A really dead week this week, it looks to me like Union J could possibly even be the highest new entry?

1 Ed Sheeran - Thinking Out Loud 1.0000
2 Take That - These Days 0.8616 Olly 0.8724 and Taylor 0.8642 combined. (Of course Ed also has another version though so these and TT are actually lower). |

Ella, Taylor or Blonde for #1 please!
I would guess at Blonde being the highest new entry, I doubt Union J's X Factor performance will have much effect - at least not enough to overcome Blonde's overall higher popularity (judging by the pre-orders). |

A really dead week this week, it looks to me like Union J could possibly even be the highest new entry? i'd be pretty stunned if they weren't. good airplay, big fanbase and an XF performance- I can see them being #1 in the first mids, then a few places lower by Sunday Blonde should hopefully make the top 15, glad that looks set to do well anyhow! (lol @ Ed's lead atm) |

I could easily see Union J being the highest new entry and getting their biggest hit yet TBH, they seem to have a lot going for them. They could even possibly be #1 in the first mids.
Looking like it'll be Ed back at #1 unless his XF effect wears off very quickly or the XF effect for Ella / Union J is very big. Poor Olly, he really had a chance but I doubt he'll be able to come back from this especially as Ed has an even bigger streaming advantage than him! Although if he can do well from the This Morning promo maybe that could cancel out Ed's XF boost (I guess a fair amount of it went into today's chart). |

I can see Blonde replicating The Magician tbh, I do think Union J's X Factor performance will push them ahead (it's had an effect for every performer this series, not noticeable for Taylor/Jessie J who were already pretty high anyway), plus they have 3 physicals in a bundle with a download too, plus the version with The Vamps which has been doing well on pre-orders too. I think it's set to give them a top 3 hit, or top 5 at the very least!

Can't believe I'm actually wanting a Union J song to be a genuine hit. 'You Got It All' is really good.

Really surprised that Secondcity's What Can I Do is as high as #31
It's not in the Radio 1 and Capital FM playlists. There's no hype around it. It's far inferior to 'I Wanna Feel' imo . I can't understand. |

Really surprised that Secondcity's What Can I Do is as high as #31 It's not in the Radio 1 and Capital FM playlists. There's no hype around it. It's far inferior to 'I Wanna Feel' imo . I can't understand. Must have just been on pre-order for ages. I'd be surprised if it climbs any higher than #31. Looks like it could possibly remove Secondcity's one hit wonder status (technically) though, hooray. Just leaves the following acts who had a #1 this year as one hit wonders: Borgeous, Cody Wise, Jax Jones, Lilly Wood, MAGIC!, Meghan Trainor, Nico & Vinz, Oliver Heldens, Robin Schulz, Route 94 (plus technically Band Aid 30 and Gareth Malone's All Star Choir). Well Meghan and Oliver are guaranteed to get a second hit, Mr Probz pretty much is too, and Robin Schulz/Route 94 had another hit as a remixer (Robin's of course being bigger than his credited hit) so it's not as bad as it looks |

Yes at P Money's EP being top 100 Always felt he was too closely associated with the dubstep phase tbh.
Great to see Blonde top 10! Nico & Vinz and Secondcity songs are all right, but not a patch on their Number 1s. This post has been edited by ML Hammer95: 30th November 2014, 09:18 AM |
