Billie Eilish 49 48 206 01 FUTURE NOSTALGIA Dua Lipa 50 49 204 01 AFTER HOURS The Weeknd "Beautiful Things" climbs to #1. How long it takes up residence there obviously depends on the competition willing to unseat it. Beyonce's timing has been pretty bad and doesn't look like contending anymore. Djo climbs into the top 10 for the first time with a bit of momentum still on his side. The big news of, actually two weeks ago was Fred again.. announcing a run of very soon Australian shows (well, just Melbourne & Sydney). He's actually already done the Melbourne shows, but in any case, all of his stuff is flying up, most notably "leavemealone" which scores a massive new peak and is his highest charting single ever now. Michael Marcagi & CYRIL also take big climbs into the top 20, I can't actually figure out how the latter is quite so high even though his sales are quite good. Also Muni Long's team has worked out the lifehack for the New Music chart by crediting the Lil Jon version, since the original is too old to be included. After nearly 5 years, "Lover" finally scores a second week at #1. Of her #1 albums, it was one of only a few that hadn't stayed multiple weeks, and gives us a whole new permutation of her holding the top 5. With Ariana Grande & The Weeknd (thankfully not together) this reign of tomfoolery will very much be over next week. We've got a real new music problem on the album chart this year too. "american dream" and "Vultures 1" are the only albums this year to last more than a single week in the top 50. We've got three more for the pile of one weekers here, and as a nice treat they're all Australian. As a less nice treat, they're all down on previous peaks, one has to wonder if that general influx in new streamers this year is gonna make a serious roadblock in the charts to come. Anyhow, congrats to Mildlife, Donny Benét & San Cisco for getting to the top 50, because it ain't easy anymore. |

This post is how I find out there is a Lil Jon remix of 'Made For Me' - definitely on brand for the era it's obviously calling back to aesthetically.

Billie Eilish "Beautiful Things" is #1 for a second week. It does not look to be under immediate threat although we must always consider the volatility/tendency to spike of new arrivals. With that in mind, Ariana Grande scores a second #2 debut of the year. She briefly found herself atop the Spotify chart but things have calmed down a little since then. Djo also continues to vault with "End Of Beginning" and should close the gap a little even if he can't keep that momentum up in the week following me hitting the Add Reply button. Ariana Grande releasing a new album is a prompt for everyone else to take the week off so there's not much else to say, with the exception of a new arrival for Bryson Tiller. This is actually his first ever lead artist entry, he's only made the top 50 before with "Wild Thoughts". A rare W for the Australian music scene in 2020 was managing to get to #1 ahead of tough competition, namely Ariana Grande's "Positions" album. It spent its first two weeks at #2 behind Midnight Oil & Kylie Minogue and never got there in the end. Ariana Grande reverses fortunes to go back to #1 with her newest album, which gives her 5 #1 albums in total. In that regard you could take this week as an Australian music L but actually I think it's quite impressive that some 2 decades after first appearing on Australian Idol, Ricki-Lee scores her highest ever album chart position. Of course maybe at this point she's more recognised as a media personality but in any case she released her first new album in a decade and hits #3 with it. Speaking of new points, Australian music culture war focal point Sticky Fingers take their first album to its highest ever position thanks to an anniversary vinyl. Kylie Minogue's anniversary vinyl looks to have just missed the top 50. We've also got Judas Priest returning to the chart for the first time in 6 years, where the top 10 still eludes them but they're quite consistently making the top 20, even on what could still be considered a tough week. |

