So it's not like the first time you see then together again will be announcing a tour. From July to 2023 is supposed to be a 25 year celebration of Spice Girls with several releases, merch and hopefully a tour in the middle of it. There will be a big focus on getting Spice back into the top 10 in November as well. Mel B saying new music and a tour recently is about these releases, you'll hopefully be getting lots of songs you haven't heard or officially had. For the first time really ever these sort of releases are being seen as important too and part of the whole package of celebrations not just something thrown out we already have by Universal as the girls do their own project. |

Yeah I'm not sure their team or Universal really truly know how to deal with them and how to go about releasing things. It's still a let's try and make everything a surprise approach which I think in 2021 just doesn't work.
The good thing about social media is an artist can build hype and excitement with hints, teasing and so on. Where as right now you absolutely would have no idea if anything was happening or coming in July. It doesn't build confidence or excitement in fans. |

It's just stupid if they're freaking out about the French press release leaking out too soon. Most casual fans won't have paid any attention and I don't think there's been any big media coverage from it?
I mean, the One Touch re-release was rumoured for over a year and a half when it was announced. It didn't lessen any impact and I'm sure that they'll get coverage with or without the girls participating (which is the main thing with the announcement anyway - to drive up pre-orders). |

I rewatched Wannabe tonight (and, yes, the ghost IS in the video too!!), and is it my imagination or does VB not sing a single note and just dance out of step in the backgeound, only to pretend at the end that she is singing Mel B's, you gotta, you gotta, you gotta, slam, slam, slam, slam bit?? I thought for years that it was VB singing that bit, as the camera focuses on her as she mimes to it!! That was the first impression of the band too. No wonder the press hated her after that and said she didn't sing.

I honestly think they have no idea how to go about releasing these. I'm sure they wanted the age old 90s approach of a surprise but it's 2021 and these things always get out now early.
Instead as soon as it was signed off they should have been teasing it and building hype on social media. Imagine if a couple of weeks ago they had tweeted a feed your love lyric and wink face with a 96 throwback pic. Instead they missed the Friday launch, now it's on amazon and no doubt they will start rethinking again and bring it forward again because they forgot to push back it from appearing on Amazon too. |

 lol  The cat is well and truly out of the bag, their team really should announce it asap and go live with the pre-orders. There's no point in wasting time... get those 5 weeks of pre-orders. |

I wouldn't be surprised if they announce the pre-order on Tuesday, June 8. Exactly one month before the anniversary. If the vinyl isn't physically being released until July 23, then six weeks is plenty of time for pre-orders.
