Coasts "A Rush Of Blood"
LXXI

Our most Buzzjack-friendly entry in some time, so fingers crossed as we try to leave behind the failures of 2014 and start on the right foot for 2015 happy.gif

I really hope this does qualify, my second favourite of your entries so far (after P-Money obviously, still reeling over his DNQ).

Coasts "A Rush Of Blood"

The Flavr Blue "We Can Go Blind"
LXXII: did not qualify

As some of you know I LOVE "White Walls" by Macklemore & Ryan Lewis and have really really wanted to enter Hollis into BJSC. This is her! Listen to how good it is!

She's amazing.

Holychild "Running Behind"
LXXIII

We love ourselves a pop duo! This song was discovered on a radio station that plays a heck of a lot of BJSC songs, including three in a row earlier today! (Didn't get a chance to screenshot but it was Walk The Moon 'Shut Up And Dance', Cold War Kids 'First', and Galantis 'Runaway'.) Not gonna reveal the station name though 'cause we want this source all to ourselves. happy.gif

A Silent Film "Tomorrow"
LXXIV: did not qualify

This stunning melodic anthem cruelly failed to benefit from the expanded final, instead finishing THIRD LAST in its semi. Harmonica is literally praying for a chance to prove ourselves tomorrow (i.e. next contest).

...Or maybe sooner magic.gif (see next post).

All Thieves "Turn And Turn Again"
BJSC Your Best Of: 39th!!

Our country's favorite entry had the privilege of redeeming its previous failure by competing again, this time amongst all countries' favorite entries. You *could* say these were the most favoritest entries of all time! "Turn And Turn Again" finished 39th of those 44 entries, but considering all the past songs that weren't even liked enough to be picked, that result undeniably cements its place as one of the greatest entries in BJSC history! The best thing was that it allowed some more countries to fall in love with the song, even if it was just a few. Many thanks to the following countries for their points, definitely the points that Harmonica will appreciate the most:

18 points: Desbuanda
15 points: Mulgracia
9 points: Quotosibb
4 points: D'yermak'er
3 points: Ashton
2 points: Cadelicia, Jayrusalem
1 point: Skall, Syndare

Sarai "Ladies"
LXXV: did not qualify

Ten contests ago we sent "Girls", and now we send "Ladies". A song that's fallen in and out of my memory since 2003, before Iggy Azalea was a figment of even her own imagination. It flopped majorly in the charts at the time, but 12 years later may finally have its chance to succeed at something! (And it turns out that will be TBO Rejects in December)

It's like an Iggy Azalea song without the massive flaw of being by Iggy Azalea. *.*

Pixikill "Scream"
Buzzjackfestivalen IV

A duo that's been in my potentials since the very beginning, but with another song. I hadn't bothered checking out their other stuff until recently and found myself a much better entry biggrin.gif. Pixikill only have about five songs but they're well worth the time if you really like 'Scream'! Anyway, we fell just short of advancing last Buzzjackfestivalen, so can we get there this time?

I like this duo a lot, I've actually heard of them before after they followed me on twitter a while ago I listened to some of their songs, I think Vampire was the first one I heard and really liked that, they are one of those bands that just went out of my head though, so I'm really glad you've entered them, it's reminded me of how great they are, Scream is amazing wub.gif

No way! ohmy.gif I just saw they have only 72 followers on Soundcloud so I figured they'd be completely unknown here. The first one I heard was Banshee which I liked but thought would be terrible for BJSC. Chameleon's probably my favorite actually. Seems like they're really overdue for some new music!

ANYWAY that's very cool so thanks for commenting biggrin.gif

Morgan Page feat. Lissie "Open Heart"
LXXVI: did not qualify

Morgan Page feat. Lissie "The Longest Road (Deadmau5 Remix)"
2000s Dance Anthems Spin-Off: 27th!!

Took a FUN little risk here. Our top potential just happened to be ~of the dance category~ just as a dance-themed spin-off of BJSC surfaced. Lissie is an underrated fave of mine and she's done a few collabs with Morgan Page, so it just made sense to send them to both contests simultaneously! Best case scenario: both songs would help each other succeed. Worst case scenario: both would go unnoticed or get eaten alive by the other entries. In true Harmonica fashion, we went for the former and ended up with the latter!

I think Dance Anthems is 1BF so you don't have to worry about that not DNQ'ing.

Morgan Page had a song featured on Teen Wolf so glad to see that impacting Harmonica *hair flip*

Why do half of your posts in this forum mention whatever the hell 'Teen Wolf' is?

Also: no shit an artist has had a song featured on Teen Wolf, it seems to feature whatever it can get its hands on. Back when I used to watch it I once spotted Echosmith and Cardiknox (two consecutive BJSC entrants of mine, after I'd entered them) in the same episode. tongue.gif

(oh and for Jordan, good luck with Morgan Page, I like him)

'Open Heart' sounded pretty great in the sunshine today, Jordan cool.gif. Rooting for it to be a rare Harmonican qualifier but of course can't do anything to help make that happen due to random.org's continued disdain for the Harmbuanda alliance. dry.gif

I'd forgotten how much I like Lissie's voice <3 (actually I'd forgotten about Lissie altogether so cheers for inadvertedly reminding me of 'When I'm Alone' among other gems of hers)!