Billie Eilish 50 47 024 01 FOR ALL THE DOGS Drake "Beautiful Things" is #1 for a 3rd week. The lead is solidified so I don't expect anything to change next week. In what is a relatively quiet week, we've got a new bolting in for Dasha, which ARIA have curiously allowed on the New Music chart despite being a few weeks over for that, maybe they're using the album release date. Of course it's far from the biggest muck up that we've got this week, as you'll notice a big surge for "the boy is mine". I'll have to forgive for not paying close enough attention to the Ariana Grande debuts last week to notice myself, but suffice to say, it should never have been as low as #48 then. It dropped from #22 to #29 on this week's Spotify chart if you want a decent estimate on where it should have been, but what a bizarre thing to not only happen but actually be corrected. We've also got a return for Travis Scott, and a sneak-in for V who is buoyed by all the sales of the instrumental & sped-up versions and such to get his first ever solo entry. Bubbling Under we can shine a light on another error, where it seems like the second week reaction strikes again. This time it's for 4batz who charts a week late compared to everywhere else, and at a considerable distance away from the top 50 for something that went #15->#24 in New Zealand this week. So not only did ARIA not count it last week but if the typo on the chart is anything to go by, it's very possible that they didn't even combine the two versions. Ariana Grande scores a second week at #1. She'll probably come crashing down to the Taylor Swift zone next week which means someone else will be #1 then. Maybe Future & Metro. Leading the new arrivals is a second solo album for Peter Garrett, who you either know from Midnight Oil or Kevin Rudd's Labor ministry back in the day. His first solo album debuted at #3 behind Good Charlotte, this one can't quite match its second week position at #17. But in any case, that's nothing compared to the drop off for Justin Timberlake who arrives well short of any of his previous albums, and his last album hit #2. Kacey Musgraves also made the top 10 with her last album but instead retreats to a more typical debut position for herself. On the optimistic side, Lainey Wilson is charting for the first time ever with her new album. |

Billie Eilish 49 51 094 15 LOOK AT ME: THE ALBUM XXXTentacion 50 50 025 01 FOR ALL THE DOGS Drake Don't let the date fool you, this is the real chart, and "Beautiful Things" is #1 for a 4th week. It's still miles ahead of the competition and begs the question for if it could well be the biggest hit of the year. Anyway we do have two top 10 debuts this week, firstly "Like That", which gives Future his 3rd top 10 hit, just 1 spot high of his career high of #7 he got with "Way 2 Sexy". Actually #7 is as high as Metro Boomin has ever gotten too, but that was with "Creepin'", and yes that includes all of his production work. Kendrick Lamar isn't credited but he's been at #1 before. Next up is Hozier scoring his second ever top 10 hit, and first charting hit since "Someone New" which had a quite respectable chart run in 2015. Michael Marcagi is stuck at #12 and could overtake Jack Harlow while being overtaken by Artemas next week, so we can only hope he does the 12 12 12 12 chart standing which is always fun. The best instance of this I believe is when "Little Lion Man" held at its #16 peak in its 16th week in early 2010 and I've always been on the lookout for new instances. Maybe if you only include top 50 weeks then there's still hope for "No Role Modelz" to pull off a miracle. But speaking of Artemas, his song that sounds like a nightcore remix of itself is fresh in at #25 with a bullet in the back pocket. Ahead of that with less of a segue is Olivia Rodrigo which has a moderately interesting detail of having been available on vinyl releases months ago, so it doesn't appear on the New Music chart, and also appears with a last week position on the ARIA website of #2110. I am very curious if that's a sign that there were 2109 songs that registered sales last week or if ARIA got *some* late Thursday data in the mix. That's a number to look out for I suppose! Despite the Olivia omission, the Bubbling Under chart is fairly lean this week. It might grow next week as several songs drop out and "leavemealone" ousts itself as the penultimate 2023 song on the list (YG Marley released *right* at the end of December). Earlier in Ariana Grande's career, her albums tended to drop off quite a bit after debut week. "My Everything" dropped to #8 in its second week for instance. "thank u, next" managed 5 weeks at #1 though and now "Eternal Sunshine" is sitting strong after 3 weeks. It'll certainly be ousted next week by Beyonce. Meanwhile Metro Boomin has a second #2 album (following the second Spider-Verse soundtrack). Future actually has had a #1 album though. Surprisingly The Veronicas have never had a #1 album (they've had 2 #1 singles though), and this week they pick up 6 for 6 on top 10 albums, and this one's landing in the middle of the #5 & #7 peaks their two 2021 albums scored. It's their first album not released on a major label. You know it's a slow week when Pitbull's Greatest Hits can find room in the top 50 though. |

It sure is a good thing that I didn't do this post yesterday otherwise I might have said something like 'well, there's no sign of that ending', but the Spotify shenanigans continue and now Hozier is #1 there. Probably not soon enough to make a change for next week, but that's one to keep an eye on unless it's involving similar chicanery. Beyonce has a couple of debuts this week in addition to "TEXAS HOLD 'EM" returning to its prior peak of #2, while K-Pop group ILLIT have their first ever entry too. There's some slight dubiousness to the top 50 as it's possible that Richy Mitch and Lord Huron might be on the cusp of the top 50 but are missing from the report. Since there aren't as many Beyonce songs as there were Ariana Grande songs falling out, we've got another one of those classic weeks where all the old songs mostly climb back up to the expense of newer hits. It's unclear to me which of those columns I should put Morgan Wallen's newly peaking "Thinkin' Bout Me" under. He sure is lucky there isn't a recurrency rule. Though Beyonce has been chronically unable to score a proper #1 single since "Irreplaceable", she's done just fine on the album chart of late. She's now got 4 #1s to her name starting with her self-titled album in 2013. The only other debut we've got this week is a return for Pierce Brothers. I say it's a return because their last album didn't actually chart for reasons I can't ascertain, so this is their first chart appearance since 2018. To prevent homesickness, the Australian public has made sure that 6 of the albums that were charting that week are still there this week. |

