BuzzJack Music Forum _ UK Charts _ Who will get the first #1 of 2021: Take 2

Posted by: Joulupukki 20th December 2020, 07:48 PM

Added Ed Sheeran into the mix, taken some obvious tracks away from the last thread topic, let's take 2.

I'm thinking now Ed Sheeran, hope the track is good.

Ideally for me still The Kid LAROI

Posted by: Michael Bubré 20th December 2020, 07:48 PM

Can't really fairly answer that second question when Ed's song isn't even out yet kink.gif

Posted by: ElectroBoy 20th December 2020, 07:49 PM

Dependent on what Boris does; The Kunts for sure

Posted by: Joulupukki 20th December 2020, 07:50 PM

Actually I got an idea, I close this topic for now till the morning, Bre has got a point laugh.gif

Posted by: Rob S Claus 20th December 2020, 07:50 PM

Miley and Dua on the poll twice heehee.gif

I want either them or Taylor. Can't tell if I want Ed obviously till Ive heard it. It'll be between Ed, CJ and Ariana I think for the top 3!

Take it away for Take 2 cheer.gif

Would love Taylor but think it will be Ed for a few weeks. Would love to see Ed, Shane, Taylor and Kid LAROI to nab a number one too but unlikely for Taylor and Shane

Posted by: Bjork 21st December 2020, 12:41 PM

cancel everything, 1000% Ed

Posted by: 777666jason 21st December 2020, 12:43 PM

Unless he beats ladbaby this week surely ed

Posted by: Christmasteve201 21st December 2020, 01:29 PM

Ed Sheehan for both polls.

Will 34+35 be on acr if it drops again this week?

Nope. Would need to drop this week and next week. Will almost certainly avoid as it picks up streams again post Christmas as the market falls

Posted by: Christmasteve201 21st December 2020, 01:36 PM

Well that’s good as it deserves a post Xmas push!

Posted by: dancemberlexa 21st December 2020, 01:37 PM

Afterglow doesn't sound like it'll be another long running #1 but should easily make it next week at least (and maybe hold it for 4-6 weeks depending on the release schedule)

Posted by: Christmasteve201 21st December 2020, 03:02 PM

4-6 weeks is surely a decent running number one?

Posted by: BrookeOlivia 21st December 2020, 03:05 PM

I voted for Ed, I am sure he will get #1 next week.

Posted by: Dobby Helms 23rd December 2020, 10:26 AM

34+35
Whoopty

Posted by: Christmasteve201 23rd December 2020, 12:06 PM

The one vote for ‘Whoopty’ could surprise everyone!

Posted by: Dan17F1 23rd December 2020, 12:14 PM

Yeah I voted for Ed but looking how it’s performing on streaming now, I’m more tempted that it might be ‘Whoopty!’

Posted by: dancemberlexa 23rd December 2020, 12:32 PM

once christmas is over and people start playing hot hits uk again, Ed will rise up to number one.

Posted by: Tawdry Hepburn 23rd December 2020, 02:40 PM

I'd like to think this could be the start of him not just sailing to #1 with everything he releases.

But also, I really hope that dreadful 'Whoopty' thing stays as far away as possible too.

'Cross Me' says hello (despite being the best of the singles from his collab album).

Posted by: Alohomara 24th December 2020, 01:00 AM

I still stand by my prediction in the previous thread which was Whoopty. Rooting for a 34+35 steal though.

Not a fair comparison to make considering his other single I Don't Care was number one when Cross Me was released.

Wham! and Mariah are the dark horses here: I wonder if we’re underestimating them and they could do 25-30k today even on ACR.

That would only be relevant if it peaked at #2, which it didn't. x

Think we might have to make a third version of this thread including Wham! and Mariah following their massive Spotify numbers yesterday

Posted by: Joulupukki 26th December 2020, 12:51 PM

If anyone want to do a Take 3 version go for it, having a day off

Posted by: JackTheeStallion 26th December 2020, 01:57 PM

I'm thinking it will be CJ now sad.gif. I really hope not though, I'd actually prefer Ed!

It’s not enough for number one though, half that and add like 400k SCR streams for the rest of the week!

Posted by: LMLou 26th December 2020, 02:05 PM

If there is a take 3 I think it’s fair enough to assume not that’s it’s not gonna be Prisoner and likely not Willow either, but as has been said in the Spotify thread it likely could still be Jess

Posted by: Christmasteve201 26th December 2020, 02:22 PM

I just the Spotify thread and might have to rethink the above message I posted 😅
