Big fan of Troye in your countdown so far! I've not taken to that The Weeknd and Madonna song. I find it really plain and boring tbh Jack Harlow isn't really my thing so I still haven't heard it in full but heard majority of it and snippets here and there and I'm happy not to venture further I avoid all things The Kid LAROI too. LMAO! Oops. I haven't heard Paloma, I don't think? She's hit and miss with me but I should probably check that out at some point. 'RUSH' is an absolute MONSTER though. A great song. That's understandable re Weeknd. As mentioned it didn't hit it off with me to begin with either. Haha without the catchy sample things might have remained the same with my stance on Jack too tbh. I dont think your the only one in regards to KID LAROI yeah 'Rush' is pretty good so at least something you like here so far |

The most recent #1 in my personal chart and it of course comes from the legend that is CHER!! 'DJ Play A Christmas Song' become her first top 20 hit in 22 years in the official UK Chart and still brings out the bops! |

94 comes from South African singer Tyla with 'Water'. A mild saultry bop but also one I am starting to tire of now, still manages to make my EOY though helped up by it doing pretty well in my own chart! |

Sam dropped a Christmas single as part of Alexa and it peaked officially at... 2 which seems to be his destiny. It did reach my number one though and has had comparison to 'Underneath The Tree' mixed in with 'I Wish It Could Be Christmas Everyday'. A fun track! |

The first of the BJSC related songs to pop up now and thanks to Dobago who sent this fab poppy indie, late night car driving track from LAUREL with 'Scream Drive Faster'. |

Must seem like the first ever appearance for legendary rockers U2 to be in one of my EOY's before and it's their latest return single... |

next up is Kimbra, yes the same Kimbra that featured on the massive Gotye track. Well she was entered into BJSC 152 and was touted as a winner contender only to miss the top 30 altogether still massively undeserved for a banger like this! |

This is a bop from Kelela with 'Contact' and was attempted into BJSC 152 but got vetoed oop. One would think it could be among the winner contenders if allowed in. There are two to come that also were in the same situation although one was a bit on the ridiculous side of things but we'll get to that later |

'Scream Drive Faster' was a great BJSC discovery, the late night driving vibes are very appealing!

Kelela is a great choice, really enjoyed her album at the start of last year (although I sort of forgot about it, oops!). Rush, Lovin On Me (if anything was gonna block Houdini I'm glad it was this!) and Popular are also great!

Hey Roba
These are my favourites outside your top 100: 102. Pearly Drops - Call For Help 103. Mall Grab - Spirit Wave 112. La Zarra -Évidemment 117. Nyeteout - Angels Forever 120. Aran Burn – Titan 127. Rosegarden Funeral Party – Gates of Heaven 132. Headache - The Beginning Of The End 133. LSDXOXO – Double Tap 140. Vandal Moon – Heroine Dancer 154. Bizarrap feat. Shakira - Bzrp Music Sessions Vol.53 155. Kylie Minogue - Story 159. Troye Sivan – One Of Your Girls 160. The Beatles – Now and Then 165. Gorillaz feat. Ade Omotayo - Silent Running 166. MANON – Gabba Gabba Hey!! Some fabulous BJSC taste there! I appreciate the Rosegarden Funeral Party support of course and both Headache and Vandal Moon got 18s, such standouts 'Rush' is my favourite within your top 100 so far! I still can't quite believe Troye's success in the singles chart last year *.* |

A banger from Becky Hill teaming up with Chase & Status at 88 and a step up from a couple of the naff ones she was on in 2022 lol. |

Says a lot when this is the only 2023 album I have heard in full (really need to put more dedication into 'of the current year' albums x) P!nk's album TRUSTFALL is a mixed bunch though with one half being fab and then the other a bit average oops. 'Hate Me' obviously belongs to the former as it's very punchy and catchy and reminds me of some of her 2009 music! |

Atomic City is quite a fun one! Hadn't noticed the Call Me comparison but certainly get where you're coming from. Nice to see You're Christmas To Me appear as well, certainly a fun one from Sam.

PinkPantheress got her breakthrough hit in the early period of 2023 and a remix which tagged Ice Spice on it got it stream rolling further to 2. It's a pretty good bop albeit not an absolute essential for me! |

She bagged herself my track of 2022 and crops up for the first in 2023's EOY at 84. Canadian star Tate McRae with her latest bop 'exes' which I hope can still nab a top 10 peak officially soon. Will 'greedy' do the double years on the trot for Tate though... we'll find out later on! |