I'm fairly certain it won't be next week. Despite it being a solid decade since they last hit #2 on the singles chart, and despite their new album not even cracking the top 50 this week, incredibly a new unremarkable album track by The Black Keys has climbed to #2. In all seriousness, this is Hozier's second #2 hit for now as you might have guessed. 'But why would I know where "Take Me To Church" peaked in Australia?' I'll tell you why, because it's pretty much the only song I can think of that peaked at #2 in pretty much every English speaking country, often at different time frames behind different songs, very strange coincidence. We've got 3 new peaks in the top 4 clearly just waiting for Benson Boone to have his moment. Despite the rising benchmark we've been seeing this year, there are actually quite a lot of the top 50 entries this week. Stomp & holler fanfare means that leading the pack is Avalanche City soundalike (there's something closer I can't think of though) Mark Ambor getting his first chart entry. Possibly benefitting from 'I can't remember which song is which they both have similar titles' (okay that's probably just me), Artemas gets a second entry in quick fashion. J. Cole debuts with a song that I wasn't prompt enough to actually listen to while it was still on Spotify, to be honest I respect someone willing to admit they lost. The last two debuts are mildly funny just because the chart makes them look fresher than they actually are. Despite very much hanging around since last year, Luke Combs & Jungle climb into the top 50 this week. Jungle have obviously been popular in Australia for a decade, but this is their first foray into the singles chart, 3 months after "Back On 74" placed at #17 in triple j's Hottest 100. Beyonce gets a second week at #1. This is a typical thing for her as of her 4 #1 albums, only "Lemonade" spent a single week at #1, and that's because "Views" came out one week later. She's still running on just digital stats so the physical release could help her in the future (this week I think?). I don't know if anything out this week can contest because we have so little data to go on and Australia can often just totally ignore big UK debuts even if they are popular artists here. I mean I didn't have Vampire Weekend missing the top 50 on my bingo card but hey, maybe a lot of people spent the first half of 2019 being tormented by "Harmony Hall" overplay and want nothing to do with them now? Speaking of overplay, we've got two big 2004 albums returning this week, from Missy Higgins and Shannon Noll. If you're thinking 'doesn't that sound familiar?', maybe you know "Scar", it was used in the Axis of Awesome's 4 Chord Song video which I understand is popular enough that a lot of people have unwittingly heard a Missy Higgins melody. If you're Shannon Noll, you're probably asking 'what about me?' because he did that a lot in 2004 with his cover of Moving Pictures' "What About Me" being the biggest hit of the year and the reason "Milkshake" by Kelis missed the top spot. He was the runner up in Australian Idol's first season and for a good while looked to be having a better career than Guy Sebastian until 2008 roared in, completely knocked over the scales and they've been collecting dust on the floor ever since. Anyway there are also Americans here. J. Cole gets to #2 which feels very lucky since his streaming performance was fairly lacking compared to usual. Conan Gray gets a second top 10 album. Khruangbin are also back and getting to remind me of a silly joke we made in high school about the Quang Binh province of Vietnam (you had to be there I think). Actually their name is Thai but it sounds pretty similar. Anyway they got to #4 back in 2020, this time they settle for #14. Benson Boone manages a top 20 debut which we shall wait to see how much of it is from habitual streams of the singles (they're all on there), so it's the classic case where the worse it does next week, the more popular he'll look. Also down on a top 10 debut from 2020 is Alpha Wolf. A surprising entry for me is from Brian Cadd, who for context is a pretty significant figure in Australian music, whose own solo career is largely confined to the '70s. He's kept making music but this is his first chart position in about 50 years. Lower down, Doja Cat has evidently not been able to utilise streaming points with only two significant hits on her newest album, but the re-package this week brings it back. Also Bryson Tiller is not falling from a top 10 position because he's only ever gotten to #11 (and #12), but he sneaks in another album. |

