Dexton's Top 40 (26/06/2018) (Week 59)



Panic! At The Disco become the first artist since George Ezra to spend over two weeks at #1, with High Hopes at the top for a third week boosted slightly by Pray For The Wicked's album release (although theres also not a whole lot of competition for #1 right now). Maroon 5's Girls Like You featuring Cardi B (3-2) climbs for a fourht consecutive week, whilst 5 Seconds Of Summer earn their first ever Top 5 hit with Youngblood (9-5). Lily Allen returns to the Top 5 with her latest single Lost My Mind which debuts at #4 this week, following Trigger Bang featuring Giggs which peaked at #5 earlier this year. Panic! At The Disco are also returning to the Top 5 with another song, Hey Look Ma, I Made It from their latest album. Say Amen (Saturday Night) reached #4 a few weeks ago and their newest entry to the chart debuts in that same position!

Troye Sivan's Dance To This featuring Ariana Grande (2-11), Clean Bandit's Solo featuring Demi Lovato (4-7), and George Ezra's Shotgun (8-5) all fall out of the Top 5. Cardi B's I Like It featuring J Balvin & Bad Bunny (18-9) becomes Cardi B's second Top 10 single (and second current Top 10 single with Girls Like You at #2) as well as J Balvin's second to peak at #9. Vance Joy's Saturday Sun (13-10) also enters the Top 10. Jorja Smith earns her third total Top 10 hit with Blue Lights (21-6), and second as a lead artist.

Other notable climbs this week are Juice WRLD's Lucid Dreams (23-14), Niall Horan & Maren Morris' Seeing Blind (17-15), Kygo & Imagine Dragons' Born To Be Yours (20-16), The Rubens' Never Ever featuring Sarah Aarons (40-25), Martin Garrix's Ocean featuring Khalid (37-26), Sigala, Fuse ODG, & Sean Paul's Feels Like Home featuring Kent Jones (39-33), and Beyonce & Jay-Z's Apeshit (38-34). Non-Top 10- new entries this week come from Cheat Codes & Little Mix, Panic! At The Disco, Ariana Grande, and Jonas Blue. Cheat Codes & Little Mix's Only You (#27) is the latest collaboration single from both groups and becomes the third Top 40 hit for both of them. Panic! At The Disco's King Of The Clouds enters at #35, this was released as a promotional single last week but only hit me with the album this weekend.

Surprise surprise Panic!'s Pray For The Wicked is this weeks #1 album and is already contending for album of the year I think against George Ezra's Staying At Tamara's! Every song from this album could easily chart here in a quieter week. Jorja Smith's Lost & Found returns to its #2 peak, and Panic! At The Disco's Death of a Bachelor re-enters at #4.

Lost of Panic in the Top 40 this week Listening to Hey Look Ma now, the beat is alright but the lyrics are... not exactly me

Massive climb for Blue Lights Could that be the one to topple High Hopes?

Jonas Blue entering as well, it's a really good track but not one of his best - We Could Go Back deserved so much more

Heya Dexton, I'm enjoying the Cheat Codes & Little Mix and Jonas Blue entries this week. They're two songs I'm really enjoying at the moment.

I quite like Apeshit too so nice to see that one climb a bit this week.
