Hello Jade!
Great top 5, all of them are great songs, especially "Girlfriend" and "Solo", "Girlfriend" keeps growing and growing on me, it might be a perfect summer hit for me! As for the debuts, I need to listen to the new Kanye song and Lily Allen's album. Hopefully the album will be great, because I kinda liked "Trigger Bang" and "Lost My Mind"! Great chart overall! P.S. I followed you on last.fm, just so you now. This post has been edited by sergejdordij98: Jun 9 2018, 05:36 AM |

Hi Jade!
Don't know any of your new entries (barring KOD and I'm not exactly a fan ), I'll do some listening now: Unfold is quite nice, liking those violins and it's quite a relaxing piece (maybe not the bast for when I'm trying to revise but oh well ) Come On Then is interesting, it's not hitting me immediately but the chorus sounds like the type that could worm its way into my head deep end is quite nice as well, I still haven't heard anything I've liked as much as Dance Dance Dance yet though Great chart |

I followed you on last.fm, just so you now. Hey there Serge Glad that you're approving of my top 5 *.* not much has changed there since last week except the 'Solo' climb I guess - pleased that you're liking both that and 'Girlfriend'! Yayyy for growing power have you seen the video yet? that might help it grow even more *.* it indeed feels so lovely for the summer <3 do check out new Kanye, it has impacted here off the back of only one listen and I need to hear the new Lily album too as I loved 'Trigger Bang' and now 'Come On Then', very interesting directions for her! Thank you for commenting <3 followed you back on last.fm! Hi Jade! Don't know any of your new entries (barring KOD and I'm not exactly a fan ), I'll do some listening now: Unfold is quite nice, liking those violins and it's quite a relaxing piece (maybe not the bast for when I'm trying to revise but oh well ) Come On Then is interesting, it's not hitting me immediately but the chorus sounds like the type that could worm its way into my head deep end is quite nice as well, I still haven't heard anything I've liked as much as Dance Dance Dance yet though Great chart Hey there Pete! Haha fair enough at 'KOD' not being your thing tbh I'm not really interested in checking out the rest of the album as it seems quite dull, but that song was a pleasant surprise for me on the chart show, forgot to chart it last week so a belated new entry this time That's cool of you to check out these new entries *.* you can never go wrong with Ólafur Arnalds tbh although I'm surprised you say that because it seems like the kind of thing I would revise to glad you like 'deep end' too, this Lykke Li era is pretty exciting *.* cool choice there, I think my favourite is still 'I Follow Rivers'! thank you for commenting <3 |

Hi jade!
Christine still rules, the Lily Allen track I need to hear a couple of times I think, the album seems a bit understated musically, but not lyrically. I'm afraid the other new entries I havent heard yet, bar Kanye which I caught on radio 1 while half asleep. I need to do some holiday youtubing on your chart I think! Fab to see Portugal. The Man still charting - oh how I wish I'd BJSC-ed it when it came out, it was my back-up choice that month cheers! john |

And oh yes I'd definitely give 'Come On Then' a bit more of a chance, very Lily lyrically and the production is so interesting. Need to give the album a spin at some point. Fair enough at you not being so familiar with the other new entries here, poor Kanye that would be very cool of you to check out other songs from here, hope you're having a great holiday! Haha yes, 'Feel It Still' just about hanging in there! I was not aware that it was a Singerpurear potential, can you remember what you actually went with instead? Thanks for commenting <3 |

hi Jade
good to see Christine still at #1 and Disclosure staying in the top five. not familiar with the new entries in the top 10 but I like 'yikes' from your other new entries, that and 'all mine' seem to be the only decent songs on the new Kanye project but it's good to at least have those. Dimension holding on to top 15 too! great chart! |

Dimension holding on to top 15 too! great chart! hey Dan Yay for the Christine and Disclosure love *.* hopefully both of the respective eras will continue to pan out in a good way after these strong starts. Ah fair enough, I discovered them both through New Music Friday tbh but neither were particularly high up on the playlist glad to hear that you're a fan of 'Yikes', it really grabbed me on first listen when played on the chart (I think the Kid Cudi one needs a bit more time for me though), I'm intrigued to hear 'All Mine' from both your hype and Francis and The Lights' involvement with it will get round to it soon! Indeed, it's really sticking with me post-contest *.* Thanks for commenting <3 (and for the one last week as well, there were a few comments I didn't get round to replying to while I was busy but it was appreciated!) |