Actually I spent the better part of a weekend cordially arguing with someone about it. They were never rude but they did just perpetually come up with objectively incorrect observations and allegations that the charts are rigged. The day that the conscientious objectors manage to successfully strip the crackpot conspiracists and the irrationally mads from their ranks might be the day I consider their perspectives measured. Taylor Swift has a 12th #1 hit, and now music fans can join in the hardcore gamers in asking the question 'is "Fortnight" overrated?'. The record has been broken a few times of late, at least once by Taylor Swift but for the first time ever, one artist has the entire top 10 to themselves, so it can't really get broken anymore. Well, maybe if someone can do it with no features, it'd look a bit more aesthetic, especially if there wasn't a typo in it. Also there are other debuts this week. Shaboozey is making a seriously quick impression that implies a strong standing when there are less Taylor Swift songs in the way. Drake maybe less so but unlike in the US, he's actually managed to outchart "Like That" for the week so it's something. Taylor Swift scores a 13th #1 album, ironically ARIA forgot to put the 13 in her Twitter handle when they tagged her this week. This is evidently not a great choice of week for Pearl Jam to put out their new album, but that's actually kind of par the course for them. You'd think they'd never stop getting #1 albums here but their last was in 2013. Their previous album was released against 5 Seconds of Summer and Dua Lipa, so peaked at #3. SZA's Australian tour gets "Ctrl" up to a new peak of #13 this week. Our only Australian rep this week on the album chart is a new album for Mark Seymour. You might know him from Hunters & Collectors, who have a catalogue of well-regarded and remembered pub rock songs from the '80s & '90s. I last saw Mark Seymour perform at the AFL Grand Final last year, don't ask me what happened that day. |

Just noticed that the ARIA website has incorrectly titled 'Who's Afraid of Little Old Me?' as 'Who's Afraid of THE Little Old Me?'

It looks likely to not get any further. If there is still a suspicious uptick in Sabrina Carpenter streams, they'll have lasted long enough to secure her the #1 I suspect. Anyhow, the 'Taylor Swift has been taking the exposure away from other artists' crowd has been real quiet this week, as Shaboozey also vaults up to #3 this week. He looks likely to not be alone too, as Tommy Richman may well have taken over from the lead singer of DMA'S as music's most famous baseball cap wearing Tommy, and looks to make a big splash next week. Kendrick Lamar will also probably make some noise, with "euphoria" working out the best for the tracking week I'd wager. Anyway, arguably the only artist who was denied a top 50 entry last week because of Taylor Swift is Chappell Roan, but she's gotten there this week, this must be why everyone conveniently shut up this week and definitely not because of Facebook algorithms. You will not be surprised to know that Taylor Swift is also still #1 on the album chart. I hazard a guess to say that she's the only artist to have 4 multi-week #1 albums in a single calendar year but I've been wrong before. Surely she's the first to have gotten it done by May though. Anyway there's other stuff happening, like Pet Shop Boys adding to their collection of funny album titles that all have one word in the title. "Nonetheless" reaches #3 which is their highest chart position since "Bilingual" back in 1996, which was kinda the end of their imperial era on the singles chart but then they had another top 30 hit in 2006, not that 2006 charts have much merit on ARIA. Just behind them is a new album from Luke Hemmings, the 5SOS guy with some pretty solid solo stuff. His last album actually debuted at #1. Then a little lower down is the return of Laufey, who briefly hit the top 50 with her vinyl release, but now the expanded edition of the album (by sheer chance, "Goddess" is on my shuffle playlist as I type this), rockets her considerably higher into the top 10 for the first time. Jimmy Barnes also returns with a fake 30 year anniversary of "Flesh and Wood" (it actually dropped in 1993), not to be confused with "Flesh and Blood", which was a #1 album for him in 2021. Australian band with funny name The Dreggs have been putting out singles since like 2017 but just now have a debut album that lands them in the top 50, your move Peking Duk. Also in what can only be described as amusingly apropos, we have a rare climber into the top 50, and just like the singles chart, it's Chappell Roan. Most albums only get to see the fall but I guess we'll eventually see a rise and fall, curious. |

