Rangers have crashed out of the Europa League to Luxembourg's Progres Niederkorn who are ranked 440th by UEFA, their first win in UEFA competition.

So Celtic's loss to Lincoln Red Imps last season was only the worst result for a Scottish side for a solitary year, can always count on Rangers!

In their 13 previous European matched Progres Niederkorn had only managed to score one goal. Oops

Am dying laughing. I know a few Rangers fans and all we're feeling fairly confident/gobby about their Euro chances and how they were back where they belong. It's utterly hilarious. They finished 4th in the Luxembourg league. A league that is somehow worse than the Scottish one!!

Thankfully if Brighton only get into the final qualifying round for the 2018-19 Champions League they won't face a team from Luxembourg. Therefore, there is no potential fro a similar embarrassment.

They finished 4th in the Luxembourg league. A league that is somehow worse than the Scottish one!! My team in NI beat the team that ended up 2nd in Luxembourg in last seasons Europa League 2nd round - shows how shite rangers were there! Although I would argue some Irish sides are better than Scottish sides - Dundalk & Cork for two! |

You get some entertaining games in the Luxembourgish league, but there is no denying that Rangers are pure embarrassment because of that result.

That is on paper an easy group for Arsenal and one that they should be topping, they need to take this tournament seriously because it will probably be their best chance of getting Champions League football for next season and it's a bit of silverware also. Everton should qualify from their group but most likely in second place behind Lyon who I think will be one of the favourites to win the Europa League.

Arsenal v Cologne kick-off delayed by an hour due to crowd safety concerns.

The match will finish at about 11 PM UK time which will definitely play into Chelsea's hands for the weekend match. What an introduction to Europa League football for Arsenal!

A very poor defeat for Everton against Atalanta. I think they could struggle especially with games against Lyon.

Strong words by Koeman afterwards. Perhaps he is seeking a reaction for the next fixture.
