. As Sam said to me once, this time of year we can't really tell with movies until after the Christmas/New Year period. .

Who's Sam?

Huge figures for Star Wars!!

I actually didn't realise that old Xmas films showings would have such an impact. Lol at Home Alone 2 being there ahead of he original.

That's actually some surprisingly solid numbers for Cats in the UK, and definitely not in line with the "flop" headlines it's been getting - although I recognise that it hasn't done as well in the biggest market, the US, and still is likely to end up as a money loser unless it has a large tail to its takings over the next few weeks.

I imagine a lot of Cats sales will be pre-booked/people paying to see it before reading reviews etc..

The 2nd week drop (if it does drop ofc) will be a lot more telling I'd imagine.

Cats hasn't dropped this week as much as I thought it might. I mean the takings.

SO CLOSE between Jumanji & Little Women ohmy.gif

That's a huge win for LW though. I def expected about £2m-£2.5m to debut and have a slow and steady decline.

Cats is actually doing ok.. but we'll see after the holidays. But it's not a complete disaster over here at least