Anyway "Espresso" is #1 this week. I am not suggesting that its immediate predecessor and successor are quite that big, or maybe I am. "Fortnight" has by a fairly wide margin the largest weekly Spotify total ever in Australia (yes, that includes Christmas songs), whoever follows it up will probably be pulling up the second highest ever total figures in the last 6 or so years. I just don't know exactly what that will be. "MILLION DOLLAR BABY" has been leading comfortably on Spotify on every day except for Friday, but "I Had Some Help" has been extremely dominant on Apple & iTunes...where there isn't enough data to be fully certain of how dominant it is. To complicate further, the two songs have been extremely chaotic in their high stream getting that it's very possible tonight will re-calibrate the situation again. I am not going to make any declaration on this because I really can't call the race. Another reason that it's hard to call is that I still don't really know what ARIA does with Thursday streaming data, it's never really been elaborated on. This is relevant for this week's chart because Kendrick Lamar has two top 10 debuts and we just don't know the reality of it. If you've read the US/UK/NZ charts already, then you might have noticed the sweeping effect of time zones, crucial to "Not Like Us" with its release on Sunday when comparing it to "euphoria" which had a full week. That's also worth noting for last week, as "euphoria" was completely missing from the survey because ARIA rarely add unexpected late releases like that record to the survey, unless they're really high probably. "Like That" also rebounds. I thought it was funny when I heard part of the instrumental playing over the footy broadcast last week, and it's made more funny by the fact that the 3 clubs who are tied with the most (16) premierships are actually all doing well this year, so any one of them could become the big me...well, probably not Essendon. Taylor Swift is #1 for a 3rd week in a row. Dua Lipa debuts at #2. She's never debuted at #1 because it took "Future Nostalgia" 3 weeks to get to #1, but then it proved not to be a fluke because it returned to #1 in 2021 and again in 2022. I am not one of those people who will criticise an artist for not playing the game by tricking people who don't know the album exists into contributing chart points to it. If we get a deluxe version that has "Dance The Night" and "Cold Heart" on it I will rescind this statement, but for now it's based. I should also report that The Weeknd cancelled his already postponed Australian tour so "The Highlights"'s path to #1 has been stalled considerably, even though it totally looks like it could get there if Taylor Swift stops putting out albums for a bit. Speaking of being based, I would think that you are super cool if you decide to donate money to an autism-related charity that isn't Autism Speaks. It always bears reminding that a lot of people who probably don't think of themselves as ableist are probably prone to mocking people who display neurodivergent behaviour. Maybe don't see someone who is harmlessly being themselves as something to mock for being 'cringe', or someone who needs to be put in their place by the reply mob. We just want to be ourselves. On an unrelated note, Sia's new album debuts just outside the top 10. It's been quite a while but her last regular studio album "This Is Acting" did debut at #1. Chappell Roan has decided to deride my silly observation from last week by neither rising, nor falling. Because of how ARIA used to freeze the chart over the Christmas period, the record for weeks peaking at #50 was set in 1995 by You Am I's single "Mr. Milk", something I always assumed would be unbeatable but I suppose the current streaming age makes it a little more possible, although still very difficult in a consecutive sense. |

