So the results of the double elimination are in, and we have a draw for 17th place...
17. Ciara feat. Ludacris - Ride (24.00%, 6 votes)
So bowing out of the rate at a lowly joint 18th is 'Ride', Ciara's lead single from her 4th studio album 'Basic Instinct'. Although no-one could argue that 'Basic Instinct' was packed with hits (and has widely been criticised for containing her weakest material) 'Ride' managed to peak at #42 on the US Billboard Hot 100 becoming something of a slow burning hit and remains her second highest peaking single since the turn of the decade. Without getting too gushy about how much I love this song, to say I'm gutted that #Pray4Ride didn't work is an understatement. This is definitely in my top 3 Ciara songs and is possibly one of the finest examples of pure female R&B since the turn of the decade. All made even better by what must be one of the sexist music videos of all time (?), 'Ride' is just the perfect package for me. However, it would appear you guys didn't feel as strongly so I guess I gotta let it go...
17. Ciara feat. Jeezy - Never Ever (24.00%, 6 votes)
And the other casualty of the double elimination is another of Ciara's balladry singles (which seem to be getting a bit of a hitting) in the shape of 'Never Ever'. This track was promoted as the official lead single from Ciara's 3rd album 'Fantasy Ride' after the previous attempt at leading the album with 'Go Girl' was scrapped due to poor performance. Although BuzzJack has concluded that they prefer 'Never Ever' to the previous single attempt, it would appear you guys don't prefer it by much, only beating it by a single place. The song met with a middling reception from the general public too, only managing a US Billboard Hot 100 position of #66; not her worst by any means but not worth boasting about either. This position seems about right for 'Never Ever', which I have never been particularly fond of. I think the extent of the sample use of 'If You Don't Know Me By Now' as the whole chorus really puts me off as I feel like the song doesn't really add anything new.

So which track is the weakest left?
Round 5 will stay open for appoximately 3 days. Get voting!
Gimme Dat for me now.
EDIT: wait I just voted and my vote has vanished?
has to be 'sorry' for me now
don't understand how it picked up 0 votes last round when songs like 'oh!' and 'promise' were getting targeted. sort it out people.
Promise for me again.
Ride One of her absolute best. Buzzjack cannot be trusted in these things...
'Ride' is by far my favourite of hers. It's become one of my favourite songs ever in recent years. Agree that the video really completes the package too. So sexy.
'I'm Out' again for me :')
Gimme Dat
Not Ride, it's my favourite of hers! Lush R&B at its best.
I even made a remix of it years ago:
Gimme Dat
When I now think about it, this is actually worse than 'Ride' so probably should've picked this first. Oh well.
Didn't Body Party get a higher peak than Ride??
Still 'Oh!' for me. I love 'Sorry' and 'Gimmie Dat' .
wtf at Gimme Dat leading, what is this Basic Instinct racism
Love, Sex, Magic
Got Me Good
Are you purposefully killing this rate's quality by voting "Gimme Dat" and "Promise"? Love yourselves.
Went with "Sorry".
Love yourself right back.
Sorry
I remember thinking 'Gimme Dat' was great when I first heard it, but it really isn't one of her best at all. She has so many much better bangerz. Not my least favourite here but won't be too sad to see it leaving!
Ride is awesome
