5th August 1985 - Bowing to demands from the moral pressure group Parents Music Resource Centre, also known as the Washington Wives, Stan Gortikov, President of the Recording Industry Association of America, announces that 19 record companies have agreed to sticker potentially offensive albums with the words "parental guidance - explicit lyrics". At last, kids can instantly identify the records they want in a store without having to listen to them.
