I swear to god if TLC Creep doesn't make it in.... >.<
Interesting topper for the Cheeky Girls! As novelty acts go that is one string of successful chart hits! Honey G could never... |

Think I was the only one who voted for Change by Sugababes, so underrated!
Would have loved to see Bootie Call, Some Kinda Rush and I Want Your Love higher, but no huge losses! |

My votes propelling Vanilla into double figures and ahead of a few Saturdays and Sugababes songs *_ Also, in what world is The Cheeky Song not top out of The Cheeky Girls' discography? x
All Saints' cover of Under the Bridge is ATROCIOUS, I'm very glad others agreed and have it on null! |

We start with 'To You I Belong', a #01 by B*Witched that was very well loved amongst fans and at their absolute peak of stardom. However, it places at a lowly #143 here and fails to qualify for the overall Top 100 . A great shame as it is truly an amazing girlgroup ballad that has got paid dust unfortunately. At #137 is 'Ugly' by Sugababes - again, another I thought was much well regarded amongst fans, it came after 'Push The Button' was one of their most successful singles at the time and was another Top 5 hit for them. It had a very powerful message for a girlgroup single, and showcased great melodies. I'm surprised it isn't higher, and some other Sugababes songs that have made Top 100 are in over it. Not a shock as such but I feel it's a great shame to lose two of my favourite songs by each artist, Atomic Kitten and Spice Girls respectively with 'The Last Goodbye' and 'Mama' for (imo) inferior songs by both artists. They both have such great melodies, Mama is often snubbed in favour of 'Who Do You Think You Are' which I always find unfortunate as that is one of my least favourite Spice Girls songs and slightly drags for me. I find the sentiment with 'Mama' so lovely and touching, and very genuine from the girls. 'The Last Goodbye' gave Atomic Kitten a real sophisticated ballad amongst their back catalogue which often felt vapid, hollow and at times overly cheesy, this ballad however, at least imo, gave a sense of emotion and longing. It was released alongside 'Be With You' which is favoured here. I'm very surprised to see one of my favourite new artists of recent years, M.O, as high as #123 with their breakout hit 'Who Do You Think Of?'. A great throwback to early 00's R&B with a great chorus and an almost nostalgic feel to it. Hopefully they can get a second Top 20 hit with current single 'Bad Vibe' which is currently at #27 in the UK charts. Back to the Sugababes and 'Red Dress', a Top 5 hit for them and their first with Amelle falls short of the Top 100 at #117 joint alongside 'Denial', another one I thought would be higher and I thought was generally more well remembered amongst fans. It's certainly one of my favourites by them at least. The biggest shock in all of this whilst collating results was how poorly 'Wings' by Little Mix did, their first proper single so to speak and a huge #01 for them. However it got little votes and failed to make the Top 100 sadly, and other #01's 'Black Magic' and 'Shout Out To My Ex' have been favoured by fans by them, even follow up single 'DNA' made it. I'm not too sure why, I think it's an amazing pop song and the perfect song for Little Mix to introduce themselves with. Talking of surprises, Supersister sitting at #115 with 'Coffee' baffled me greatly - I didn't realise it was well regarded at all and I had to listen to it to remember how it went! A strange choice, but it got a fair few high points amongst the site. It was only a fleeting Top 20 hit for them, so good for them to be able to retain fans of this song! Finally, I am disappointed to see that Honeyz didn't make with any songs I absolutely loved them back in their day - 'End Of The Line' especially I have always found to be a gorgeous R&B song with plenty of emotion and depth to it, especially for a 90's girlgroup at the time. 'Finally Found' which I believe is their biggest hit is their favourite from you. |

Not bothered about anything that’s been knocked out so far Surprised that Word Up didn’t get any points though, I’m not a fan of the song but I know many others on here who would be Word Up! and Little Me are better than quite a few songs that did get points though (The Cheeky Girls I'm looking at you!). I'm actually not shocked about 'Wings' or 'Hair' so much... but 'Salute' and to a lesser extent 'Reggaeton Lento' (I probs thought that'd be an easy qualifier due to being more recent) I am really surprised. 'Salute' is one of the very best in this list and I really thought that even beyond the stans on this site, it was regarded well enough to make the top 100!!! Ffs Buzzjack.
Your commentary is bang on in regards to 'The Last Goodbye' (although I'm a fan of AK) and 'Mama' being better than 'Who Do You Think You Are'! |

Shackles we’ve lost a genuine classic there
Wings has aged pretty poorly, I’m not too surprised it’s out. |

I'm actually so disappointed that Little Mix and CNCO missed the top 100, but I'm horrified that StickwitU missed the top 100 :/

It was in the Top 100 for the best part of voting, just the last couple of voters pushed it out .

Not overly fussed about 'Wings' dropping out, but I'm gutted at 'Salute', 'Reggaeton Lento', and especially 'Hair'. 'Shackles' is a huge loss for me too, although it seems it completely passed me by in the voting stage, so I can hardly complain too much.

I'm most shocked that Nina Sky missed the top 100! Would've thought 'Move Ya Body' was massively loved here. I'm disappointed at 'Jumpin Jumpin' missing out too, one of Destiny Child's absolute best IMO.

The Honeyz were robbed !!!!
They deserved top 100 with End Of The Line and Finally Found. I thought Red Dress was highly regarded by Sugababes fans ! |

100 | Las Ketchup – The Ketchup Song (Asereje) | 4.04 UK Peak: 01 US Peak: 54 UK Chart Run: 21/09/02 63-56-51-49-01-02-04-04-05-05-06-07-09-08-08-08-09-17-22-29-32-39-53-56-61-72-> 26wks LOVED IT: Chez Wombat, Jade, SevenSieze (10) HATED IT: ...ready for it?, Jack, Joe, SamJudd, missingyou, JosephSprayberry, Mack (-1) Kicking off the Top 100, is the first #01 and one hit wonder Las Ketchup with 'The Ketchup Song' - a huge hit back in the day, I can still remember the dance routine vaguely. It was an inescapable anthem back in 2002 over Summer and then translated into being a huge hit in the UK shortly after when a Spanglish version was released. It sold well into Christmas when a Christmas remix was released too! Everything else by them, unsurprisingly flopped and they are a very much of the time novelty hit now. I'm surprised it amassed enough fans to make Top 100 to be honest! |

99 | SWV - Right Here | 5.43
UK Peak: 03 US Peak: 02 UK Chart Run: 28/08/1993 07-05-03-05-05-08-12-16-21-35-50-66-> 12wks LOVED IT: ...ready for it?, Chez Wombat, Mikee1981 (10) HATED IT: HausOfKubrick, NickF1, UltraReputation (0) At #99 is another one hit wonder of sorts, well this was their only Top 10 at least, SWV with 'Right Here'. It was their debut single in the US and their biggest hit over there and here, it was specifically the remixed version which sampled Michael Jackson's 'Human Nature' that got this song to be a big hit I think and is often referred to as 'Right Here (Human Nature Remix)'. It's a song that I often forget about, but is pleasant enough to listen to when it is played. I don't think it is a classic or anything though. |

A novelty song like the Ketchup song had no business being in the top 100 over some of the songs that failed to make the cut!