01. Christine and the Queens - Girlfriend (feat. Dâm-Funk) [01-01] 02. Childish Gambino - This Is America [02-02] 03. Clean Bandit - Solo (feat. Demi Lovato) [05-03] (I LOL'd at the part in the chorus with the 'woo-woo-woo' because it came the f*** out of nowhere, like the train noise in Noah Cyrus' Make Me (Cry) ) 04. Disclosure - Ultimatum (feat. Fatoumata Diawara) [03-04] 06. Duke Dumont - Inhale (feat. Ebenezer) [06-06] 10. Drake - Nice For What [08-10] (I got turn'd up to this song in my Y13 Prom last month) 11. Arctic Monkeys - Four Out Of Five [13-11] 12. Ariana Grande - No Tears Left To Cry [09-12] 15. Kanye West - Yikes (My fave from his new short album) 19. The 1975 - Give Yourself A Try [37-19] (And you call it 'Give Yourself A Try' despite the fact that its obviously 'Disorder') 23. George Benson) [22-25] (I like the music video, with Jack Black's cameo. You may have heard that Ace from PPG is filling in for Murdoch. Speaking of PPG, in the Powerpuff Girls Movie, there is a scene with a villain reading a newspaper while making an evil laugh. On the newspaper, there is an advert for a Gorillaz Tour) 26. Calvin Harris - One Kiss (feat. Dua Lipa) [17-26] 28. Lykke Li - deep end (Reminds me of High By The Beach by Lana Del Rey a bit) 29. Liam Payne - Familiar (feat. J Balvin) [19-29] 31. George Ezra - Paradise [23-31] 35. Diplo - Color Blind (feat. Lil Xan) (My fave from his new EP) 40. Portugal. Mr Probz - Waves (Robin Schulz Remix) [17-10-2-4-4-5-8] Speaking of the throwback tune, they re-released Heligoland on triple vinyl, but it's about £55 |

Mr Probz - Waves (Robin Schulz Remix) [17-10-2-4-4-5-8] Speaking of the throwback tune, they re-released Heligoland on triple vinyl, but it's about £55 Hey there Dalek Haha yeah I wasn't quite expecting the chorus of 'Solo' to be so bold, even though I had already seen that people were comparing a line of it to sounding like quacking noises it totally works though for me!! Haha yesss at you enjoying 'Nice For What' at prom, I don't really remember a lot of songs at my Y13 prom back in 2015 tbh, I think Natalie La Rose - 'Somebody' rings a bell though. My Y11 one back in 2013 was more memorable, I remember 'Blurred Lines' coming on about 5 times and of course 'Mr Brightside' Yay for 'Yikes' being your fave from the new Kanye project, it's so good! Lmao at your 'Give Yourself A Try' comment, the resemblance to Joy Division is uncanny, but definitely not a bad thing in my book *.* I may have to check out 'The Cut Off' from the J. Cole album, already heard 'ATM' as it was also played on the chart show along with 'KOD'. Ooh I loved the Powerpuff Girls Movie is a kid but had no idea about the Gorillaz on the newspaper thing so thanks for pointing that out *.* and ooh I'll have to listen out for the Lana comparison next time I listen to 'deep end'! Heligoland triple vinyl sounds amazing *.* the steep price tag is understandable but damn thank you for commenting <3 |

Well this is a nice fresh chart to look at
I do like your number 1 - perhaps not enough for number 1, but still a great song. Also starting to really appreciate the Childish Gambino track. One of the best rap tracks of this era I think. Interested to see the James Blake song listed - is this a new single? I've liked his stuff in the past though the track he released earlier this year (something like "If The Car Beside You Moves Ahead") was atrocious (IMO anyway!) Also need to give that Lykke Li track more listens! Nice one Jade |

‘Look Back’ ft. DRAM is really good too Ahh okay, thank you for the recommendation! I'm going to check out loads of new stuff later and I'll aim to listen to that as well in addition. Well this is a nice fresh chart to look at I do like your number 1 - perhaps not enough for number 1, but still a great song. Nice one Jade Hey there Midge Indeed not sure if you had a personal chart the last time I made mine (around 2016) unless my memory fails me, so it's cool that we both have one now and can interact here glad that you approve of 'Girlfriend'! Fair enough if it's not quite #1 material for you though, I guess Ariana is quite the force to be reckoned with. Yayyy at the Childish Gambino appreciation *.* I liked 'This Is America' on first listen but it grew into something really special after a few listens I totally agree, it's so powerful! As for James Blake, I believe 'Don't Miss It' is the follow up single to 'If The Car Besides You Moves Ahead' indeed (oops at you not liking that I really did but it is certainly a very left-field release from him, this one is a bit more accessible) and currently has a lyric video in the style of typing notes on to an iPhone hope you'll enjoy the new one. Yessss do spam the hell out of the Lykke Li song, it's so good! Thank you for commenting <3 Boo hiss at M-22 dropping out I didn't think you'd approve of that, oops x Just a case of quite a few new entries this week! (thank you for commenting! x) lmao bye Post Malone I think the only one of your new entries I’ve heard was Color Blind... need to check out the J Cole song actually hey there Cody Oops I think 'Stay' will be staying (gah) around here for a good while though, that is definitely the song by him that has grabbed me the most since 'rockstar', I really like his more heartfelt moments 'I Fall Apart' is my fave by him after all. Ah okay, well that's a good one to have heard tbh! Yes I would recommend the J. Cole song, definitely the best thing I've heard by him to date. Thanks for commenting <3 |

Heligoland triple vinyl sounds amazing *.* the steep price tag is understandable but damn They played Mr. Brightside in both my Y11 and Y13 proms. As a meme I found on Facebook suggests, it has the power to turn a room full of drunk strangers into what feels like a family reunion. Another fun fact, Gorillaz were originally going to do a song for the PPG Movie soundtrack, but due to scheduling troubles, they didn't manage to do it. The triple vinyl reissue is not as expensive as the original 2010 vinyl release: https://www.discogs.com/Massive-Attack-Heli...release/2126330 |
