2nd. I must admit boys haven't had successful careers as winners, Leon Jackson, Joe McElderry, I can see Matt disappearing after a year or two, preferably sooner.

Chandelier was the best performance from Saara, but since that was pretty recent I see why she went for Its So Quiet, to be fair I did find that was one of her best performances along with Chandelier, its hard to predict, but with the winners track I think its leaning towards Matt as the outright winner.

I think every song choice tonight (and seemingly tomorrow too) has been 100% designed to guarantee a Matt win. They gave her a big Queen song, but not one which would further enhance her status and push her further ahead in the odds (especially following Nicole and Matt and being utterly overshadowed by it) and then picking It's Oh So Quiet, whilst justified, as her song of the series when CLEARLY it isn't the most suitable choice. I mean, I can't complain too much as to imagine her coming second at the start, or even 3 weeks ago, would have been fabulous, but it's VERY clear they want Matt to win.

I've always thought it was Matt's to lose since day 1 however so it wouldn't exactly be a surprise. He fell into the bottom two last week because his performances were pretty lacklustre by his usual standards but he's stepped up for the final for sure.

Well I've caught up on tonight's show and whilst I loved Saara, those were not the song choices she needed at this stage, and it's Oh So Quiet certainly isn't. It's baffling that they'd even consider it considering the absolute rave reviews her recent performances have deservedly received.

BH was every bit as disjointed as I feared. It just doesn't work shortened like that.

That said, I can't wait to see her performances just to see what she can pull out of the bag.

Decided to watch Part 1 of the Final. I don't think I've seen a Singing Competition in about 10 years.

Saara looks like someone that I could get behind. Everybody Wants to Rule the World was the best performance of the night by far. I would put Bohemian Rhapsody as a tie for #2 with the Matt/Nicole duet for sure. Judging by some of the comments here, it sounds like she has had better performances? Care to share which ones?

Matt is the winner. I can see that from a mile away. He won't make much of an impact tho. Saara should win in my mind. Take Me Home was the 2nd worst performance of the night in my mind. Does this dude have a personality? I couldn't see it in this performance. Purple Rain was awesome, tied for #2 (and perhaps edges out Saara's performance), but let's be honest, Nicole carried him there.

5 After Midnight. Hmm. Does anyone notice only 2 of them can sing and 1 of the guys that can sing, can't dance - what a mess. I did like Crazy In Love - but, let's be honest.. it's not the most vocally challenging song. Tears was the worst performance of the night. Right artist went tonight as far as I can tell.

I'd back Saara to win, but Matt looks like your standard winner to me.

I think Sara's song choice for tomorrow is brilliant. Her performance of "Chandelier" isn't that great imo and "The Winner Takes It All" could be a bit of a dud at Wembley. "It's Oh So Quiet" was an absolutely brilliant performance (my fav of hers) and they can make the production much bigger for the final and think it could have a big impact!

Don't forget as well that 3/4 judges will prob be pushing for a Saara win tonight and the judges really do impact the vote (look at Simon's comments to Matt last week basically putting him in the b2) Although I don't think Matt will get bad comments for Writings on the wall cuz it was very good the first time and I'm not exactly sure if Simon will be happy with Saara's Oh So Quiet after his "moment" comment etc for winner takes it all, it still very much seems like Saara is their desired choice. Simon said on Xtra that before last night, he thought Matt was gonna be third!

Chandelier was incredible but we've seen it at the audition, last week and in last night's VT in Finland, it hardly needs another airing. Granted it would have been the third airing for The Winner Takes It All as well but it would have fit the 'end of show' theme perfectly lyrically and in terms of impact.

I do agree that It's Oh So Quiet is a slightly odd choice though.

The Winner Takes It All - first sighting of the piano, first proper big ballad, amazing camera shot of audience, the MOMENT of the series
Chandelier - utterly epic, more emotion than ever before, amazing cinematography with staging

I must be one of the few that can't warm up to Saara at all. She is a competent singer and performer, but I just can't bring myself to care for her in any way at all.

Perhaps I wrote her off completely at her 6 Chair Challenge disaster or after a few unfortunate VTs that made her come across really fake.

That said, I did feel sorry for her when she was in the bottom 2 in the first few weeks of the live shows. She was too good to be on the chopping block that early. However, once she made it on tour (TOP 8), I started hoping she would go home soon.
