I think it was always 'Thriller' until recently but 'Ghostbusters' narrowly beat it last year and judging by the First Look chart it looks like it might be the biggest this year too. 'Thriller' presumably must get far more streams than the others at all other times of the year though.

You know you don't need to be a mod to add a poll, right?

Anyway Halloween always screams 'Thriller' to me and despite 'Ghostbusters' peaking higher last year, I think 'Thriller' would be regarded as the definitive Halloween song if you had to pick one over the others.

^ You do to add a poll to an existing thread which doesn't have one tbf

I kinda wish a song from Hocus Pocus didn’t become recurring and the songs from Halloween the movie aren’t exactly pop just kind of eerie!

When you create a new thread, you should see an option that says "Click here to manage this topic's poll" - try it smile.gif

I have done that and tried it but it basically just posts the thread like I did above and doesn’t add the poll itself I created.

Well biggest is Ghostbusters - got to #2 and sold well over 1 million. “Best” is a more subjective question.

You can also subjectively debate the merits of what actually counts as a Halloween song, and how much weighting is given to how appropriate it is, given that it's highly likely the most successful example of something is not going to be the best example of it. Like you could argue that "The Hills" by The Weeknd has a tenuous enough link to count and that's a bigger hit than anything else outside of 'err actually song I hate is clearly horror because hurr hurr I'm funny'. A lot of these associations are handed to songs after the fact. Otherwise Thriller wouldn't have been released both as an album and a single in November lol.

Rockwell - Somebody's Watching Me actually charted last week in the top 100. It seems to be growing in popularity recently.
