Y'all know it is TOTALLY fake too, right?

The producers choose the acts. They know who is going through to the lives from the FIRST AUDITIONS. The acts get EMAILS from the producers telling them if they're through or not. They'll be in communication with them about the lives. All those tears when Nicole says sorry love, you're going home? For the camera. They already know. Rylan falling off the sofa? For the camera. Then at the lives, they clearly sabotage people, especially the ones they don't like - Talia - with song choices, themes, costumes, chosen by the producers. The judges are just there to be famous faces. They spend about 5 minutes a week with an act for the cameras to see them giving some dodgy advice. The only one who actually spent time with his acts was Nick Grimshaw I hear. Sharon even spent the week in America! Simon did that one year too and Cheryl was going to do the same.

Why Robbie's wife, this does no bode well at all for the show.
Like i have said in previous posts, if they concentrated as much on the winners as they do on the judging panel the show may perform better than it is.
There is little difference now in X Factor winners and The Voice winners.

can they really not find people more famous than Robbie Williams's wife??

Robbie himself is a good get but why did they sign up Ayda too? she isn't even a singer or someone who works with singers like Simon/Louis. * wacko.gif wonder if Robbie would only do it if he could bring her along.

(* I guess that never stopped Sharon Osbourne, but still
edit: she actually did manage singers, just read on Wiki)

She is on Loose Women tbf of her own accord (well, still for being Robbie's wife) as well as US comedy roles, but she's not *only* famous for being his wife. Not that has anything to do with music, and even in the case of Nick Grimshaw he was at least a radio DJ which is at least to do with music.

I wonder if they'll be "one" judge and have a category like say the Madden twins on The Voice AU (although again, both are from music so that was fine), surely they can't give a TV personality a category to mentor when she has nothing to do with music? laugh.gif Sharon who had experience managing acts was a disaster lmao.

Why the X Factor producers seem to have lost the selling point of the show seriously baffles me.

The whole point is the journey. We meet someone ordinary and see them evolve into a popstar with a makeover to then go through the live shows. It's like Stars in their Eyes but dragged out.

Making the audition process needlessly long and adding more and more middling stages between seeing the ordinary person and seeing the makeover and then the interactive gameshow bit of it starting is what makes people start to switch off. Likewise making the interactive live shows part shorter. If any of it, that's the bit you want to keep!

I never agreed with reducing the amount of Live shows as they are the highlights of the series. I felt it was a crazy decision.

I think that's part of what makes it hard for me to connect with The Voice, they have less live shows and thus less viewer involvement, it really does end up feeling a bit like Stars In Their Eyes laugh.gif I think that's fine for The Voice which has a different vibe, but it doesn't help the lack of success afterwards because it feels like glorified pub karaoke on a Saturday night with a winner, and like it's ok to watch if nothing is on and you're in bored. X Factor used to be so unmissable and such an event but it's turning into the same now. You don't see a star emerging, you see someone singing a few songs for a few weeks and then they win and not a lot happens.

I just had Loose Women on (wild Monday, I know) and Ruth was heavily hinting at Ayda being a judge while they were interviewing Tulisa. So I wouldn't be surprised if this is true, although it's like Gavin Rossdale levels of scraping the barrel and she isn't even involved with music like he is :')

X Factor is dropping all pretence it seems.

Remember, they don't ACTUALLY mentor the acts. They spend five minutes with then for the cameras. The producers even pick the acts AND promise scouted acts a place in the lives BEFORE the auditions. It is all fake.

https://www.thesun.co.uk/tvandshowbiz/67947...x-factor-panel/

Officially confirmed - Simon, Robbie, Ayda, Louis Tomlinson

Worst panel in the history of the show..

"But bosses are optimistic the line-up will lead to a hugely successful year for the show, with insiders saying Robbie has been high on Simon's wish-list for many years.

A source said: "He's an absolute dream signing. People have wanted him on one of these shows for a decade, it's an amazing hire.""

Good god, not sure I can be arsed with this series either with a line-up like that... Robbie I suppose I get, he is a huge name, fairly big personality, even if I don't personally like him much. But his wife is honestly the biggest barrel scrape I can think of in reality TV history, and Louis is the one that least people care about in 1D surely? laugh.gif Ayda might be really fun and great (haven't thought much of her from what I've seen), but as a name to draw people in nobody is going to bother.
