Mariah Carey is now 25/1 which is ridiculous odds. I seriously can’t see anyone beating her to it. She’s already number 8 officially and number 3 on Apple Music.

I don't think Mariah is very likely at all to get the Xmas #1 (as has been said repeatedly the week after Xmas #1 is the one where she has an excellent chance) but 25/1 is still worth a punt tbh. I'm actually astonished that Lewis is still ahead of Stormzy in the odds!
Lyra Cole's 'When A Child Is Born' seems to be best placed for a potential charity hit reaching #1 (second in the odds behind Lewis) but it has been released a week early and only went low top 10 on iTunes so far - we'll see if it has a huge download push next week I guess... |

I've put my annual £10 on. I've spread it across three options, I stand to win £25 if Tones & I is xmas #1, £42 if it's Mariah (however unlikely) and £35 if it's Stormzy which I now think is the most likely option, barring a surprise charity release. Lewis Capaldi better not ruin my Christmas now!

Good luck to you all! Time will tell I guess. Mariah’s streams will be huge even if it is the week before Christmas. Think it’ll be very close but maybe something will come out of nowhere like sausage rolls guy!