It's his 5th #1 hit and Morgan Wallen's 2nd but you know it's true. While I've found that the streaming age has shifted the tide a little bit away from headline collaborations to people just kinda wanting to listen to a specific artist, the charts aren't just decided by streaming. I'm reminded of previous instances, where the fragments of sales does enough to turn the result, like "I Don't Care" in 2019, and "Hold Me Closer" in 2022, also big name collaborations. It's possible that "I Had Some Help" will stick the landing a little better than them and maybe even dominate the top spot on streaming alone. In any case, this particular week saw the two combined versions of "MILLION DOLLAR BABY" score the highest ever streaming week in Australian Spotify history, and it gets a #2 peak hold for its troubles. It could still get there next week but the top two are both bleeding out quite a bit and I tend to lean to the incumbent in cases like this. Anyway let's get to the ARIA funnies check up. The Taylor Swift typo is still there, but "Scared To Start" has a new feature credit, so I guess Joy Oladokun has her first ever charting hit here. The irony of it sitting next to "Like That" which still only has two artists credited is not lost on me. In case you were wondering, "Like That" only just got added to Hot Hits Australia so that's why it climbed a little this week. Skrillex is still credited on "HUMBLE." btw. Myles Smith also debuts to the chart, bringing with him the 3rd ever single/EP called "Stargazing" to chart. If you don't include his Major Lazer feature, then technically Travis Scott also debuted to the chart with "STARGAZING" too. No "SICKO MODE" for Myles as far as I can see. Taylor Swift is #1 for a 4th week but what a shocker of a week for her as she only has 1 album in the top 10, that hasn't happened in about a year. It's a good time to highlight a fascinating thing I noticed in the past few weeks. It highlights the importance of an artist's Spotify top 10 list because while you would reasonably assume a new album would drive attention away from her catalogue, it actually didn't. It wasn't until her top 10 updated with almost only tracks from her new album ("Cruel Summer" is still there though) that it caused a near total exodus from the Spotify chart. About 8 different Taylor Swift songs have been missing in action on the Spotify chart since a little bit after the album came out. "Anti-Hero" has gone from being permanently in the top 50 to struggling to stay in the top 200. "Cruel Summer" even shows no signs of returning to the top 10 after previously showing no signs of ever leaving it, presumably because the top 10 playlist as it is just doesn't have enough crowd-pleasers in it. It'll be interesting to see if there's an upswing once things return to regularity. Anyway, the last Australian artist to go to #1 was Troye Sivan. He was nearly followed up by Troy but understandably it'll be a while before most non-superstar artists have a shot at it. The country stalwart has actually never had a #1 album excluding the roughly 1 day when his Adam Harvey collaboration was announced at #1 ahead of Kanye West's "Yeezus", but had to have erroneous sales deducted after the fact, which is the last time that ARIA have changed the album chart after publishing it (I have to remember the singles chart was post-fixed last year when David Kushner disappeared for no reason one week). With that in mind, this is his second #2 album. Olivia Rodrigo announced an Australian tour that doesn't come within 2000 kilometres of me, but it does for most Australians, so both of her albums are back in the top 4. The last Angus & Julia Stone album that wasn't a video game soundtrack debuted at #2, but it had a fair excuse because Foo Fighters had an album out on the same week. This time around there are less excuses because that album was #5 in its second week and that's where this new one debuts. I like "Losing You" quite a bit. Jumping up a bit though this time around is Knocked Loose, who just barely made the top 50 last time, now they're well ensconced at #14. Also this is mostly a terrible week in general for former Hottest 100 winners. Aside from Angus & Julia Stone, both versions of "Somebody That I Used To Know" dropped a bit on the Australian singles chart, Billie Eilish's albums both tanked this week, The Wiggles' rave album which is a real thing dropped a bit as well, but the crowning achievement in all of this is that a new Kings of Leon album debuted at #20. On the other hand, I guess "Riptide" climbed this week, "Not Like Us" made the top 5, and I think Macklemore may have made the top 100 with "HIND'S HALL". On an unrelated note, I am not covering the Eurovision stats this year. Also new year seems to mean new Gunna album where it's anyone's guess where it's gonna land. This one is a bit higher than the last one. Also just want to note in the world of long running albums, this week is the first time "÷" has left the top 50 outside the month of December. Also of great pertinence, Luke Combs' second album sits at #50 this week. It's still the longest running album to have never dropped out once, but perhaps that's coming to an end. |

The circumstances surprise me a little but there might be a lesson here in that if you see something debut on the Thursday Spotify chart due to morning streams, they absolutely count to the following week's charts. In the case of "I Had Some Help", that's a pretty significant number. It also segues nicely into Billie Eilish who is perhaps also subject to this expectation adjustment. Her entire album debuts in the top 23, quite an improvement from her previous outing, with 3 entries in the top 10. "LUNCH" might seem a little low at #5 but it should improve next week. She's also joined by a new soundtrack entry from Luke Combs. I'd say this is about all of note this week but I have to point out that Joy Oladokun has been taken back off "Scared To Start" so that's mildly amusing. Also I staked the claim at the start of the year that "Prada" would outlast "Escapism." in the top 50. After looking dangerous in recent weeks, it has managed to do it. Billie Eilish debuts at #1 for a third time, but you knew that, since all her previous albums are on the chart this week with their peaks on full display. Also yay Australia, because we have a new peak for Hoodoo Gurus. We're far enough into the year that their debut album actually was released 40 years ago as this anniversary release pulls it into the top 10 for the first time ever, having peaked at #29 back in the day. Also this week we've got Slash on a bit of a comedown from typically landing in the top 4, and then we've got ZAYN who actually did chart higher with his last album, "Nobody Is Listening" got to #10 here. Lastly sneaking in for the first time is Beth Gibbons. Noted fan/understander of her Kendrick Lamar collab, Drake, is nowhere to be seen in the top 50 this week, curious. |
