Friday Chart Predictions
Firstly please note this week's chart will only have 5 days of sales, due to the new integration of New Music Friday, new singles and albums have been given a Friday release date instead of Sunday. This week new single releases come in the shape of Years & Years with their brand new single 'Shine' taken from their soon to be released debut album 'Communion'. David Zowie releases his debut house track 'House Every Weekend' and Fifth Harmony collaborating with Kid Ink on 'Worth It'. Other new tracks to make the grade inside the top 40 come from Nathan Sykes 'Kiss Me Quick' and Petite Meller 'Baby Love', the latter could miss the 40 completely. As for the albums, Lionel Richie is in danger of losing the #1 album to Krept & Konan 'Long Way Home' unless Florence + The Machine does a U-turn back to #1. Other new album releases this week come from Ezra Furman 'Perpetual Motion People', Lucy Rose 'Work It Out', Zedd 'True Colors' and Bleachers 'Strange Desire'. This week's #1 album sales could hit below 10k for the week with just 5 days of sales into play. ======================================================== Some minor new changes this week: Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday - Chart Information will probably be a bit scarce this week due to changes to the chart later in the week, we do not know what's happening, if we get any chart info it will be posted as soon as its available. Its best to use Twitter and any reports from OCC to keep abreast of things. Radio 1 Chart Update has moved to Mondays as from next week at 5:30pm (13 July 2015), no chart update this week from Radio 1. Friday Chart Predictions thread topic will be up every Sunday late afternoon/ early evening as from 12 July 2015 To keep everyone in the loop of all chart action please refer to the iTunes thread topic. |

Just looks like a really big typo
Hoping Florence can claw herself back to the top, disappointed she couldn't overcome an old Lionel Richie album last week. |

Welcome to the new era!!!!
Nathan Sykes will scrape Top 40 and should be very interesting to see if Fifth Harmony can retain their Top 3 placings by Friday. Looking good so far. |

The cut-off point for the next chart is Thursday and the weekend streaming effect usually happens on Friday and Saturday so it won't pull songs down in time for the next chart |

I think album sales are looking very worrying this week more than anything, with those poor weak new releases, I wouldn't be surprised if Krept & Konan are #1 in the album chart, we soon find out, hopefully we get some info from Mint Royale
And I still can't get my head round to the Friday Chart Predictions, it feels like a typo to me |

To everyone's dismay, I think Ed will be #1 in albums. x is £4.99 on iTunes, Amazon and in HMV, and his London concerts are approaching this weekend.

It'll be odd having Mint Royal's midweeks today meaning more than they usually do - Obviously Monday/Tuesday is going to be the main mid-week stage from now on.

As from next week, the midweek thread topic will be dropping a day earlier, also prior to the new Number 1 Show on Radio 1 (Sundays) which doesn't start for another 2 weeks yet, the show might give out some hints. The Chart update on a Monday is going to be very short only 15 minutes long, they are hardly going to play the top 40, my guess the top 3 singles will be revealed more than anything. The full top 100 will be revealed on OCC site, soon after I should imagine.
